I'm still in shock at all the time and attention they're lending to our family to make sure we have everything we need as we settle in. Jody makes it her business to closely watch any news horse on their ranch, paying extra attention to any medical needs and feed. She's literally an expert on every horse at her ranch and she treats them all as kindly as she would her own. We've met many families who also board out here and they're all delightful as well. I feel so incredibly blessed to have just so happened to land here. Thank you to Jody, Larry and our trainer, Tenna, who go SO far above and beyond.

The first year we visited, there was a manager named Robert and it was called Circle K Stables. It was kind of run down. The next year a lady named Gayle was the new manager. Now, approximately 5 years later, we came back. there are many new amenities. New wash racks around the ranch. a rebuilt western arena, level with nice sand. Three new round pens. several new turnout pens. a nice pavilion near the rental stables. and several new restrooms. All of the employees that I encountered were very nice. Great job Gayle and staff! Hope we can visit again.

My son attended a 3 day camp in July and we recently took their 1 hour trail ride in Nov…read more We choose these particular activities as it was conducted outdoors with mask and social distancing requirements. There is a sink with soap to wash hands and a porta potty on location. A short walk away is the public restroom for the Rancho Potrero trailhead that is fairly new. For camp there was temperature screening upon arrival. For the trail rides there was a limit of 5 (family members or family pods), age 7 and up, and not more than 200 lbs. My 9 year old son enjoyed the camp more than the trail ride as it taught him basics and provided more opportunities to interact with the horses. He was the only boy at camp but he really likes animals. They went out on short walking rides only, which was plenty for my son. The trail ride was a full hour and we saw coyotes, hawks, and kites. Adults really enjoyed it, but it was a little long for the 7 year old. The other slightly unexpected occurrence was of the horses going through their natural bodily motions during the ride: fart, pee and poop. We were untouched, it just elicited alot of reaction from the kids. Since this is an outdoor activity, dressing for the weather is the main difference that will make your experience enjoyable. In July, we used thinner long pants with vented athletic wear shirts. For Nov, we wore jeans with double layered long sleeved shirts. They do not cancel except for extreme weather. Their website has more information about camps, lessons and rides. We had positive interaction and are grateful to have this facility close to us, and at a reasonable price. Definitely recommend and we would do it again.

My daughter has been taking horse riding lessons with Mrs. Peck since January 2025. This has been…read morean amazing experience and opportunity for my daughter. Not only has she come out of her shell, she has developed more confidence and self-esteem. She is learning how to ride a horse, how to care for a horse, how to properly saddle a horse. Brooke has learned responsibility and respect for animals. Mrs. Peck takes a serious approach to teaching her students about horse riding and care. She starts with the basics of how to care for horses like brushing and grooming them, cleaning the face, using the correct body terms and how to saddle and tack up a horse and ready for riding. She takes safety, very seriously her no nonsense approach teaches children not only to respect an animal that weighs over 1000 pounds. But to have compassion and love for horses. Do not come to Peck Farms expecting this to be a pony ride experience, it is not. She will teach your child how to be responsible. She will teach your child how to take ownership of riding a horse from start to finish. She teaches with love and kindness and compassion, but she also wants to make sure that your child understands directions thoroughly and that they do not get hurt or hurt her horses. I've sat in on my daughter's lesson I have watched and listened, and I appreciate the respect she gives my daughter as well as the kindness and compassion. She shows her. For anyone that says differently about Mrs. Peck. I invite you to come down and actually watch a lesson.Aa few reviews I've read do not match my experience or my daughter's. If you want your child to develop a love of riding horses both western or English saddle. I suggest you book a lesson with Mrs. Peck and come down and watch and see for yourself. I think you'll be very happy with the progress your child will make. I know I'm extremely happy with my daughter's progress. She loves riding.

As someone who has been around horses for a while and has experienced various riding schools, I can confidently say that my time there was far from satisfactory. First and foremost, the facility itself is quite run down. The stalls are not in the best condition, and the overall environment lacks the cleanliness and upkeep one would expect from a stable. This was disheartening, especially considering the importance of a safe and well-maintained space for both riders and horses. When it came to the lessons, I found the timing to be consistently off. The sessions rarely started on time, which led to a lack of organization and made it hard to establish a routine. It often felt like I was left waiting around rather than getting the focused instruction I had hoped for. Speaking of instruction, while I appreciate enthusiasm, the owner talks far too much during lessons. I was eager to learn and get on the horse, but instead, I found myself listening to long monologues rather than engaging in practical exercises. As a result, I felt that valuable time was wasted, and my riding skills did not progress as I had hoped. As a result, I felt that valuable time was wasted, and my riding skills did not progress as I had hoped. In terms of cost, Pecks not offering value for money. The lessons are quite expensive considering the quality of instruction and facility. There are certainly better options in the area that provide a far superior experience for a similar or even lower price. Additionally, I had a troubling experience with the owner, who was consistently late for our scheduled sessions. This lack of professionalism was not only frustrating but also set a negative tone for my overall experience. Moreover, I noticed other negative reviews echoing similar complaints about tardiness and lack of reliability, but I hoped that things would be different for me. Unfortunately, they were not. Listening to a male instructor talk about how much he hated Trump and politics was so negative. I was here to have fun. I am just a young person who would like to have a good positive experience outside of my life of schooling. Lastly, I felt misled at times. The owner often made promises regarding the quality of the lessons and the state of the facility that did not hold up during my visits. This inconsistency was disheartening and left me feeling as though I could not trust the information provided. In summary, I cannot recommend Pecks based on my experience. There are many other stables that prioritize both quality instruction and a well-maintained environment, and I urge anyone considering lessons to explore those options instead. Lessons should be a joyful and enriching experience, but my time at Pecks was, unfortunately, anything but that. Owner posted a comment that I came during her husband's death. That is not true he died long before my visits. Sadly she has to use his death as an excuse.

Tom cheats all the horses on hay. Very disgusting excuse for a human. The only arena is synthetic and not maintained properly because of ignorance therefore causing injuries to horses if you do more than a easy jog. They spray weed poison while it is close to a horse. LEAKING SEPTIC tank under the arena causes stinky bacteria ridden water to sit atop the arena surface. Very hazardous to your horse.... Owner keeps driving over it with a huge tractor.
