    Watching the sunset with Midnight

I had the best time with Tally! I booked a sunset private ride, which was amazing. I rode Midnight who was such a sweetheart and so fun to ride. The scenery was breathtaking and Tally was wonderful, her connection to her horses is something special. I highly recommend Connemara Ranch

Just absolutely beautiful, beyond words. The guides know horses like nobody's business and were so friendly and helpful. I'll be back!

Connemara Ranch is a VERY Special Place and should be highly respected. Talley is an amazing Person, Woman and Horse person. This is my Third Ranch I have found in Malibu and The Third time is the Charm. This is a very unique experience. Most Horseback Riding Places do not let you feed the horses carrots, or let you groom them, or even paint them. This is the most Magical and wonderful place in all of Malibu if not all of the West Coast. I highly recommend paying for any activities anything there. There is a lot to handle and she does it smoothly. They have Horse Therapy which is very special and you learn many Ground Work, Leadership and Personal Development Skills as well as She is a person of some of the most wisdom I have found. They also have a charity to help disadvantaged children. She also keeps her horses very well kept and groom and these are the nicest horses I have ever met, there is nothing like this experience. Just go and get there and enjoy the time you are lucky to receive at this Amazing Horse Farm.

Wonderful sunset ride with Tali and Kevin! They are both extremely knowledgeable and will make even beginners feel comfortable. Trails are basically private and the views are gorgeous. A great way to spend an evening! Highly recommend!

Talley is such a gem, and was very patient and kind to us - which was huge as we are newer riders.

From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm and welcoming. Our guide, Sienna, was incredibly thorough in walking us through the basics and made sure we felt comfortable before heading out. As total beginners, safety was my biggest concern; but she has such a steady, reassuring energy that we felt confident the entire ride. The trail itself was breathtaking. Rolling Malibu mountains, wide open skies, and those views that make you stop mid-sentence. Sienna even paused at the most scenic spots to help us take photos, which I really appreciated. The horses had different personalities, I got a very calm horse and my husband's horse kept stopping along the way to snack on the bushes :) It was funny but I'm glad Sienna chose an easier one for me. Overall the whole experience felt thoughtfully run from start to finish. Small tip: You'll lose cell reception on the drive in and out of the mountains, so make sure you have your next destination's address saved or mapped ahead of time. If you're considering trying horseback riding, especially for the first time, this is such a special place to do it. We're already planning our return!

The views were insane and we got a lot of great pictures of our group without needing to worry about having our phones out while trying to ride (we of course did have time to stop and take pictures at the big view point ). Overall this was a safe, relaxing, and fun experience from a place that clearly really cares about and knows its horses, which at the end of the day is the most important thing.

I came…read moreacross Patrick's info through a post on one of the local equestrian's FB pages earlier this year when I was looking for a horse to lease. I met with Patrick & Casey on my first visit. For starters, they were extremely knowledgeable about everything horse related. That aside, they were insanely warm and genuinely receptive. My 9 yo daughter started taking lessons with Casey and has learned so much. She's extremely patient but just thorough enough to keep my kid's attention. She knows her stuff, there's no question about that, and keeps her engaged while soaking it all in. Patrick is just as talented and has helped me get over a big hump which was my recently developed and thoroughly annoying fear I had after taking a pretty huge fall off a giant thoroughbred a few months prior. The experience had left the entire half of my body black and blue from impact (in addition to rolling 5 times like a lifeless rag doll..lol). My confidence had shriveled up into something unrecognizable. I had ridden horses my whole life starting when I was 8 and had always been pretty fearless. Needless to say, it was frustrating to say the least. I'm happy to say, he was triumphant at getting me through it! I was able to reach a mentally sound place by working seamlessly through it on one of their beautiful warmbloods, "Moose". By the end of my first lesson, I was confidently cantering again in stride with perfect leg yields. (Thank you Patrick!:) I seriously have nothing but great to say about these guys. As far as the facility goes, This place is sublime. It's so ridiculously peaceful and scenic here. It's truly amazing to see all the horses... just be...well horses, roaming naturally with the other horses in their specifically assigned pastures. The horses look genuinely happy and content. It never occurred to me that there was any other way to keep a horse other than being pent up in solitude in a compact X' by X' stall for most of the day. That is of course unless you have the fortunate enough to reside on a farm with lots of acres behind it to put them in. Which honestly, who around here really does? A+++ fyi- I find the negative 'review' that "Leah G." left, interestingly and hilariously ironic, especially since she literally refused to refund me the $350 dollars I paid her in advance for a package set of lessons right before she skipped town last July with absolutely no notice. I seriously considered filing a case with small claims, bc I'm a single mom and try hard to keep everything on a tight budget in order token our heads above water. I decided it wasn't worth the time and energy for the amount lost. It still stung and shocked me that someone would do that. So to see her on here attempting to give this place of all places, a bad name.. Clearly, by her own words she's incredibly unstable . Proceed with caution doing any kind of business with Leah Green. I mind as well have gotten 350 $1 bills and tossed them out my car window doing 80...would've at least got a little show in my rear view ...just saying

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had…read more My fiancée booked a Valentine Lovers Horseback Ride last year, and it was a mess from start to finish. This was shortly after the really terrible rains in Los Angeles, so the horses were absolutely disgusting, covered in crusty mud and dirt all over. I had dressed a little cute to take some nice photos during the ride, which I quickly realized was a horrible mistake because we were told that we had to brush the horses ourselves. Dirt and dust was flying everywhere and got all over my clothes. It took at least 20-30 minutes to complete, and it felt like we were paying THEM to clean THEIR horses. We had made it very clear that we were very inexperienced horseback riders since we had only ridden a horse one time in our lives. So we were just looking forward to a very slow, relaxing ride with some beautiful views. However, after about half an hour of a nice slow walk with the horses, our guide (Wyatt) told us that we had to make our horses start trotting. I said over and over that I did not feel comfortable doing that, and I would prefer to stay at a slow pace. However, he told me that we weren't leaving until I made my horse (Biscuit, who might I add is a retired racehorse with all sorts of trauma, I'm sure) trot. After feeling very uncomfortable and trapped since Wyatt was peer pressuring me to make the horse trot (and I didn't know how to get off my horse by myself), I felt like I had no choice. Within minutes of telling my horse to trot, he started going way too fast for me and I couldn't get him to slow down. As a result, he bucked me off and I slammed on the ground, seriously bruising my kneecap and giving me an awful headache because I hit my head on the ground after I landed on my knee. I was crying the entire time, but instead of Wyatt calling someone to grab Biscuit, he MADE me get back on the horse to go all the way back down the mountain. I was crying and begged him to just let me walk him back down, but he wouldn't allow it and said we weren't going anywhere until I complied. I was so shaken up and in so much pain by the time I got back down the mountain, that I was completely numb to the event. I am so thankful that I am someone who is in relatively good shape because if this had been a child or an elderly person, this could have been a fatal event. DO NOT GO HERE. It's probably fine if you are an experienced horseback rider, but if you are looking for an easy gentle ride, this is the worst option you could possibly choose. I think this is the only review I've ever left a 1 star for because of how dangerous this was. :(

My driver honked horn many times and finally someone came out and said they didn't have a reservation for me. They apologized and offered me a future bottle of wine if I came back. I don't drink. Property does not look like or behave like a professional business or ranch.
