If you want to learn to ride, improve your riding or need help training your horses properly, & your nervous as a new rider, the lesson horses there are safe & amazing, & Robert Nava is the guy!! Robert is an excellent horseman but is patient & kind with the lesson goers always pointing out the positive with "great job," or "looks great"! Always Important for confidence building! You learn more there than just riding, grooming, etc. You learn horsemanship! The stable is located on Stokes Canyon in beautiful Malibu!! It's so incredible there, with trails, right out the gate or just taking lessons in the large arena with Robert ~ I love that there is round pen too if needed. Everything you need is there depending on your goals. Western or English & or brand new to horses! Again, Robert is so the patient, so great with kids too! He teaches, safety, patience & confidence!! (I know I say that a lot, but important) ~ Located adjacent to Malibu Creek state park with miles of trails streams & sheer beauty around you! *Robert Nava is the resident horse trainer for Western or English, riders! He's an excellent horseman!!! I'd also like to say that the stables are run really efficiently everything's organized. Everything is clean. They're just all around great there!! After many years since my last horse & older now & not as strong as I used to be, its never to late to get started again & it's been so great taking riding from Robert ~ always learning new things too! Because there is always more to learn there. Whatever your needs, for what you want to do, and he's great how he gets get his students ready for horse shows, too, If that is what they love. He is there at the show with his students, so committed to their equestrian success! Robert is the best. I feel so lucky to have found this stable!! You learn so much more there!! I love everyone there! Robert has a lot of people that work under him. (honorable mention, Art & his nephew so great! So helpful!!) But everyone that works for Robert is so wonderful, no snobs there!! All so amazing & helpful! That is so important it's like a family!! So, again if your a parent looking for a great riding instructor for your kid & want them safe, or you personally really want a good western or English riding instructor or someone to help you train your horse, this is the place to go. One thing about Robert he's big on safety for all age riders. I love everyone there, and Robert is the best I've ever seen as a trainer for your lessons/horse training needs. Kind of a dream come true. Really good at nurturing the young riders ~ This is the right place for you!!! Check it out you won't be disappointed! All ages are welcome!! Thank you RJN Stables Robert & staff, for such a positive experience & helping me improve! I luv it there! Finally, I've been to a lot of stables in my life, and this is hand downs, the best and location, trainer situation and grounds! I want my husband to get lessons with Robert so that when we get our new horse, he can learn to ride better! I'm very happy there! The very best trainer & stables around!!! Yay!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff who made us feel welcome and at ease. The instructor, Laura, was knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to explain everything in detail and ensuring that my daughter feels comfortable before getting on the horse. The horses themselves were well-trained and gentle, making it easy for a beginner like my daughter to learn the basics of riding. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, with a spacious arena for practicing different exercises and techniques. Throughout the lessons in these past 6 months we have see the improvement and how she is gaining confidence with each ride. Laura provides helpful feedback and guidance, pushing Delilah to challenge herself and try new things. Overall, I highly recommend taking horseback riding lessons at this stable. I read a recent review left by someone claiming that the staff here are not kind or welcoming to minorities. This has never been the case for us as we are Mexican. So that statement is far from being true. I highly recommend this place to all who are looking to start horseback riding. My daughter is 14 and looks forward to her classes with Laura and her favorite horse, Skylar. Thank you so much! Best, Delilah's parents

This is a great riding center. Trainer Laura is amazing and she is so great with the students. She is patient and really teaches. All the school horses are are great and very well taken care of.. They teach/train all levels, from beginners to advanced. My daughter's riding has improved so much since starting here and she loves it. The pricing is very reasonable and I think you get so much more vs other riding schools/centers we've been too. All the staff is attentive and courteous. The barn area is always clean and organized. There are quite a few riding schools in the area and we checked them out. I am so happy we landed here. We love FFF!

We met our guide at a private lot with direct beach access. (No crossing freeways or long rides to the beach) Our guide Steve was friendly and we were given clear instruction before mounting the horses. My husband had never been on a horse before and he was nervous but afterward said he had a great time and felt confident on the horse as we rode. While we did not book a private ride, our group ended up only being our family of three and it was a truly gorgeous day and awesome experience. If we lived local I would do this all the time!

I brought a water bottle attached to a lanyard and both of these employees felt the need to judgmentally ask me if I "really needed that water bottle" and "are you sure that won't fall off?" Of course, the water bottle did fall off. When we got back, the man rudely and unnecessarily remarked "I told you it would fall off." I was paired with a terrible horse who did not follow any of my commands, constantly ate the vegetation, pinned his ears at and would try to bite the other horses for no reason, etc. I have some experience riding horses and I was doing my absolute best with this out-of-control horse. In turn, I was continually being barked at by the guides to "pull up on the reins and release, don't let him eat, kick him, go to the back, catch up to the rest of the group, keep him away from the other horses" etc. In addition, we rode through a very busy freeway overpass with multiple onramps/offramps and cars everywhere. We also passed right next to an active railroad. Of course, a train roared past a mere ten feet away from us. The horses spooked and it was a miracle that no one was thrown off. We were not given any prior warning that we would be riding in the middle of these very dangerous environments. If there was a warning in the waiver, I wouldn't have known because we were so rushed to sign it and had no time to read it. We finally made it to the actual beach and spent a mere 20 minutes on the shore before riding back through the danger zones towards home. I spent the entire ride pissed off, disappointed and feeling unsafe.
