I grew up owning horses and riding horses, but took a ten year hiatus while going to school and building a career. A decade later, I decided it was time to get back in the saddle. I found Kaitlin after trying out two other trainers in the area that just weren't the right fit for me. I came to her with lofty goals, not only to build up my confidence again, but also learn a new discipline. She was my trainer for two years, off and on as my schedule allowed, and she'd still be it, had I not had to move! She was so accepting of my goals as a re-rider, she built my confidence up and most of all she provided valuable insight into each lesson. Bareback, English, western, trails, you name it, we did it! She's a true horse gal and I loved my time riding with her. Her attentiveness to what each horse needed, likes/dislikes and quirks made me a better, more adaptive rider, in any circumstance. I loved her focus on form, and she was always great at getting videos for me to review after each lesson. She adjusts each session based on rider wants to work on and matches best horse to do so. I can't recommend her enough! 5 stars and more if I could!

What stood out most to me was how much Johnny truly cared about both the horses and their owners. He values open communication and encourages boarders to come to him with concerns so he can help work through situations and find solutions. When my horse and I were having trouble adjusting to pasture boarding, he was understanding and worked with us to find a setup that better suited my horse's needs. That level of care and flexibility meant a lot to me. It's rare to find a place where you feel genuinely supported, and I'm very grateful for the care and consideration we received here. I would absolutely recommend this ranch to anyone looking for a positive and caring boarding environment.

Coming back felt like coming home. During those six years, she learned tremendously and won numerous Horsemanship and Western Pleasure awards. Everything she knows today about horses was taught from the very beginning--starting with proper horse care, respect, and responsibility, all the way through riding skills and confidence in the saddle. Johnny and everyone at the ranch are incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive. They truly treat you like family, and from day one you feel at peace, surrounded by horses and amazing people. This is more than just a riding center it's a place full of heart, knowledge, and love for horses. I drive 2.5 hours to get here, and it is absolutely worth every mile. I highly recommend anyone considering riding or learning about horses to come here. You won't regret it. This has been an amazing place since day one.

We turned around as soon as the path started to look more rocky and marked with poop. I would have still kept going if I had time to explore and adventure. It's a different experience gazing at the valley views up ahead. The air is fresh and inviting. This was a beautiful spot to be amongst nature and it was a fascinating sight to see horse riders wearing their cowboy hats trotting along the path. The area seems to be used by locals and noticed the majority of the people were dominantly Spanish speaking. I would definitely come here again when better planned! There's also a nicely built straight walking/ running/ smooth pavement located near this park where I spotted a couple of runners and I wouldn't mind giving it a go! Telling by the pavement condition, it looked fairly new or perhaps it's not heavily used but it looked impressively clean. (This side of the valley does get hot so bring sun protection and water! )

The horse I rode jumped from my leg brushing his belly, so I had to float my legs off his body the entire time. I'm not sure he was well enough to ride that day if his belly was that tender. The other horses did not get along and fought while on the trail. This led to one horse spooking/attacking another and caused my friend to fall. She had difficulty walking, but was asked to get back on the horse despite laying on the floor in pain. After she couldn't get on, we thought the guide would call for help. But we found out later that the guide simply called her coworker and told them she'd be late for her next ride. Are you kidding me? Someone gets hurt and your first thought is your next paycheck? Our friend had to continue on foot since the guide told us we could not get off to help her. I don't think she would've made it all the way. We were lucky to run into fire authorities that gave her a ride. The authorities clarified they were NOT contacted by the guide and they were there for a separate event. We took our friend to the ER ourselves to get a spinal scan which thankfully turned out with bruising only. Afterwards, we were not offered a refund. We get it, horses have bad days and are unpredictable. But there is no excuse for having a guide that is so severely untrained and unempathetic. In a real emergency, you do not want to be caught in the middle of a nowhere with no signal and a "guide" that doesn't even know how to call for help or care about you. She just sounded like she wanted it over with. Really horrified and disappointed by the negligence here.
