I was in the hospital for five days, and had to find a safe haven for him in a hurry. I found La Tuna Stables and it's been so wonderful that I'm staying. It's so much more serene here. A wonderful retreat for horses and humans. There is a riding ring and lots of trails nearby to be enjoyed. The owner Sheila is very caring and completely took over care of my horse while I was recuperating, and still helps me a lot for a fee. My horse is very happy in his huge stall and another bonus is that we have a beautiful sunset every night! The way the property is located, lends it self to beautiful sunsets. I work full-time so it's nice to know that he is well taken care of and when I visit him, he seems content. I would highly recommend La Tuna stables for drama free people who want the best for their horse!!

Katelin is my first teacher and I got lucky to find her…read more I am terrified of riding but I love the beauty and sensitivity horses offer so I made it a goal to overcome my fear this year. I was looking for an instructor who is also sensitive to training me, a person who has never ever handled a horse or any equipment that has to do with horses. I've had many instructors in the past for other things I've tried, who are angry and use condescension in their instruction and this memory has held me back for a while in trying anything new. I took a leap of faith with Katelin and I am so happy I did. I hope this place will become a home where I can learn everything I possibly can - I've already fallen in love with my horse, Gene. :) Katelin is positive, encouraging, funny, and has an 'other worldly' vibe, a sixth sense, during the sessions. She is teaching me how to prepare the horse for riding which is really exciting and I did not expect doing this. I am grateful for this process as I feel I am learning to respect all aspect of horseback riding, the horses' well being, and the business. Thank you Katelin for being so patient with me.
