Her posture was getting bad and we decided to have her try riding. My older daughter rode with Sheri and Duncan years ago and I remember how great they were. I called and talked to Sheri, told her everything going on and she said she would love to start my granddaughter. We started with the summer camp and now do weekly lessons. We can't believe the improvement in attitude, posture, priority and confidence. It feels good to go back after so many years and find the same integrity, love and care, plus the greatest groom in Southern CA. The facility is wonderful and more important than anything, everyone is great, kids, parents, trainers and neighbors. My granddaughter misses Summer Camp and is excited for next year. She learned how to completely groom her horse, even clean up her tack. She met a new friend and they got to ride together today. All I can say is thank you Edmonton Farms, Sheri, Duncan, little Cleo and Rachel, Jorge and the best pony ever, Penny. They have wonderful horses to ride, all well trained with great ground manners. If the highest score I could give is a 10, they would still get 100 from me.

He teaches with enthusiasm and is so encouraging. Throughout her lesson I can hear him yelling,"Excellent!!" We have had trainers that yelled and screamed and made her cry. Here she is encouraged and consequently looks forward to her lesson. So much so that we drive all the way from South Orange County to train here. Additionally, the horses that he has for her to ride are amazing! They are expensive, premium horses. Some trainers have lesson horses that are ancient or of low quality. We highly recommend Edmonton Farms. They specialize in teaching to the level of their students whether you are a beginner or an advanced rider, they will form a program for you.

Cathy is an amazing trainer!!!…read more I have been training with Cathy for several months now and I love her technique and ability to train! She understands my level and finds ways that make it easy for me to learn. She will give you rules of the game while you are cooling down the horses, or tacking them up and just through normal conversation that I do not realize how much information I have actually obtained till I go home and start talking about Polo to my friends and realize I know more about it than I thought!! I came from a jumping barn where I owned a barn sour horse that was nothing but issues (Rearing, bolting, ect... her name was Lucy Lohan just because she was so crazy!) While most trainers believed that the only resolution to the problem was drugging, Cathy is more about fixing the problems with schooling and proper training! Although I have gotten rid of her, I am still a bit jaded from the experience, but Cathy is so patient that she teaches me techniques I can use for the next time I encounter those vices, and was not mad when I stated that I just wanted to start from the ground up again on my horsemanship! Her horses are also to die for!!! I have honestly never ridden a lesson horses that were so kind and gentle I would trust my non horse friends on them! They all have experience on the polo field, but you can tell they totally enjoy the beginner's lessons. The only vice I have seen with these horses is their addiction to carrots!

Jesus worked tirelessly to make my horse comfortable, and I really appreciate his most recent efforts. He installed rubber mat flooring and built containment boards for my stall so the shavings would stay put. Now I don't have to worry about my horse standing in mud when it rains. In addition, Lalo and Rafael, are super helpful and friendly, and are always willing to give any assistance I need. The ever vigilant Butch is a very knowledgeable steward of the herd he manages, and will be the first to notice if your horse is sick. The barn culture is very relaxed and positive and you will feel supported by all the other boarders there. It truly is a loving community of horse lovers. I'm currently working with trainer Sandra, who is skilled and kind. She is really helping my horse become calmer and better every day she works with him. What stood out most to me was how much Johnny truly cared about both the horses and their owners. He values open communication and encourages boarders to come to him with concerns so he can help work through situations and find solutions. When my horse and I were having trouble adjusting to pasture boarding, he was understanding and worked with us to find a setup that better suited my horse's needs. That level of care and flexibility meant a lot to me. It's rare to find a place where you feel genuinely supported, and I'm very grateful for the care and consideration we received here. I would absolutely recommend this ranch to anyone looking for a positive and caring boarding environment.

Johnny and everyone at the ranch are incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive. They truly treat you like family, and from day one you feel at peace, surrounded by horses and amazing people. This is more than just a riding center it's a place full of heart, knowledge, and love for horses. I drive 2.5 hours to get here, and it is absolutely worth every mile.
