While in route to Canton Ohio we decided to use the Google feature that allows us to search along our route. We were getting hungry and decided to check for the nearest White Castle. I love that Google will show you directly on the navigation map where they are in relationship to your drive AND their rating. While this location only rates 2.9 on yelp, Google reviewers have ranked it a solid 4.2. It was the highest rated location visible on navigation and we were over 20 miles away. We passed almost a dozen just to visit this particular one and THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! When you were raised loving White Castle double cheeseburgers and move to a place that has no locations within 5 hours of your home... it becomes an obsession to find a good location on a road trip and almost impossible to not stop and eat!!! It's my kryptonite! There is one downside to White Castle cravings - nothing is more disappoint that having a taste LOCKED into your brain since childhood and not have that expectation matched in reality. An itch that can't be scratched! Thankfully everything from the double cheeseburgers to the onion rings were every bit as satisfying as I could have possibly conjured in my mind! I was so giddy from delight that every customer around me began to share in my excitement and began conversation. It was a great time! I met three older couples and one family of four that all practically felt like friends by the time my meal was over. That's what a good meal can do! What I was most excited about were the CLAM STRIPS. I've never seen this on any White Castle menu but decided to try them and they were absolutely fantastic. The meat was tender and not chewy with a great tasting batter. I've been to several famous places in New England that didn't have clam strips remotely this tasty! Adding to my joy, when we got back in our car to continue our journey, an old school song was playing: SAFTEY DANCE. My wife and I are Gen X'ers, so we had fun driving off like we were the Roxbury Guys! Thank you to the staff of this White Castle for such an EXCELLENT meal. You are 5+ stars in my book! read more

1930's 100% BEEF!!! Looks like the building is original 1930's in and out but... let's take a look at what's really important here. Service and food quality/quantity. Both were top notch for a slammin' burger joint. Drive thru was consistently serving the entire time I was there. The staff was very friendly and prompt. That's a nice surprise as other places similar leave you order. Leave you pay. Then park you "around the street" and bring your food 20 minutes later. I'm leaving this review for the pure fact of hoping this chain survives and gets back in the conversation of top players in fast food. read more

My first time at this fast food , unique sliders (burger) place, it's a small restaurant, very clean and seems organized as well, service was quick, ( I guess has a long history and been here for many many years....) This was the worst food we have received at a White Castle! The eggs were overcooked, the fries were soggy and needed salt. The garlic cheese was gross. The cashier was trying to charge us again, even though we ordered and paid online. My husband loves White Castle and is an expert at their menu and even he was disappointed. This location was good in prior years, maybe the crew is in need of some training. Will skip this one for a while and give them time to sort it out. read more

This was not a good experience at all. I gave a 2 star review because the sandwiches are good. The girl at the register was very friendly. The kitchen staff clearly was not taught about sanitation. The girl with braids at the fry station was eating fries on the line. When when put new gloves on she was touching all over her clothes with them on. She than took her gloves off inside out and stood for a moment while she watched the guys at the grill. She than put the same gloves on and started to help put the sandwiches together. I informed the staff that if she made my sandwiches they could refund my money since that was disgusting. All the while there was a guy with curly hair and facial hair picking his fingers and nails over the grill and playing with his face. I did inform the manager that responded ok after rolling her eyes. They store was semi clean. It did look as if under the pop machine hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I wasn't impressed with this location. I had to wait 5 minutes just to get served as the staff was more interested in cooking and serving the drive thru. Ordered 10 sliders, two soft drinks, and two small fries for $12.99. The sliders had too much onion but tasted fresh. Fries were okay. The soft drink machine was one of those Coke FreeStyle machines which was pretty cool. The place is very old and rundown inside. Get your food to go. read more

Grading as fast food. Nostalgia. This is always a stop when visiting Columbus. I've yet to try the fish or chicken options. But the cris cut fries, the original sliders, and fountain soda always hits the same. The fact they sell these things in large quantity boxes is almost criminal! lol. I'd feel obligated to eat more. The calories and my doctor might argue with me. Always a good stop. Will be back on the next road trip. Cleveland figure it out and bring us a closer option. read more

I've eaten here 4Xs. Just was there yesterday. Drove down from Cleveland to get my fix. The fried clams were great ! The two double jalapenos cheeseburgers , Great! The two fish sandwiches - OK. Buns were a little stale. That's a 1st because I always get the fish & the buns were fine. Got 3 double cheeseburgers to go. Ate'em 2hrs later at home & they were good! 45 seconds in the microwave did the trick. The only problem with Castle is the occasional over cooker burgers. They sit on the grill till they sell from what I can tell. That makes for a dry tough burger. My previous trip got me inferior burgers. The were warm & the cheese didn't melt. So I was reluctant to go back for more. Get ya some oniony goodness at the Castle! & clams,fish,chix, or crinkle cut fries or more !!! The Smithereens were right, White Castle is Good! read more

As a girl who misses having White Castles in Northeast Ohio - stopping here on our last Columbus visit was a must. And it was great. White Castles have to really be bad to screw up these iconic little squares. We had several and some fries and it was a great meal. If you have never had a White Castle they are not like all he other burgers. They are thin squares like 2x2 of meat and they serve them with or without cheese and with tons of griddeled onions, a few pickles and are served on small square buns. I myself order mine plain just meat and cheese because I can't have the onions. I just love them. My whole family loves White Castle so we often try to remember to grab a case when we head home. So here's why I gave one star, first of all this not for the food it's the store and one staff member. I grew up in the Bx and WC is the best original slider ( as it's called now) except for the frozen. I've seen so many changes to the menu cool I get it. Anyway traveling from across the country wanted to introduce my daughter to my iconic WC experience (and again not the food) it started off good as I asked for a minute to overlook the drive-thru menu. Now there's breakfast and crab cakes WOW! I get it, times they are a changing. We order some breakfast sandwiches and me being me had to get my favs original with cheese, chicken and try one of the breakfast sandwiches. Pulled up to the window and the attitude began. Wtf a total 360 in her attitude. She was short and my wife and daughter clearly saw an attitude with her. Idk maybe she was pissed cause crew members were late or something else altogether. I've worked in the business for years All aspects of the business from prep to GM. I get the frustration of what happens BUT not an excuse to show on your sleeves. I was polite smiling and courteous . I say please and thank you in which I know A LOT of ppl don't say. Even with what has been happening and such. I've always been a big believer that you treat ppl how you want to be treated. And sometimes someone's positive energy can change a bad situation...and vise versus, after receiving my card back and saying thank you with not even a YW had to wait a minute to receive our order by another employee. I said thank you and have a good day, drove around to indulge in my WC and as we're going through the order my WC w cheese is missing. I look at my receipt Tony's sure if wasn't my mistake or maybe I didn't say it loud enough but it was on there I just didn't get it. By this time there was a line forming on the drive-thru so I grabbed my cane and walked to the store to inform them. All doors were locked don't look like they opened the dining room due to C19 no biggie just have to walk to the window and ask a customer if I can cut in before getting to the window. Got my burger but the whole experience messed my appetite up and I didn't enjoy my food. Bottom line I get that things happen that can piss you off and ppl think that all you do is take orders and cook food. I DON'T! I respect all aspects of the industry and encourage ppl to respect the crew making the food or taking the order that you don't feel like going home to try and create. Also situations that my cause coworkers to be late can make it extremely hard on one individual or a customer acting or being a AHOLE can change a person's demeanor. With that being said forgive me for not remembering this employee's name and I apologize for the morning you were going through this day and I get whatever it was that triggered your frustration. Just try to think that not all of us are the same and sometimes nice ppl come around to remind you that it's can get better and a smile can really change your attitude. I love these little burgers and they seem to be the same no matter which location you visit. My issue with this location is dining room cleanliness. I arrived before the dinner rush when it should have been spotless. With plenty of staff on hand, I found sticky floors, trash around the drink station, and dirty tables. The interior of the store was nice, and clean. I go here at least once a month and the drive thru is constantly slow, even when it's not busy. My worst experience was when I went there this past Saturday and I waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes for a number one and two sliders.
