    Cheeseburger & Onion Rings

Returned 9/1/2025. Very friendly staff. Very fast service. I actually like White Castle better than the larger Fast Food burger places. Ordered two cheeseburger and onion rings

I love White Castle!! My body does not tolerate red meat, but I can eat here without any tummy issues! We try to come one a week! We love the cheeseburger sliders and mozzarella sticks! So yummy and we always receive service with a smile. I love the app and the deals they are consistently offering! The restaurant is always clean!

Have to stop at a White Castle when you are in Chicago, and this was the nearest one. There was absolutly no cars in the parking lot, so I thought the location was closed but it was open (the employees must park somewhere else). When you enter, there is the menu located, but you must walk around the corner to actually order. We ordered a 10 pack of cheese sliders ($10), 3 chicken sliders ($2 a piece), and order of onion rings ($3). Really good onion rings (real sliced onion)...pretty sure prepared from frozen but miles better than the ones from BK. The chicken sliders are the same size bun as sliders, so they are small...same price as McChicken but probably half the size. And the sliders were what we expected...barely can taste the meat, but that's not the point...the meat, onion, pickles, cheese, and steamed bread just melds into one food unit, giving it a taste that can't be duplicated. All of us had eaten lunch about 3 hours before, so none of us were really hungry... but the 5 of us were still able to devour all that was mentioned above. They have a Coke free style machine, and will give you water cups if asked nicely. They also have gender-neutral private bathrooms and plenty of seating space. Keep on rockin, White Castle!

I hadn't been to White Castle in nearly 20yrs, so I went for a throwback; I remembered why I don't go there. Their sliders are greasy and flavorless, even the sautéed onions; the toppings are scant--one pickle slice per burger. I did like the fries though, so there's that. ‍ I don't need to go back.

The roommate's been wanting to try White Castle for some time. But for some reason or another, he kept missing his opportunity. (I've had White Castle before.) Finally on Tuesday, December 5th around 5pm, we stopped by this location. *THE ORIGINAL SLIDER: 2x2" 100% beef patty steam-grilled on a bed of onions with a slice of pickle and served on signature bun ($0.77) *JALAPEÑO CHEESE SLIDER: 100% beef patty steam-grilled on a bed of onions topped with a slice of spicy Jalapeño cheese ($0.95) x3 *BACON CHEESE SLIDER: 100% beef patty steam-grilled on a bed of onions, topped with crispy hickory-smoked bacon and a slice of American cheese ($1.45) x2 *CHICKEN BREAST SLIDER: lightly breaded, crispy Chicken Breast made with all white meat and topped with a slice of American cheese ($1.79) *FISH SLIDER: lightly breaded, sailor-approved Alaska Pollock, served with a slice of cheese between two fluffy buns ($1.69) *CHEESE FRIES: with cheese sauce ($2.19) We were having dinner later, so I guess this was kind of like a pre-dinner snack? I'm not big on sliders as they are mostly bread and not much meat, but White Castle does the ratio pretty well. It's just not my type of burger. The roommate found them pretty lackluster. Glad he could say he tried it, but not in a hurry to go back. The fam in Chicago kept saying White Castle is good drunk food. I can see that. Good for sopping up all the alcohol.

I came in to dine in for a bit and try the food. The restaurant itself smells like vomit and it was very dirty. But I'm kinda used to that because that's how it is at most fast food places. Service was fast and efficient. I tried the Loaded Fries. They're basically fries with cheese sauce, bacon and what appears to be ranch (I could be wrong). But it was so good! I was kinda sad it didn't have very many fries. so I got a second helping Then I took some other food to go so I can try it. Recommend White Castle but I'd say go to the drive thru.

We ordered mild because my husband doesn't like things too spicy (I love spicy foods) it came with a sauce we picked the buffalo sauce. When we got our order the tenders were definitely not mild.... I only caught it because the total went from $14.99 to $19.99 and when I checked there was a $2 tip. So I removed it. They don't even bring your food to the table. The first is the chicken sandwiches were both inedible because the chicken breast pieces were hard and undercooked. We ended up replacing the the tenders in the sandwiches and throwing out the chicken. Second the Mac and cheese tasted great a few weeks ago but today the sauce / flavor to macaroni ratio was way too high making the Mac and cheese also inedible. They really need quality control to prevent jn the future. I would have rated 1 star but I know they can do better so hoping they use this review to improve their chicken sandwiches and Mac and cheese. Will be getting only the tenders in the future.

The food definitely stands out in terms of quality. It is most comparable to places like Canes , with the chicken/fries/toast combo. However they excel in comparison with their dirty sodas and other food offerings. The fries, cheese curds and Texas toast are all delicious snack options. Everything comes out hot and cooked to order. The portions are a good size and it all tastes fresh. The dirty sodas were a fun thing to try out. During my visits, I tried the "Toasty Marshmallow" (Mr Pibb) and the "Float On" (Barqs) . Both are sweet combinations and are fun treats. There's a lot here that makes them stand out from most fast-casual places and overall provide a quality dining experience.

Shops that offer chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, fries, and similar options have become very commonplace in this area of the Chicago suburbs. Even without considering the quality of food, there's a few features that make this a hit for me. The dining room is fun, yet appropriate. The value here is great both in terms of quantity of food, and overall pricing. The ice cream that changes monthly provides a fun way to customize a periodic visit. While I'm not crazy about the texture and flavor of it, it's still an enjoyable dessert -- particularly on a warm day. The sides such as fried cheese curds and spicy fries are different. The dirty soda options also provide a ton of possibilities for social media posts and different flavor options on each visit. Service is not too slow for how busy the restaurant is, and parking isn't too difficult. The food is very good here, both in terms of flavor and texture -- and generously portioned as well. The tenders rival the best versions I've had from other dedicated chicken restaurants. Crispy with tender chicken that stands well on its own without sauces, but at the same time has a heightened experience with the quality sauces, which each have a distinct flavor profile. I also enjoyed the cole slaw and texas toast considerably, and especially the fries which were crisp and matched very well with the sauces. The same level of food quality is also present in their sandwiches and wraps, which mix the same quality components together for a delicious product.

When we got there it was like going back in time, a huge old school diner. It's definitely worth taking visitors too. It's known for its hotdogs but has branched out to a wide variety of sandwiches made in a Chicago style. I had a sausage dog smothered in sautéed onions and mustard and my friend had a hotdog sans the onion. I have never seen a hotdog with a tomato in it! Our sandwiches were delicious. I also ordered a small fry to share but after the flavor fullness of my polish sausage the fries just didn't compare. I also ordered their world famous chocolate cake. It's true, it says so on the menu. I was so full from my sandwich I couldn't touch the cake at the restaurant, I just tried it now to finish my review and it's on point! It tastes different than regular chocolate cakes, I can't pin down the difference though. I will say it's just the right amount of sweetness, not overly so but the flavor of the cake is wow! Definitely a winner!

It was empty when it arrived, but filled up on our way out, telling me it's a popular place for the younger crowd. Either way, you know you're in for a good meal when you see the huge doner rotisserie spinning. The owner (at least I'm pretty sure he was the owner) helpfully walked us through their sauce selection and even offered my MIL some sauce samples. She ended up getting the hot dog with veggies, while my wife and I got sandwich combos (17 for the sandwich + 3.50 for fries and a drink). I was going to share my combo with my preschooler since they don't have a kids meal, but the owner thoughtfully offered some fries with chicken for him. We definitely had to tip well for such nice service. So this is no ordinary sandwich, and the pictures don't do it justice. In pics it looks kind of like a pita pocket, but this thing has some HEFT. Filled with veggies, meat, and sauce, it got a little messy but was really tasty. The veggies were fresh, and it's hard to top meat sliced right off the log. My MIL said her unique hot dog was good as well. To me it looked like a Chicago dog from another dimension, but I also want to give it a try next time. Protip: Ask for your sauces on the side. They're almost too generous with it on the sandwich so it's nice to have a little more control with it. This will definitely enter the rotation and will be letting our friends know as well. The bread is a large and rustic pita pocket. The beef is great, slices off the spit. And the load of veggies with sauce round out the sandwich. The veggies (called salad in the menu) consist of lettuce, cabbage, onion, tomato, and cucumber. You can choose between beef, chicken, or both. And the sauces consist of garlic, herb, or spicy. The counter service is fine... they make everything to order, so it does take a bit of time and it can be a little bit of a wait with orders ahead of you. The place is a typical strip mall fast food place with a handful of tables and some black and white pictures on the wall. Not fancy or crazy, but clean and inviting.
