The double cheeseburger slider had me saying 'holy fuck' out loud, breakfast sandwiches slapped, and the hash browns beat Chick-fil-A's. Coming out of the hospital after me getting surgery we stopped at White Castle because we were starving. Kind of what's wishing I guess now that we went somewhere else the sliders were overcooked. The rose were nasty. The fries were overcooked. Crispy burnt Wife likes them that way. I do not no salt at all at I got the new chicken festival sliders spicy chicken with burnt tasted gross. Stopped by White Castle about a month ago ..ordered 10 cheeseburger combo and 2 fish sandwiches ....I got home and when I got the cheeseburgers out the boxes were FULL of onions on top of them it was NASTY..Did Not recieve my Fish sandwiches.... This location is really solid in comparison to some other White Castle's I've visited. The inside was clean, the drive thru moved quickly & all of the employees I spoke to were friendly. My food was made fast & it was definitely fresh. The sliders came out hot & the fries had a good crunch to them. It's good to know nothing seemed to be sitting around under heat lamps. In reality, it's a commercialized franchise that uses up to much cardboard and materials to provide their tiny meat burgers. Are they good? White Castle is kind of an anomaly for me since there are not any in the Pittsburgh area. I had the four slider meal, which was four sliders, fries, and a drink for $7. I love the smell of grilled onions going into White Castle. The little burgers are really good, but they are not very filling. A grown man should not have any trouble putting down five or six. July 2020 was the first time this Sweet Georgia Peach ever had a White Castle burger. Now it is very similar to Kyrstal's in GA. Yet it was some how better. The workers were nice and patient with me because I don't eat at Krystal's that often so I wasn't sure what to order. I opted for a 10 or maybe 12 of the small burgers. However if I did to decide to dine in I would personally opt to take my food to go.The dining room was filthy from table tops having crumbs to the entire floor having all kinds of dirt tracks and debris on the floor. Aghhh White Castle is like the in and out on east coast to me. This location is one of the best I've ever been to. The staff here where so friendly and so nice and the location was so clean. You think fast food you think meh it's ok and yeah fast food is not for everyone and I'm one of those people who don't eat it that much. But when I see a White Castle I'm normally down to stop regardless of how full I am. There's sadly not a White Castle close to me but if I would make a road trip to go to one it with out a doubt be this one being of just how wonderful the experience was overall. The food was hot and neat and tasteful. And you can't beat the prices by a long shot for how much food you get. White Castle = Over-Hyped I know better too since this isn't my first time to have White Castle. About 10 years ago when I was in Ohio, I was told that they had the best sliders. I tried it and was extremely disappointed. Fast forward to now and I got the same experience. Service is great, but the sliders are just junk. First of all, very little meat. Second, no taste except the overpowering pickle. Third, soggy like it was cooked in the microwave. Lastly, really not fresh. Over in the West Coast, people talk about how they miss White Castle. I'm still trying to figure out what they miss. If it's the great service, then I get it. If it's the price, yes it's cheap. I'm just confused. Freeway convenient for a quick morning meal on the way out of town. The service was slow with the staff concentrating on the drive-thru and not acknowledging the restaurant customers. We finally decided to just order on the app rather than wait for someone to take our order. Just as well that we did, since there were breakfast offers available online that weren't advertised in the store. The jalapeño cheese paired nicely with the waffle for a "sweet and spicy" breakfast sandwich. The regular size hash browns are plenty for sharing. If you're planning on stopping at this location on your way to work and having breakfast, GOOD LUCK. Every time I get there. The drive through window has a sign on it asking for one Dollar bills, OR if you're real lucky their system is down and won't take debit cards, Or someone orders a crave case and their not ready to handle the order, causing everyone in line to be late for work . I've been coming to this particular White Castle off and on for 15 years for their coffee and breakfast. I'm always blown away by the above average service; it's heads and shoulders better than any fast food establishment including Starbucks. These ladies are so genuinely sweet and accommodating. The latest example is this morning. I have been trying to drink more decaf coffee lately and Starbucks (my favorite coffee place) always seems so put out that they have to do a pour over. I don't get to go to White Castles that often. I never get to go to this location even though its close to my work, it's hard to get to during the lunch rush traffic. So on 5/14 I had a chance to visit and enjoy some sliders and a quite lunch before work. Score! However, apparently the owners or CEOs were visiting that day and the kitchen seemed chaotic. Also when I first walk in I was the only one in the dinning room. Great! A chance to eat and read in peace. Then the place became crowded with really chatty regulars, which served to distract the staff even further. My 2 out of 3 of my burgers had their buns crooked, which seems odd for a food that is so uniformly served. They also seemed dry, as in lacking of grease. I'm at White Castle. I want a little grease to help this burgers slide down my throat. The onion chips tasted watery, like biting into a mouthful of washed onion instead of crispy fried goodness. I had to ask for a cup for my meal and then sauce because the counter service person just had to keep paying attention to the chatty regular. I felt like I had to interrupt their conversation just to get my food. OK I'm not a regular. I don't talk off your ear about how I've been eating White Castles for 50 years or how I cry every time the OSU Buckeyes lose a football game. I just want some greasy burgers and soda and I'll be out of your hair. Impression: Regulars and favorites get special treatment while other paying customer are ignored. When I learned there was a White Castle close by where I was visiting, I was super excited. Well I ordered my burgers and immediately I noticed this was NOT the White Castle that I am familiar with in NY & NJ. The menu was different. Instead of onion rings, they had onion chips/pieces. Then when I bit into my burger the classic White Castle taste was nowhere to be found. They used these long onions on the burgers. Why would they do that?!?! I thought all chain restaurants used the same ingredients. In NY & NJ and Detroit.....all the onions are small little onions cut into tiny squares that really make the sandwich taste great. Needless to say I had to throw all the burgers away- they were not tasty at all. I won't be back. I thought the whole point for a chain restaurant is to get what is typical of that chain no matter where it is (no deviation). Oh well....lesson learned. I will wait until I'm in NY or NJ to get my White Caste fix. read more
