Look, let's be honest, you don't expect food from White Castle to be what you would get from a Michelin star restaurant, but I have been going to WC since I was a kid and loved the very tasty...well, let's call it minimalist food and that continued into my adulthood up until now. So I do know quite intimately what their sliders are supposed to taste like -- I've been eating them on and off, like, forever. There are only 5 ingredients: chopped onions -- a rather smallish bun, enough to spread around the bun evenly, a good dollup of ketchup, three pickles and a few molecules of meat. There isn't much you can mess up. Meet and the onion steam-cooked/grilled on a grill using water, put that on the bun, add a nice squirt of ketchup and the three pickles and you've got a slider that at most, is devoured in four bites. Simple, honest and, I am not sure why, but it tastes luckin DELICIOUS. Always has since I was 14 yrs old and that's a LONG time ago. What I am saying now ONLY is referencing the DELIVERY service of this establishment -- no idea if the food is better when it's prepared at the restaurant itself, but the delivery only gets 2 stars from a VERY unhappy, hungry customer. The food delivery BOTH times i've ordered from this place came with the sliders barely warm and what's worse, they didn't taste the same as I know they are supposed to taste with their magical deliciousness. Wondering what could they have done to these burgers, I opened one up and there it was, NO KETCHUP...or to be fair, so little ketchup at the corner of one bun that they may as well not have bothered. Then comes the pickles...er, THE pickle. Only one where there always use to be three. Come on guys, I am sure the franchise has a very strict formula on how these sliders are supposed to be made, and I guarantee, this ISN't the way. I would still order from them if they just put the right amount of ingredients on their burgers. read more

I get that finding quality help in the COVID world is challenging, but my experience here on an early Sunday afternoon was terrible. First when I pulled up to the drive through I waited for a couple of minutes (not an exaggeration) before my order was taken. A voice came over after maybe 30 seconds or saying my order would be taken shortly. After ordering there was no read back of the order for accuracy, the screen at the order microphone was broken and didn't show the order, I wasn't given a total, or told which window to drive up to. None of this was great, but once I was at the window - as it turns out it was the second window that I was supposed to drive up to which I found out when I briefly waited at the first window and no one showed. Having said all of that, the worst was yet to come as I waited, and waited, and waited, and waited (12+ minutes) until our order was finally ready. This was not total time from order to driving off with our food, but just the time I waited at the window for my order. The order was relatively simple - a #1 and another sandwich and fries. Perhaps they were having a bad day, but the lady that took my order seemed EXTREMELY overwhelmed and couldn't handle anything close to multitasking. The 2 stars were earned because despite the long wait, they got my order exactly right. That was really the only positive from my stop there. read more

Decided to order via UberEats and specifically said "No Cheese" on special instructions. When the impossible sliders that I ordered came, all of them had cheese. I called this location and explained the situation and the manager's solution is for me to physically go to their location to pick up new ones that they are gonna make. This defeats the purpose of me paying the fee for delivery. If I could have stopped by their store, I wouldn't have ordered via UberEats in the first place. I am in here today for a late breakfast. Apparently, they now serve breakfast all day. I ordered the bacon egg and cheese waffle slider combo which cones with a small coffee and an order of hash browns. It took about 7 minutes to get my food. I thought the waffle slider would be a bit bigger. The mini hash brown discs were crispy on the outside soft on the inside. read more

I've been coming here since the 80's when they handed out cards with numbers after you ordered. (Does anyone remember the facially disfigured guy who would suddenly appear at your car, asking for money?). Not much has changed, except the menu has expanded, and they now call a White Castle a "slider." Seems like the majority of complaints involve UBER eats. When you order through these third-parties, you're taking a gamble. White Castle is what it is: You spend time waiting on line, as well as equal time on the toilet. read more

The food here is what you expect - which would give it a 3 star rating. What does give it the extra star is that it is in a "safe part" of the ghetto. This results in good stories. My first ever time eating a White Castle was at this one. Of course, my journey resulted in disappointment because of the excess hype from Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. I was horribly disappointed until I went to the bathroom. There was a line forming and I was second. The man in front of me opened the door. No words can explain the debt of how I feel writing this. I am very disappointed for this horrific customer service that this so called fast-food restaurant gives. I decided to order via the uber eats app and I never recieved my fucking order. I ca their food that plled the delivery person but he never picked up his phone, which made me more furious. Then I decided to call this location to help and no-one picked up the phone. Very unprofessional, very disappointed and hungry and mad all at the same time. Anyone would upset if they never ever recieved payed so much for. This is very humane and stupid. THIS IS NOT HOW YOPU BARE SUPPOSED TO TREAT A CUSTOMER LET AKNOW A HUMAN. This place is very slow! Sometimes I wait for 15-20 minutes at the drive thru. Ridiculous. Also, service can be better. Staff seem unhappy there. The food from here is standard though; just be prepared to wait. I purposely avoid this location and go to the one a few minutes away on Pennsylvania Ave. where they are a bit quicker and have nicer staff. read more

I remember when these mini burgers were 42 cents and cheese would cost 52 cents! Ah, the yester-years when you could also eat endless WC burgers without any reprisals! Well, every once in a blue moon, I would get a craving for a cheese slider and WC is the go-to spot. The jalapeno sliders were good and the fries crispy. Everything they way you'd want it to taste if you're feeling nostalgic. It's sad that a few locations have closed their doors in Brooklyn and Queens but I will travel should the craving ever hit before I dare eat a frozen version from the supermarkets. read more

The place looks like it's still being renovated in some areas, but overall it's a cool little spot. The Q24 leaves you right across the street which is very convenient. The girl at the counter was friendly, and the service was quick. I especially liked the White Castle survey they had on the receipt which gave you free burgers just by filling it out! read more

I stopped by WC on Sunday to kill time while I waited on my mechanic. I ordered a fish sandwich & cheeseburger and it was yummy. This was the best fish sandwich I ever had from WC. I come in usually the same time around 5:30 a.m. which I did today and it's always the same thing theyre never courteous. I'm greeted with an attitude as if they don't want to be there and it is a inconvenience or nuisance to patronize this establishment.
