Fresh brewed Ethiopian coffee. Coffee was bold and a bit bitter for my liking. Finish had fruity / flowery notes. This would be perfect for many but my next visit will try something different. Wanted to start first visit with a plain black fresh brewed cup. Cashiers were pleasant and are is clean and well lit. Multiple seating options. Comfortable. White Box Roastery was 9 s/10 for me. Immaculate study vibes, delicious iced coffee, and a spacious interior with lots of seating. My only qualm are that they close kinda early, it's a bit $$$ and it's too far from my house . They also have some unique flavored lattes that tasted pretty darn good. ------------ I got the iced white apricot latte and it was a delicious 9/10. It was a bit sweet, but was nice as an every once in a while kind of treat. I've been really into more fruit flavors recently and this really hit the spot. The iced Cinnamon Honey Oat Latte is delicious and my husband said his flat white was very tasty as well. The pastries on Saturdays are flaky and decadent and really hit the spot. The staff was friendly, fast and attentive. I usually drink black coffee and the price is a little high but this is my new "go-to" when I feel like indulging in a yummy treat. Also, we love the building where the coffee shop is housed (The Cotton Mill). Such an amazing space with so much character and charm. The coffee was really good. I had a maple latte and it was not too sweet. You could really taste the espresso which I like. I will say the actual coffee shop itself was extremely dirty and loud. The kids area is very small and does not look well taken care of. I would say a good place to grab coffee and go but would not suggest it a place to hang out. read more

A beautiful coffee shop with delicious coffee. We ordered a iced white apricot latte and a iced vanilla bean latte. Both had great flavor, especially the vanilla bean latte which has real vanilla bean. They also offer several pastries that they source from local bakeries. Barista was very helpful with her recommendations. 6 two-top tables, 12 bar chairs, and a cozy living room style area with a couch and 5 chairs. Would be a great place to park for the day and get work done. Was pretty empty for a Saturday afternoon (good for us)! read more

Salted Carmel coconut 5/10 ------very faint salted Carmel taste (light coffee) not overly sweet. coconut flavor is good. Strawberry matcha 3/10----strawberry puree with matcha. They use water from their sink (tap water) this was very unexpected. Nice ambiance however to call a place 'white box' whilst having minimal boxy designs isnt expected. The service was alright. One worker behind the counter another one came in when the line got long. Overall, Would not come here again. read more

2 words. Apricot Latte. Sounds crazy, I know. But, they managed to perfect this in a way that keeps you coming back for more. Also, make sure to get the house milk. The place is spacious with ample opportunity for meeting a friend or getting your study on. The baristas are super sweet and have always had a positive demeanor whenever I've stopped by. read more

This used to be one of our favorite coffee shops. Loved that I could drink my coffee while my children could play in the play area. We were recently there with some friends and our children were happily playing in the kids area while we talked and enjoyed our coffee and pastries when the building manager approached us and demanded that we leave immediately. When I asked why we were being asked to leave I was not given any reason. For a place that advertises being family friendly and has a play space, they certainly did not welcome our children playing in the designated play area and we will not recommend to other families or be visiting again. I was never spoken to by a staff member until I was escorted out. I was actively involved and parenting my children who were being playful and happy. My recommendation would be that White Box Roastery removes their play area since their philosophy is toddlers are to be seen and not heard. I tried to call and reach out to management to discuss our removal from the premises and never received any call back. read more

I walked in to this establishment and was immediately greeted by the kind and helpful staff. She was very attentive and communicative. The vibes of this place were very calm and quiet. It seems like a great place to work in. The matcha latte that I got was a seasonal item. It was the peaches and cream matcha latte. It was just the right of sweet and milky. It was delicious. The chocolate croissant that I got was just the right amount of crunch, smooth and chocolatey. I certainly plan on coming back to this place. read more

Farther out than our usual cafés, White Box is in an interesting spot in an old complex now repurposed to various art galleries and studios. For that reason, it's really dusty and I couldn't go a minute without sneezing. The café itself is very spacious and aesthetic- the barista was incredibly nice. We ordered 2 old fashioned lattes, but both leaned bland with very little hints of the advertised flavors (orange, brown sugar). Essentially a plain iced latte. There's plenty of flies, but avoiding a window seat should remedy that. The ambiance is alright, but don't suppose the drinks are worth the allergens and price. read more

I unfortunately only tried a coffee, but that is kind of key for a coffee shop and definitely delivered. My friends had some of the fancier drinks and food and everyone was very pleased. Very good, nice friendly service. Great ambiance! Interior is able to mix a luxurious fancy feel with a welcoming comfortable feel. Bathrooms were so nice, even those who didn't need to use them wanted to check them out. Only negative is the visibility of the location. If you didn't know it's there you'd miss it. Hidden gem kind of thing. You should find it and know so you can go often. Thanks for having our motorcycle group last Sunday! read more

Waited over 20 minutes for an $8 almond milk latte (the cheapest to go size). Not a single person entered the shop after I ordered, and there were only three people sitting down who already had their drinks. I finally asked where my drink was and the THREE women standing behind the counter talking had absolutely no memory of my order. They were extremely flippant towards me when I had to ask for my order. When I finally got my latte it was lukewarm and had no foam. Excellent service. Wonderful coffee. Not a huge overwhelming selection just good coffee and minimal choices which for me is nothing. I just get coffee. The place itself is nice. Quiet! You can actually converse with someone and not have to shout over the noise and music although today I did notice the music more than last time but not to the point of annoying. Oh and she even has a children's corner set up with books and a little table. Very thoughtful. The young lady who runs the place is super friendly and very kind. Knows her coffee(s) without a doubt. Second visit for us and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Plus it's located in the historic cotton mill which is worth a look see if you are interested in our local history! Fingers crossed she'll start carrying plain croissants more often! And chocolate something's like a brownie. Anyway highly recommend a visit like I said check out the old mill while your there and have a moment. read more

Great unique coffee shop...they had normal options for mochas/Latte's and few specialty selection. I had iced mocha which came out as expected. I also tried their croissant plain and topped with sugar. Both were on point. Ambiance was excellent...service and employee was outstanding. Place was kept up to date. The Best coffee I have ever had in my life!!!!! White chocolate apricot iced latte was my absolute favorite but the pumpkin and caramel apple came close! It's all in there house milk. It's like nothing I have ever tried! I live In California and I was just visiting mckinney! I'm so bummed. I'm having withdrawls!!!! It's so cute in there too! They have these yummy egg bites that you can tell are fresh and have some potato and chives in them and they are so good. He says they always have my order ready.
