I have nothing but good things to say about the team at Whitby Audio Video. My father bought an entire Paradigm 5.1 set approximately 10 years ago from these guys and I've made my decision to purchase my 5.1 set of the Monitor Audio brand with them as well. I'm not too knowledgeable with electronics, speakers, setups or anything of that sort and Scott was the gentleman who helped me out a great deal. We narrowed down the multiple selections of speakers, subwoofers and receivers to suit my budget and when it came to any demonstrations, Whitby Audio Video was not shy of showing me the true quality of sound of the speakers I was interested in. I shopped other outlets while some prices were less, some were also more but in terms of knowledge, the team here really stands out. One thing I was very happy with was their honesty considering where my speakers were going to be placed and the effects of sound in my living space compared to the demo room in the basement. I have an entire open concept main floor and I was advised that comparisons cannot be made even through the demonstrations, simply because of my surroundings and I really liked that. The entire process was quite enjoyable and Scott really made this all happen for me with my first purchase on surround sound. Whether you want to spend $100,000 or $100, they can work out many different alternative to try best suit your needs. I've done business with this retailer for as many years as I can remember them at their location. Products I've purchased were always the latest in technology and of high quality. They just installed my home theatre setup at my new home and I'm impressed with the quality of the goods and level of the service. Their installer was punctual, courteous and actually went above and beyond with respect to my requirements for installation. In addition to some components that were transferred from my previous residence, the new components that were recommend are excellent quality and incidentally, Canadian-made. When settling the account, there were no surprises deviations or additions to the original quoted price. I would absolutely recommend this business for anyone looking at quality service and product. We just renovated our house, and decided to add a sound system throughout. We purchased the Sonos system along with some TVs and other equipment. The system is amazing and the supplier and the installers were absolutely fantastic! We called for some help as a follow up to the system set up, and while they advised it was probably a Bell issue, they sent an installer out to help us. Turns out it was Bell, but they still managed to fix it for us. We also asked them to come out as a follow up for changing the swivel bracket on our TV and sound bar system. The installers (thanks Elton and Karim) were prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond in helping with another TV set up - with no charges for the follow up support service. I just bought my second sound system from here and the experience was as amazing and professional as the first! Michael who runs the store is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and had no problem coming to my house free of charge to help me design the system. The guys that came to do the installation, Elton and Kareem, did excellent work and were fast and very kind. They did a marvelous job and I am very pleased with my new system!!
