One can shoot from .5 yards to 25 yards and anywhere in between. The shop itself is very well stocked, with a focus on popular brands like Sig Sauer, Glock and Staccato to name a few. They also have an excellent selection of both pistols and rifles available to rent, including fully automatic rifles (always with close supervision by the staff). The staff itself is pretty constantly in flux, with people working to gain experience in firearms and then moving on to higher paying jobs. For quite a few young people it's a springboard to a job in law enforcement. The really cool part is how thats managed by the owners and their awesome senior staff at management positions in the store. New hires are always a certain type of person, management seeks candidates who have good people skills, are personable , knowledgeable about firearms and firearms safety, and are overall friendly hardworking folks. I've bought several pistols from them, and every transaction has been smooth and simple. The members are also widely diverse and friendly, it's not at all unusual to ask others if they'd care to shoot another member's new gun. People get along. It's kind of ironic though because you have a range full of very diverse people who are all shooting guns, and yet it's peaceful, everybody treats everyone else with respect. When I bought my first pistol there, I had no real idea what I was doing. Several staff members and a few members that I became friends with, essentially taught me how to shoot. I highly recommend this range. Did I mention that members shoot as often as they like and all rentals are free although you must pay for the ammo. This includes full auto firearms every Wednesday

Despite submitting the cancellation, I never received a confirmation email. I have since called the storefront and sent direct emails to the manager to resolve the issue and process my refund, but I am being completely ignored. It has been several days with zero response. At this point, the business is holding my money for an order I never picked up and explicitly canceled. I am highly disappointed with the complete lack of customer service and communication. I will be forced to dispute this charge with my bank if management does not respond and issue my refund immediately.

Their rep hit me up right away here on Yelp, and I made the drive a few days later to look into a Cerakote finish for my latest handgun conquest. Pricey for sure but my word does it look like a brand new firearm. I'm taking my wife's P22 there soon to get some fun color but the regular gunmetal finish I got for this Colt really is impressive. Cool little shop too, and I tbh I did enjoy some of the responses from the owner to a handful of digs on this platform too haha. More SBO should be this genuinely engaged. If you are a person who wants a place to do more advanced practice in any shooting sports discipline this is the place to go. They have several rifle ranges from 50-1000 yards. They have a skeet and trap range and a 5 stand coming soon. They have pistol bays for individual and small group practice. A full membership gets you all of this and is a great value. No where else in the area offer this variety at such a great price and I go 1-2 times a week. The employees and RSOs are super friendly and helpful as well. If you want a place to go beyond standing on a line and static shooting this is the best around. They also have some competitions but another nearby range has a lot more especially in pistol disciplines. I would love to see some M1 Garand and military rifle competitions here. It's well set up for that.

That said, I think XCAL has the nicer overall range setup and facilities. One issue I had at Silver Eagle Group was that the shell casings from the shooter in the lane next to me kept flying over and landing in my lane, which got a little annoying after a while. Overall, though, the staff were great and the shorter wait time is definitely a big plus.

Five Stars for Jordan at Shenandoah Sporting Goods!…read more I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Shenandoah Sporting Goods thanks to Jordan, who helped me set up and tune my brand-new Hoyt RX 10. And get this--mine was the very first RX 10 they sold! That made the experience even more special, and Jordan handled the flagship bow setup like a true professional. The setup process was detailed and meticulous, especially since I was keen on utilizing the new Hoyt XTS tuning system right away. I know I can be a bit particular when it comes to getting a bow dialed in, but Jordan was incredibly friendly and patient throughout the entire process. They walked me through every adjustment, explaining the nuances of the XTS system without ever making me feel rushed. Jordan's expertise and commitment to making sure the bow was perfectly tailored to me were truly outstanding. It's rare to find that level of dedication and customer service. If you are looking to purchase a new Hoyt, especially the RX 10, ask for Jordan--you won't find better service or a more knowledgeable tuner. My new RX 10 is shooting flawlessly, and it's all thanks to them!

Every time I have come here it, each visit would get slightly more aggravating. Their public hours are lacking, however at least they open at 9AM on the weekends. The check in process is usually fairly quick. They provide eye and ear pro, and a selection of 5-6 different type of target with no extra charge. Going to the range is where it gets bad. You will get some kind of comment from the RO every single time. While I am not opposed to tight safety, each time it gets a little more ridiculously arbitrary. It's always based on something that happened with a customer in the past. The amount of restrictions has reached a critical mass at this point. I would consider myself a reasonably safe and mindful shooter, and I just want to shoot in peace. It gets annoying having someone stare over your shoulder constantly. It kills any semblance of fun. Overall, this place seems to be targeting new shooters. Anyone that shoots more than 2-3 times will have outgrown this place by that point. This is most evident with their pricing. The classes, ammo, and their gun store are extremely overpriced. I would even opine the pricing is predatory, targeting people who just don't know any better. As someone who keeps up to date on ammo prices in general, I can say that the ammo there is sold at 2-3x times the price you could get it online. The ammo is also usually the absolute cheapest you can buy of that caliber. Usually, it's limited to that one batch/brand they have at the time. The gun store prices charge anywhere between a 25-40% markup on firearms. The selection is decently sized at least, but I would still recommend shopping elsewhere. Judging based on my experience over the last year or so, I will be looking for a different range to go to. The two stars is for the fact they keep it clean and relatively fresh looking.
