And get this--mine was the very first RX 10 they sold! That made the experience even more special, and Jordan handled the flagship bow setup like a true professional. The setup process was detailed and meticulous, especially since I was keen on utilizing the new Hoyt XTS tuning system right away. I know I can be a bit particular when it comes to getting a bow dialed in, but Jordan was incredibly friendly and patient throughout the entire process. They walked me through every adjustment, explaining the nuances of the XTS system without ever making me feel rushed. Jordan's expertise and commitment to making sure the bow was perfectly tailored to me were truly outstanding. It's rare to find that level of dedication and customer service. These guys are great. They know their stuff, and are willing to help you out as much as possible. Super knowledgeable on the NFA/Suppressor applications, made it pain free. They've had a pretty decent selection of firearms every time I've gone there, and tons of ammo. The bow and archery section looks expansive, but I've never been on that side. read more

After several visits throughout the years to this store hoping the customer service would improve or the employees were just having a bad day, I will certainly not be spending any more money at this business. Coming from someone who has worked in law enforcement and even a gun shop myself, I can honestly say customers deserve better than what this business offers. The markup on firearms, ammo, accessories is unlike anything I've seen in the Shenandoah Valley which isn't even the worst aspect of this business unfortunately - it's the employees attitudes. I can't say every employee is this way as I did not engage with them all; however, the ones I did or witnessed engaging with other customers, was unbelievable. Novice shooters/customers' questions were greeted with short answers, sarcasm, and pretentious responses for no reason. Unfortunately, due to firearms sales increasing exponentially, some gun shop owners/employees believe they can treat customers as poorly as they wish without affecting business. This store is a hidden gem if you happen to find yourself traveling along I-81 between H-burg and Winchester, and need a quick break to satisfy your gun fix. The shop staff are all extremely friendly and willing to help you find what you're looking for, and the owner is honest about his business. The prices are very fair, and occasionally you will find some unique collectibles on the used shelf. Definitely check Shenandoah out next time you're in the area! read more

I don't know who the other "reviewer" is but it sounds like he wanted something done that couldn't be done and when Robert and Jordan made their suggestions, he obviously didn't like the sound of having to spend more money. I have spent well over $5,000 at SSG and actually find Robert, Jordan, and all of the staff very pleasant, down to earth, and above all things competitively priced (as in they beat EVERY price). With the exception of 2 of the 15 guns I own, they've all been purchased from Robert. They're always happy to give phone quotes on purchases, they're up front on trades, and will work with you on layaway and prices. If you're going anywhere else you're wasting your time and money. Not only that they have significant expertise in both bow and firearm that other shop and large dealers (like gander) don't. Don't take someone's butt hurt as truth. I've been there. A lot. About lots of stuff. They've never failed me. They always work hard to make sure I'm happy. And even if they can't make a deal with me, they always make sure that I know they'd be happy to see me again. read more

The owners & staff at Shenandoah Sporting Goods are very knowledgeable and courteous. They have a very large selection of firearms and ammo, I've never been disappointed with the choices that they offer. I'm not really into bows, however I will say (from growing up in a family owned sporting goods store) that their selection of bows and accessories never fail to amaze me. I have been in this place a few times and every time fellt like I walked on to a car dealer lot. The owner was very arrogant and wouldnt answer my questions. He was only worried about whether I was buying one of his brand new guns or not. His prices are outrageous and the same guns can be found just a few miles away for less. I bought a new Glock 43 for $150 less just up the road. They are very unprofessional when it comes to handling complaints. If you want a firearm. Go elsewhere. read more

Horrible customer service the owner Robert is one of the biggest AHOLES I have ever met!!! I will never do service/purchases here again and suggest everyone to find other places to shop for guns ,ammo ,and archery. He claims to be a PSE Authorized dealer but talks crap about PSE products!!! Told me that PSE puts cheap strings on the bows. THE PSE COMPANY SAID THAT HE WAS TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MY WIFE. HE WAS GOING TO PUT SOME GREAT NEW STRING ON IT???? B.S. Funny when I was face to face with him he got defensive and told me he had the right to refuse any customer he wanted. And did this with a store full of customers. And better yet PSE told me to send them the bow and they would cover the repairs 100%. And they don't know why a dealer wouldn't cover there repairs at 100% The bow is only 6 months old. But when you have a failing business I guess you have to squeeze any dollar you can out of your customers that you can. This guy really should go back to customer service training and learn how to help his customers not scream across the counter at them. read more
