The variety clothes is unlike any other vintage store. They have clothes for men, women and kids and anyone between. The staff are kind and helpful. The owners are delightful!! They mainly do business with vintage shops and boutiques, but they have recently decided to open their doors to the public on the last Saturday of each month. The set-up of Top Vintage is like a warehouse (of win). However, if you are expecting a disorganized joint where shoppers are left to fend for themselves, you are sorely mistaken. They have all their items arranged into areas and bins, from dresses to overalls to jackets to shorts to shoes to bags/backpacks. During July's Top Saturday, they even hand-picked some black and white items to go on separate racks for easier browsing. As a vintage shopper, it is a prime source of goods and the Saturday events are like treasure hunts. It's that much more rewarding to take something home when you know you've worked to discover it. The staff is very kind and helpful and it is a great environment to shop. Paula is super sweet and is always willing to help you pick out a head to toe look for that special occasion. My niece is an avid…read morelittle thrifty and so is my sorority sister who lives nearby so she was happy to join us on our spring break thrifting outing along the Westheimer thrift strip. They have well organized bins with daily by the pound specials. Thursday is the best bargain day at $1 per pound of clothes! On the Tuesday we visited they also gave out large 25 lb mystery bags as a free gift to shoppers while supplies lasted. My soror took the bag for her 8th graders. I hope the bag contains some great bounty for them. I bought several skirts and dresses for work. They have a great assortment of longer skirts. I also bought a few pairs of linen pants. For less than $100 bucks I'm pretty much all set for the summer. One thing to note, there isnt a restroom but Empire Cafe, just across the street doesn't mind patrons using their restroom.
