Updating my review because the manager called me Thursday and we had a long conversation regarding my concerns and my experience this last time as a seller. I will say I went in that Thursday and Friday and found some great deals.... I used to love preloved months ago. I never had an issue. This week, I stoped by to shop and the booths are a mess! The staff is just standing behind the counter and the booths are just all over the place. Hangers are randomly hanging out and items are unorganized and opened. I know I personally took a long time to organize my booths and made sure the sizers were used and things were by size. I know things get messy sometimes but not this bad. I believe this can affect our sales. The fee is $30 per week, plus 40% plus the first $5 sold goes to the store to cover fees for the tags. We are paying for our booths to be taken care of and I don't feel like this is happening. I'm going to have to re consider being a seller again.

They sold me an expensive heavy bottle sealed and when I got to the house to open it didn't have any liquid, besides expensive no were on the bottle or tags does it say display only.. now they don't want to give me the refund or even store credit. A terrible experience

In the ashes of Hemline, a new Em & Lee has sprung up. Hemline is still about, it's just moved…read more I really like Em & Lee. If you're looking for a last minute dress, top, shoes, or scarf for your night out, avoid University Drive and just head here. The clothes are affordable, but aren't genera-hip (ie bland) like some other, cheaper shops a block over. You're not really going to run into someone else with the exact same dress. And you're not going to be wearing much polyester. The cotton to poly-fiber ratio is about 5:5 here which is saying something, especially since the clothes are relatively inexpensive and relatively well-made. Again, this sounds mildly negative, but last minute is last minute and I wouldn't want you to waste your time either paying too much or getting a sub par outfit somewhere else. In fact, the last time I was here, I almost got a really cute, yet edgy strapless dress. Creamy white with a graphic silver, gold, and bronze pattern, and a fullish, layered skirt. Super cute, but I'm not certain how chilly or blazing hot New Years is going to be. Hmm. There are now five Em & Lee shops in town. Of the ones I've been to, including West Grey, I like this one the best. It's the warm wood interior. I'm not certain if that's left over from Hemline, but well, it's more inviting. Also, there were no sixteen year old River Oaks prima donna wannabes flitting about.

A girl's gotta maintain her image and her checkbook. Em & Lee was a great solution for cute cocktail dresses at a reasonable price. I came here upon the recommendation of Allie N. and I'm glad I listened! I had previously spent a bit of time browsing the sales racks of various stores (both department and independent retail shops) and couldn't find anything under $100 and wasn't skankified. I purchased a pale pink/nude-toned dress that was a poly-chiffon. It had a rouched top with a pleated skirt. It was $76 (regular price!) and an appropriate length. They also have a variety of cute tops and casual dresses. It's trendy but not too much. Although, the sizing is more like junior sizing so you may find yourself in between sizes. I appreciate the coupons they have on their website and facebook page. I got $10 off of my purchase because of that.

Service was fast and friendly. No long line, and no large crowd, during the houston rodeo week. Which is what I was expecting.

I recently purchased two sets of Nautica socks at the Ross on Kirby in Houston…read more When I got home and tried them on, I found that they were slippery and made my shoes squeak (probably why they were at Ross). Living 50 miles, I called ahead and was told by the person on the phone that there wouldn't be a problem returning socks without a receipt. I made the trip in rush hour traffic (seriously), only to be told by the manager, who confirmed that she was actually the same person I talked to on the phone, that no return could be made without the original packaging. I replied that the socks didn't come in a package, only a wraparound sticker and a plastic fastener. She replied that she knew this, but considered those things to be the package. Really?!? To any sane person, those things are just trash! I suggested that she just scan an identical item from the shelf, but she refused, saying something like there was a chance of scanning the wrong one. I knew that there were only two versions of this product, though, because I had bought one of each version! It's standard practice for retail stores to grab a matching product from the shelf in order to scan the UPC. Her refusal to do so seemed to be a deliberate attempt to save face and deny my reasonable request. This misleading info and poor service wasted my time and fuel. I reached out to the corporate office, to give them a chance to make this right, but all they did was quote the return policy, which I did not run afoul of. To be more specific, the return policy does not require that the item be in its original packaging. I will be happy to remove my poor review of Ross Stores when they issue me a refund. Until then, y'all are better off going to the competition. There's plenty out there.

Had a great experience at this adorable boutique! The…read moresweetest staff member made the whole visit feel bubbly, friendly, and fun. I ended up buying a super cute dress, and the quality seems solid so far. I'll see how it holds up with wear, but I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're looking for a dress for a casual event or night out. The pieces feel a lot more wearable and higher quality than what I usually find at other boutiques. There's a 10% off coupon when you sign up for texts that came up on my phone instantly! I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and not too busy, just the perfect relaxed shopping vibe!

I purchased a dress from their online boutique which I needed to send back because it ran much too…read morebig even though the site stated it ran true to size. I was informed that they do not provide exchanges and returns are store credit only. When I initiated the return I found out I had to pay to send it back AND I'd lose what I originally paid for shipping; so I received a $50 store credit for a dress I originally paid $66.79 for. I reordered the dress in a smaller size and had to spend an almost additional $30 to reorder the exact same dress in a different size, as I lost the first time purchase discount and had to pay for the difference added on by taxes and shipping fees. Store credit only is usually a deterrent in itself, but having to pay return shipping fees, loosing original shipping fee paid AND not being able to exchange for the exact item is simply unfair to customers. Not to mention that the quality of the dress I bought is waaay under the marked price. I would never order from this site again, nor would I recommended to anyone.
