I had a great first experience selling with Preloved! Set up is on Saturday and it's best to get there around 15 minutes before it's opened to get a parking spot because parking is very limited. There are hangers and extra sales tags available if needed. After the deductions for the booth fee and the percentage taken by Preloved, I was very satisfied with my profit. Preloved is a neat concept. The consignment store features a number of booths that sellers can book to showcase their clothing, shoes and accessories to buyers which rotates on a weekly basis. Each booth is numbered and some sellers go so far as to set up small signs with their size ranges and brands offered or hang small banners from the top surface to attract customers. Each item is marked with their seller's booth number, the size, and the price. While some people may not like this approach to consignment shopping, I thought it was kind of nice to find booths that had roughly the same size and a similar taste in fashion rather than shuffling through a rack of one hundred pairs of pants. I will say that there was quite a range of prices with many pieces listed for $5 or $10 but also some items listed for $40+. I did expect to find more higher end brands but was overall satisfied with the condition of the clothes. The store was clean, well lit and organized during my visit. They have three dressing rooms with large mirrors so you can make sure items fit before purchasing as all sales are final. They could however do a better job posting more information on how the store operates. When I checked out I mentioned to the woman behind the counter that it was my first time visiting and she shared that items sometimes go on sale later in the week when sellers are getting close to the time that they must rotate their inventory around the weekend. With this in mind, if you're looking for a fresh drop stop by in the beginning of the week, if you're looking for a deal, stop by closer to Friday. read more

Updating my review because the manager called me Thursday and we had a long conversation regarding my concerns and my experience this last time as a seller. I will say I went in that Thursday and Friday and found some great deals.... I used to love preloved months ago. I never had an issue. This week, I stoped by to shop and the booths are a mess! The staff is just standing behind the counter and the booths are just all over the place. Hangers are randomly hanging out and items are unorganized and opened. I know I personally took a long time to organize my booths and made sure the sizers were used and things were by size. I know things get messy sometimes but not this bad. I believe this can affect our sales. The fee is $30 per week, plus 40% plus the first $5 sold goes to the store to cover fees for the tags. We are paying for our booths to be taken care of and I don't feel like this is happening. I'm going to have to re consider being a seller again. read more

They sold me an expensive heavy bottle sealed and when I got to the house to open it didn't have any liquid, besides expensive no were on the bottle or tags does it say display only.. now they don't want to give me the refund or even store credit. A terrible experience read more

As a seller, I would NOT recommend this place... The concept is actually really cool, it's just poorly executed and the employees do NOT care to be there. They are not helpful at all (I should've listened to the other reviews) and they do not upkeep the shop at all. When I signed up for my booths, the staff hardly explained anything. I had to ask questions to get any kind of answers, which was frustrating because I should've been given a much more thorough "this is how it works" explanation from the beginning. I needed to get rid of my Poshmark inventory as I'm moving soon, so I figured this was the easiest way to make a little money off some things. Well when I came to pick up my items that didn't sell last night, I saw that my booth was a MESS! Stuff just strung around everywhere. As someone who works in the fashion industry, I was appalled that the employees were not taking the time to straighten up the booths. Instead they just stand around, talking to each other. So frustrating!!! What's more, I found OTHER PEOPLES STUFF in my booth... I returned them to its owner (booth 38), but this is highly concerning. This means that my stuff could've potentially been in someone else's booth and they ran off with it as everyone was there frantically throwing things from their booth into their bags. I had read bad reviews about the staff not actually looking after the booths or the overall appearance of the store, but I had hoped that this has been addressed and resolved. NOPE! They most definitely let this place get torn up and do not care about what happens to the seller's items. If you have nice stuff that you want to get rid of and you don't care what happens to it, then you should be fine selling here, although you really won't make much money since they take 40% of sales. However, if you want all of your unsold items back and in good condition, STAY AWAY as this won't occur. read more

We love checking out resale shops and this was a nice small one! Was mainly clothing and since we have 2 young grandchildren we picked up a few nice outfits for them. We saw a few toys and some assorted women's clothing too. And I believe that they had a few toys and a small assortment of shoes. I imagine that the inventory varies weekly depending on the consignments that they receive. read more

I love the concept of this store but I do think there could be some improvements. The suggested sales are a bit...well if you do 75% off or 90% off items you are for sure just loosing money after the store takes their cut. On the flip side I gave found some AMAZING finds! Recently I think some social media presence has sellers upping prices so I'll be interested to see how that affects the store. I used to love Preloved until recently I am under the understanding that they changed management and since then has changed so much. I have sold with them plenty of time most have been great experiences but as of recently emailing them takes forever to get a response from them. My most recent booth had a mixture of women x kids clothes the employees saw me setting up yet nobody told me that I wasn't allowed to mix items until day 3 out of 6 (since they're closed on Sundays). They waited 3 wholes days to say something to me then proceeded to take down my booth. Someone should've said something while I was setting up instead of wasting my time and effort. The new management is awful the store is dirty , clothes everywhere not in the right booths all the time and communication is the worst. Sucks to see a great concept go to waste with the new management. I used to love going there but will probably never be back. read more

Great place to shop for a rare find, but a horrible place to sell. This concept is a great idea that has been poorly executed. This concept may work in other states, but Houston, we have a problem! I rented 2 booths, brought 80 pieces of clothing, shoes and accessories , priced them modestly and made less than $100 on both booths. Only picked up 50 or so pieces at pick up. As I mentioned I modestly priced my items, but this math didn't add up and they have no sales record to over you in order to reconcile. When I questioned Joselyn, who has had a terrible attitude every time I made a visit as a buyer or seller, she told me the terms and conditions mention that they are not responsible for items that are stolen or damaged. So imagine bringing your clothes to a store where people can shop lift them or take them when they are doing own closet clean out, and being told oh well? Never again. The time was not worth what the sales rendered. Do not use this store. Just make a donation to a local charity and take the write off. The owner needs to get Jocelyn out of there before she puts her out of business. Worst customer experience in a retail clothing store in a really long time. Jocelyn should not be customer facing. Jocelyn is always on the phone gossiping, and she'll get an attitude if you interrupt her conversation to ask for help or to pay for your items. The other ladies who work there are very sweet and helpful . This comment is equally about the poor execution of this store as it is about Jocelyn and her very nasty almost arrogant disposition and poor customer service. People behind the register like Jocelyn are the reason that In person shoppers turn to shopping online. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to selling at this store. Missing items, questionable sales records and nonchalant employees (although I only experienced one named Jocelyn) are obviously a common complaint. read more

The whole set up. I came as a buyer not a seller. The young girl at the counter was so fixated on her cellphone. She rung up my items then during the time I'm reaching for my card she continues texting. So obviously to her environment. I proceed to ask her how to sell. She explained but when she said they keep 40% on top of paying $30 for the booth I was like No Way this is insane. This girl is not even watching the customers. My stuff could be moved from my cubby and no where to be found or it could be stolen at her not even caring about the store. No thank you. Poor management. read more

I went in to check it out on a Saturday. The young lady at the front desk told me that you bring your stuff in Saturday morning, people expected discounts on Friday, and that if I didn't make $30 on sales they would refund my $30 for the booth. I believed her, paid, and she tossed me the tags to price my stuff. I spent tge week pricing and tagging my stuff and then came to put it in my booth early the following Saturday. While there the staff told me to create an account online so I could see my sales. I saw a tab that said manage discounts. It SUGGESTED O discount 25% Tuesday, 50% Wednesday, on untiln90% on Saturday. I didn't price my stuff at a rate I could afford to do that so I didn't. I then saw I had to clean out my booth Friday between 7 and 8pm. No other way is possible unless you pay them an extraordinary amount to do it. In this neighborhood that's disrespectful at best. I was attending a bar mitzvah. I had to leave the serve, go to Preloved to clean out my booth only to be told since I didn't follow their SUGGESTED discount schedule I am not eligible for the $30 refund....so in the end it cost me $10 to give away a pair of jeans and a sweatshirt and I missed an important moment at services. read more
