It is my believe that this restaurant could be achieving a higher rating. Most of the food was very well prepared, homemade snd delicious. We did enjoy our breakfast very much. Maddie was our server and she was excellent. The eggs and homemade bread's and all potato choices were very tasty. Skip the coffee, it's very watery with no flavor to speak of and the pancake which the owner refunded for us, was very dry yet and heavy. That being said, I usually drink coffee when I have a pancake and both were a miss so, neither consumed. note*** having had pancakes from Juno Beach Cafe in Florida, you would understand the quest for an amazing pancake that would come close to Juno Beach Cafe's UEP (uncle Eddie's pancakes). There are moist airy and light and immediately start disintegrating in your mouth with every bite. So you can understand my high standards for a pancake. Cute farm with all the animals allowed to roam freely or in a pen, except for the dog tied up to a lead in the back, sitting on the cold wet concrete slab. So sad. That was hard to see, but I'm a dog admirer and my doggie has his own mini BioMat. I wish he had a doghouse with a dry blanket inside. He was very cute. What a fun time! Group of 14 for Great Grandpas 80th birthday. This place is a hidden jewel! We were seated upstairs by a window overlooking the apple orchard. The food is farm to table fresh. The thick slice bacon is from Newton meats; probably the best bacon I've ever eaten. I ordered the Planter - raspberry french toast which included 1 egg, 1 meat choice (bacon), and toast. It was so difficult to choose from the menu; everything looks so good. The french toast and the bacon was so filling that I wasn't sure if I'd eat the eggs. The guys both ordered the Grain Shocker which has a 1/2 order of several types of french toast, choice of meat, and choice of potato. Everything was wonderful! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The decor is cozy and comfortable. They have a produce store where local honey, maple syrup, jams and jellies can be purchased; also, fruit pies. All you need to do is bake the pie when you get home. They have some farm animals such as goats, and an alpaca that you can purchase food for and feed. They serve breakfast and lunch. Good food, terrible service. We have been going to Whispering Orchards for quite a while now. The last three Saturdays have been awful. The few visits prior to today were just an extended wait for food, which is not really a big deal for us. Unfortunately, we were completely ignored by the waiting staff today. We watched multiple groups walk in and be served before us. We told a waitress that we had been sitting there for quite a while, she said she'd look into it. We did not even receive drinks the whole time we sat there. After watching more groups arrive and also get served, we decided to just get up and leave. I was disappointed with Whispering Orchards because they kept their 3 pet rabbits in unacceptable conditions. The rabbits lacked space, were fed with corn which is unhealthy and had to live on mesh surface which hurts their feet. I would advise the owner to educate themselves on proper rabbit care. What can I say that hasn't been said? This place has great food and is a great family place. We always stop in the store while there to by some goodies like fresh pies that are frozen and can be baked at home and canned goods. The kids will love seeing the animals and farm. Get there early or at an off time because parking can be a problem. The only improvement I could suggest is more organization for the staff. Watching them run up and down the steps makes me think there must be a better way to save them some of those steps, and improve speed per table. read more

Wonderful food, great breakfast menu! Very courteous and pleasant workers! We were going to the Ryder Cup in Sheboygan and wanted to enjoy the countryside beforehand. We searched the map for a nice restaurant and chose the Whispering Orchard. Upon arrival it looked beautiful. We were advised to sit on the second floor to enjoy the view. The Orchard was beautiful! The food was simple but tasted fresh from the farm. The waitress was quick and helpful. The meal was very cost effective and truly enjoyable. Whispering Orchards is one of our favorite places to have brunch and to take guest. Everything is local and homemade, from the seasonal fruit bread french toast(raspberry bread, peach bread, cranberry bread french toast, for example), the farm fresh eggs, homemade breads and jams, delicious potato kugel, rustic apple dumplings, to the best bacon there is. Seriously. It'll make you want to slap your grandma and flip you wig! The maple syrup and honey are also local, and anything with apple in the name is from there at the orchard. The owners are in the kitchen making the magic happen, and the waitresses are always friendly. I read a review that complained about the wait, but considering they are making everything to order, it's no longer than can be expected and definitely worth it. You are going to want an appetite anyway, because the potions are huge! Go with a little time to spare, and enjoy the little Shop next door where you can buy there delicious apple cider and some of that amazing bacon to take home, then wander around outside and enjoy the greedy goats, guinea hens, alpacas, yak, chickens, bunnies, peacocks, turkies, and emus. The food was excellent and fresh and the atmosphere is unlike any restaurant I've been to. I felt like I was eating out and in someone's home at the same time. The buttermilk pancakes arw HUGE and a little sweet. I love that they serve real butter and maple syrup, it makes such a difference with pancakes. My friend had the cinnamon roll pancake and it was like eating a giant cinnamon roll. The portions are huge and you will likely have leftovers. I don't live in Wisconsin anymore, but EVERY time I visit Whispering Orchards is the one place I make sure I go. The food is so fresh (I believe most of it is produced on the farm) and the menu is inspired (banana bread turned into french toast, apple dumplings!). The best breakfast in the Sheboygan area and you cannot beat the environment. Make sure to sit upstairs if you can. After you've had your amazing meal, make sure to take home a dozen farm fresh eggs and a gallon of the best apple cider you've ever had. I love this place so much. We've been at least a dozen times, and it's the best breakfast I've ever had. First, their fruit bread french toast--no matter the fruit, it's always what I get. I just can't get over how delicious it is. Last time I went it was a blueberry bread french toast. wow. I always get one of their specials. They're priced well, and they're always different. The husband often gets their omelets, and those are also incredible. One of my favorite things about this place is that they serve real maple syrup, and it's just there on the table, so when I order my coffee (which they deliver in a pot to my table =), I can sweeten it with maple syrup, and I hardly need any creamer because the coffee is just delicious. I've heard they get their own blend roasted, but that's hearsay & unconfirmed (but I would believe it). Honestly I think it's hilarious that people are complaining about the wait. Everything is very local and made from scratch. There was even an article about it in nearby town Sheboygan's paper. It started quite a few years ago and it is just the coolest place. Apple stuffed French toast is sooooo good- so is the coffee! Atmosphere is so cool- you're in a barn like building, filled with Apple themed curtains and such, and taxidermered animals if all kinds. You can even get a peacock feather for $1.25!! Whispering Orchards reminds me of an old-fashioned Route 66 tourist trap. "Farm to Table" doesn't quite fit here because the TABLE is literally ON THE FARM. Everything is incredibly fresh, "house-made" within reason, or locally sourced. The barn and orchard are beautiful. You can hear roosters crowing from the open windows while you eat. There are llamas and goats to pet and feed. If you enjoyed the outstandingly meaty well-smoked bacon or house-made jams, you can buy a couple pounds and jars from the store. I went inside to put our name in and noticed that some of the wait staff were not wearing masks. I asked if they were socially distancing the tables. Highly disappointed! As a chef I was so excited to see a farm for breakfast with fresh eggs. That was about the only one bing that was good. The he apple pancakes seemed underdone, very sour. The fact they touted eggs being so fresh straight from the farm made it seem like everything would be that way. Maple syrup wasn't real. Terrible coffee, dry sausage. This place was as awesome as everyone claims it is! We were on our way to Manitowoc from Milwaukee and decided to stop for breakfast. It is a cute country style place and the food was to die for. I got an omelet, my wife had just basic over easy eggs and my dad had the French toast. We all loved our meals, my dad said it was the best French toast he ever had and he is 84. Our waitress was super friendly and you could tell she loved working there. She told us all about how everything was local and made fresh every day and you could tell. It will be a must stop when passing through in the future. All that being said, had I been able to give half stars I would have given it 4.5 stars. Because we were with my dad we didn't want to go upstairs which meant we pretty much sat in the lobby. 90% of the tables are upstairs which obviously gets the bulk of the wait staffs attention. Standard for breakfast is when you order coffee it comes right away, well we waited for a good 10 minutes and no coffee. I asked the kid who was working the front desk (because he was literally 10 feet from our table) and you would have thought I was speaking French! He was so confused on what to do he ran upstairs to get someone! Dude, the coffee pot and cups were right next to you. Seriously? But I am stop sticking with my 5 stars because our waitress was so sweet and she was trying really hard. I am chalking that one up to just bad layout of the restaurant and the fact that those girls are constantly running up and down stairs. read more

The food is great, server was friendly and attentive and great with the kids, but none of the employees were wearing masks. If you are ok with that then you will enjoy your meal. That alone would have earned a 3.5 or 4 star rating from me, would have been 4 or 4.5 if the hostess would have cracked a smile or said hello. The store is cute and has a nice selection of products. The thing that bothered me was when we entered the store the women at the front counter told me I didn't need to wear my mask and could take it off while shopping. I thought that was inappropriate. That is in conflict with the statewide mask mandate in the midst of surging COVID cases in the state. It's one thing for an individual to make the decision to not wear a mask on their own, but it's an entirely different level of irresponsibility to actively discourage other people from wearing masks in this setting.
