Dry and tasteless orange chicken sandwich
    Stephen C.

One more star than last time. We sat outside for brunch. There was a very talented singer performing. She had a lot of fans there. But it was impossible to converse due to the volume of the music. We were seated during a break or would have requested an inside table. The menu was extensive. I selected two eggs, correctly cooked over medium. They came with 2 sausages, 2 strips of bacon, potato choice and bread choice. My wife ordered an omelet and fruit. My home fries were delicious but the potatoes were undercooked and seasoned with what looked like an eyelash. My wife's omelet contained more bacon than I've ever seen on one plate. The sausages were out of this world - I've never tasted better. But the server got my bread order wrong Servers and kitchen appear overworked. We didn't see much of our server. When it was time for the bill, I was shown a total and a tip screen, no detail. So, a mixed bag. One more star for the sausages. We'll probably wait a while before trying again.

This place caught my eye during a day trip to Mount Dora. We stopped in for lunch and chose to sit at their spacious outdoor patio. My husband had the special of the day, which was a bbq burger. I had the fried shrimp sandwich, both of is had a side order of crispy onion rings. Their menu had an extensive selection, and their food was delicious. I noticed that they had a brunch option available as well until 2:00pm The staff was very friendly. I absolutely recommend this restaurant and will eat there again.

This is a nice restaurant outside of the historic downtown Mount Dora Area. It offers various American dishes. My favorites were the ribeye with their whiskey steak glaze and a side of whiskey sugar carrots, their mocktails (I tried the blueberry and strawberry ones) and I also throughly enjoyed the Zeppoli's filled with chocolate and caramel. My husband really enjoyed the beef stew as well. Great space for a date night, friend outing or special occasion

Service, atmosphere and food items never disappoint! This morning we had breakfast. The menu is fantastic and the marinated brisket quesadillas were absolutely delicious

Food was pretty good. I had chicken and waffles, my wife had Eggs Benedict. Everything was okay..nothing really exciting or mind blowing. I guess I expected a little bit more "wow". Our server Ace did a great job and she was very friendly! I imagine this place gets pretty busy at times. Seems like it is a good sports bar vibe. But as far as food, plating and taste...pretty average, not bad mind you, I was just expecting a little more of a wow factor.

This place is fantastic! Bartender Kimberly knows how to mix a drink!! Buffalo mac n cheese is made with the best beer cheese we've eaten in a long time. BBQ brisket quesadillas were phenomenal also. We got here at 11am to make sure we missed the crowds. But they have live music in the evenings.

This is a cute, new place, with outdoor seating. The food is mostly bar food. That being said, the best thing we had was the lobster roll. With the brisket sandwich a close second. It seemed like small servings at first glance but we left full. The server was very friendly and helpful.

Driving back to Georgia after a visit to the mouse and wanting to limit our exposure to the I-4…read moretraffic, we drove through the charming town of Mount Dora. There are lots of delightful restaurants there (according to yelpers) but many were located downtown and parking was hard to find so we decided to go to Fifth Avenue Streatery since we had driven by and there was lots of parking. All of which the tables are outside on a charming patio with lots of interesting decor. It was 11:30 so the day was pleasant and sitting outside was fine. Not sure how I would feel about that in August. Our waitress was Haley (guessing at the spelling) and she was bubbly and very attentive. The menu wasn't overwhelming and I always think that's a good sign that most of the food is being prepared fresh and not pulled from a freezer. My mom ordered the fish sandwich with tomato and cucumber salad. After ordering the Italian Haley said they were out of beef until the owner arrived so I went for the day's special which was a seafood basket: two pieces of fried fish, four huge shrimp and clam strips. Clam strips are not my favorite but these were very crisp and tasty. It was served with fries and cold slaw. We both agreed the food was very good. I asked for some cocktail sauce and after a few minutes she came back with saying she had to make some. It was fantastic, very horseradish forward which I loved. I am glad we couldn't locate our first two choices since we got to eat at this funky little place and have the best server in all of Mt. Dora.

The drinks were priced great and the soup and burgers were so good! But I went 01/10/2026 at 230pm (busy rush for a pub on a Saturday) and I ordered a burger and soup because they have a soup of the day each day, who doesn't love that. Well my soup came out quick and I was pleased with that, it was chicken orzo soup, so good! Well I start getting to the soup and thought oh wow they put cheese in here, didn't tell me it would have cheese and I'm rubbing it around in my mouth cause I like to taste my food you know? Well it wasn't cheese...... IT WAS SOMEONES CHEWED MINTY GUM IN MY MOUTH STUCK IN MY TEETH I got sick (in a napkin of course) and informed my server, ran to the bathroom some more getting sick and when I came back my server informed me I wouldn't pay for anything, I made a comment that maybe the dishwasher didn't do a good job but the server told me he wish that was the case that it was intended for an employee on break and he thought it was mine in the window and it wasn't, he apologized, well I took a couple shots of whiskey to kill the bacteria hopefully. I asked for a manger to come talk to me because I work in the food industry and I don't feel it was handled correctly, he informed me the manger was not there he had to text her to get the approval for the bill. So I was definitely taken back. I have never had anything like this happen to me and the two girls I was with also tasted the soup because I said it didn't taste right and they was literally given a bill for their 15$ burgers and I got a 10% card to hopefully come back. I have called twice to talk to a manger and have not gotten through to anyone, I've seen messages online to suspected owners and still nothing back, I was told the guy with the gauges in the kitchen is the one that did it, I woken up with a sore throat today and will be going to get tested and they will be informed of my medical bills by a lawyer. PS my friend ordered a burger Togo a few hours later for her aunt I went in to get the burger and pay with my 10% card and the short haired short server with glasses was seen laughing at the computer about the situation, I just don't think it was funny at all.

They have all the breakfast items you can imagine and a whole bunch of lunch and dinner options as well. Their menu continues to expand. We, of course, went for breakfast and had our choice of eggs and bacon and grits and pancakes ... but what stood out for me was the biscuits and gravy and the SOS. If you don't know what SOS stands for, look it up... it's a great breakfast item. The SOS is not the same as the biscuits and sausage gravy because that is sausage gravy, the SOS has chipped beef in gravy and usually will come on toast, but I prefer it with the biscuits. I asked for my eggs over easy and they were just right. The side of grits comes in a small bowl which is a good portion for one person and the pancakes were humongous - a very good size for two pancakes and golden brown... I ended up sharing with my wife.
