You can tell this is a local favorite and for good reason. We decided to check this place out on St. Patrick's Day. From the outside, it has an old Western vibe, but once you step inside, the atmosphere completely changes. Drink prices are fair, and Heather, our bartender, was great. I will say, though, she went a little heavy on the food coloring in my green beer lol. At first, the place felt a bit cliquey, like the locals weren't too welcoming to outsiders. But as the night went on, the vibe relaxed, and we ended up having a really good time. That said, some areas still felt a bit cliquey. They do have a kitchen, but it closes at 9:30 p.m. After that, they offer pizza by the slice for around $2, if I remember correctly. Unfortunately this place wasn't a good experience for me. The bar looked pretty run down and the overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable. It was fairly slow when we were there, but the service wasn't very attentive to females. The bartender seemed to focus mostly on the men at the bar and didn't really acknowledge the women much. The crowd and environment also didn't feel very welcoming. I noticed some offensive symbols and imagery among patrons and even displayed by staff, which made the space feel uninviting and uneasy. I only ordered drinks, not food, but the food I saw coming out didn't look very appealing. Overall it just wasn't my type of place and I wouldn't return. Definitely more of a trashy vibe. read more

When for the first time since I've lived out here and I can say enough good things. We had an absolutely lovely breakfast for my birthday. I highly recommend coming Saturday/Sunday for a 100/10 breakfast. My husband and I agreed wholeheartedly that that country fried streak was absolutely the best around that the biscuits and gravy is not something you want to miss. I have been searching for a great biscuit and gravy since I've been in the city and I kick myself for not coming here sooner. I've definitely been missing out. Thanks to the Chef. This little hidden gem is a chill bar that has a lot of character. I love their mini and French fries. Their food is pretty good for a dive bar. Also the service is amazing even on busy days and nights. I usually go on Thursday's Karaoke nights. Rachel is one of my favorite bartenders and she also sings. Love it here. read more

What a great place to watch Dodger baseball and chill!! Ordered the BLT and fries and an order of fried zucchini. The fried zucchini comes with a spicy ranch which is too hot for my gringa a$$ but they are made fresh and so good! I didn't take any pictures of my BLT but trust me - it was bomb! But let's talk about their French fries...I don't know what they are coating them in! It brings me back to the days when Carl's Jr. fries were so crispy and tasty!!! Sooo good! Finally checked out Whiskey Babes in Winchester and was blown away! First off, the place is much bigger than it looks in photos--great layout and plenty of space. The bartender was incredibly affable and friendly, and our food was really yummy, too. What really stood out was the atmosphere; sometimes local spots can feel "cliquey," but the regulars here were a joy and super friendly. We didn't feel like outsiders at all for trying a new place. ZERO STARS!!!! My friends and I came in on Christmas hoping to have some fun after a really stressful day of working. I have the newest form of California state drivers license that I recently renewed, it looks different than the old ones, which he should be informed about as bartender. He refused to serve me alcohol bc he thought it looked fake. I'm a 35 year old woman with a valid CA drivers license and he refused to serve me!!! Fucking unacceptable!!! He was so rude to us and then kicked us out. I am beyond livid and he completely ruined our Xmas. It was later in the evening and it was the only bar open for miles. We had nowhere else to go. Happy to go here on Taco Tuesday! Usually i order the Taco Bowl but we hadn't had BBQ Chicken pizza in a while. The owners of this place have been buying groceries at my store for years, they're super nice and buy fresh ingredients only, all the time. Well I've been telling them for the two years I've been seeing them, I was going to make it there with my husband for breakfast/brunch sometime, well we finally did last Friday. The place is Very clean, and the decor is Fabulous. Bree the owners daughter was our waitress, pretty and provided the Best customer service! My husband had the Pastrami sandwich w/tater tots and I had the chicken tenders,, they were both so yummy. Me and my family have been regulars at Whiskey Babes for quite sometime. The bbq chicken pizza and fries green beans are honestly phenomenal, Randy the karaoke DJ is great and the waiters and waitresses are great. For some reason tonight, we were told by the bartender that the kitchen was closed at 9 and our kids couldn't be there. If this is a new policy, we unfortunately won't be back. We have many fond memories here but if we cannot eat at 8:45 on a Thursday, we won't be coming back.
