You select the one you want, an associate programs the machine and loads your new tag. Then you take over the keyboard by selecting how many lines you want. The next step is typing what you want on the tag and selecting a font. Final step is proofing and hitting the engrave button. When it's done engraving, you've got a fashionable tag for your new family member. The other item I needed was a coupler. I needed it for the seatbelt restraint. Instead of securing one dog, I now needed to make sure two dogs were safe while riding shotgun. If I absolutely had to say one negative thing is that the wait time was a little long But that said it is a hospital and they take emergency patients so I can say if I have an emergency I would want them to take my baby right away. I have had to have pets put to sleep before and, even at the emergency vet, they've had a comforting room that doesn't feel sterile, with soft lighting, and seating. I guess I shouldn't have set my expectations that high. We were led to a dirty exam room with only a hard bench to sit on, had dog hair everywhere and smelled very very heavily of urine. I understand it is a vet's office, but I've never gone into an exam room that felt dirty before. After speaking with someone else who has gone here, they also reported that smell. The vet tech had a very strange demeanor and I understand having to protect your emotions in a job where you have to do this frequently but it was very uncomfortable. They took a very long time to return after they had sedated our pup and it made the whole experience feel that much worse. They had a very hard time putting in the IV, which is not their fault, as she had become very dehydrated within the last day. But watching them bend her leg in strange positions when she was unwell was very very upsetting. Finally, I called after 3 weeks of not receiving any phone call about her cremains being ready. They said it took about 2 weeks and I was trying to be patient. They told me that they had called me an entire week prior and had left a voicemail. I checked my missed calls and my voicemails and did not have either so I do not believe they actually called me. They may be amazing vets, I cannot speak on that. But overall, I was very sad that my pup's end of life experience was in a dingy exam room that smelled so heavily of urine.

Once I rescued/adopted a new fur-baby, her new vet recommended a couple of different brands of food. She did not recommend the one that the rescue group had been feeding her. Since her new vet is in Edwardsville and I had good luck here with Sprites food, I came back. I checked out all three of the brands that the new vet recommended and went with, Royal Canin. I liked the smaller bag, since Sophia is a small dog. That way the food will stay fresh and I can just buy more frequently. Plus, the price point is very affordable. The store is well organized and for a store that allows pets, it always smells clean.

They had several of these really cute mini ready-to-take-home aquarium/plant/shrimp setups in a tank that looks like a giant Lego brick, and several 2 to 3- gallon micro tanks were on display right up front. This seems to be a specialty! The owners and employees seemed knowledgeable, and they acted like they were as proud of their aquatic plants as their fish. I had a great time letting them show me around, and I walked out with a new plant and driftwood piece for my countertop water garden!
