Avocado toast on whole grain toast. Highly recommend!
April C.

This is not my first trip to Whisk and it is a pleasure every time. The ambiance is great and the service is always quick and friendly. And, this time I discovered the items on the children's menu and I had a great laugh! Where was this menu when my kids were small? The avocado toast was outstanding. Soo delicious and really filling!

A beautiful fall day to sit inside or out at the trendy cafe. We loved trying some of the specials...cookies and screams latte and an upside down ham and cheese sandwich. The apricot sauce made it special! Check this place out. It was worth the drive!

Stopped in for a coffee while attending a nearby event. What a lovely cafe! It was busy and the food looked good. My coffee was delicious. I will definitely come back for the full experience. There was plenty of parking but it is very close to an apartment complex so the parking lot was busy.

Strawberry shortcake waffle

Came back here again for breakfast and was reminded how AMAZING it is here. The service is always friendly and fast. We sat outside which was very nice - plus they have outdoor yard games to partake in while you're there! I love that they serve mimosas now!! The strawberry shortcake waffle was to DIE for! This is a must visit in the Etown area.

Lox Benedict

We all enjoyed our dishes! Fresh ingredients and a menu full of options. Service was friendly and efficient. The place is modern and the prices are reasonable. It looks like a great place to visit during warm weather, with an opportunity to eat outside. Definitely plan on returning! Lastly, if you are too full for dessert, get one to go. The coconut cake was absolutely amazing.

Such a cute restaurant. So pretty in the summer and lots of patio seating. Staff is very friendly. The food was fresh to order and delicious! Portions are huge so sharing may be a good choice, especially with their pancakes. Our table of 4 couldn't even finish them with the other dishes we got. Highly recommend!

Eggs Benedict, Hot Chocolate, Pancake

3/10 Eggs Benedict. It was served on a biscuit, which overpowered the other flavors. Being dense and floury, it crumbled when cut, making it difficult to eat. Hollandaise Sauce was made with too much lemon and butter, leaving it thin and without substance. The egg white was very thin but well poached over all. Home fries were hard and undercooked. Pancake was sweet but dry. Very tumultuous atmosphere, the large brick space accentuated the volume inside. The hot chocolate was the best thing of this visit, which was merely on par.

Not open as often as we'd like, seems like they have staffing issues. When they are open the food , service and atmosphere are great

The setting is absolutely beautiful. Their outdoor terrace overlooks a scenic garden area that looks like it might even host weddings--it's that picturesque. The ambiance is peaceful, charming, and ideal for a relaxing weekend meal, whether you've just finished a bike ride or are simply looking for a quiet dining spot in Marietta. The menu had a lot of fresh, well-crafted options, and the cocktail list was fun and inventive. I tried the lavender lemon drop, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the lavender complemented the classic citrusy flavor--an elegant twist on a traditional drink. For dinner, I went with the jalapeño cheddar burger, which was flavorful, juicy, and made with noticeably fresh ingredients. The fries were crisp and satisfying, while my mom and sister-in-law each opted for different sandwiches paired with house salads. They raved about the house-made vinaigrette, which had a fresh, tangy balance. We also started with the whipped feta dip and gouda mac and cheese--both were delicious. The feta was creamy and flavorful, and the mac had a rich, smoky bite to it. Our Entrees looked so delicious that I forgot to snap a photo beforehand. Service was excellent. Our waitress was knowledgeable about both the food and drink menus, and her suggestions were spot on. In terms of value, I was really impressed. With so many places these days serving tiny portions at high prices, Railroad House Inn stands out as a restaurant that delivers quality, fresh ingredients, and generous portions at a fair price. All in all, this was a five-star experience. Great food, beautiful location, warm service--I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area, especially after enjoying the nearby Northwest Lancaster County River Trail.

I craved some comfort food before the long ride home and I remembered The Hershey Pantry from my college days at PSU, which now feels like 138 years ago. We stopped in and had the most delightful, sweet waitress: Piper. The food was just what we wanted: filling and familiar. Hubs had a chicken caprese sammie and I had a reuben with turkey. Both hit the spot. I saw a coconut cake slice go by for another table and had to order one immediately to go. OMG - GET THE COCONUT CAKE. I had it as a late night snacky and it was tender with the right amount of coconut, and frosting that was light like an angel's wings. My only regret is that we live 3.5 hours away and can't come back anytime soon.

Where do I even begin?! Well, sit back, get a cuppa and relax - this is going to take some time!…read moreOctober 1st-October 5th - the weekend of my daughter's long-awaited wedding. We took over. Every room. At first, everyone was "omg - we're all a minimum of 3.5 hours away - WHY!!!" As Mother of the Bride, I had a lot of work on this wedding, and Connie was my first contact here. She made everything perfect from the onset. My husband and I visited about 3 weeks before the big day to lock down decorations with Connie in the amazing barn. She made us feel welcome & was so incredibly helpful. We left with a feeling of control, where before I was just frazzled. I knew she understood my vision for the decorations and would do everything she could to make it happen. The house itself is a magical place with rooms tucked through this door, past the games, to up one of the two staircases, to behind that door off the parlor, to down the stairs through the solarium! Tea and coffee are always available, along with lemonade and water. They offer a variety of teas and coffee pods for all flavor lovers, including decaf. From this room we open to the grand solarium. Completely surrounded by the 2nd-story deck and porch with an outdoor fireplace! Big windows allow for streaming sunlight all day - it sparkles! Tables set here are for the 100% delicious breakfasts Sally whips up in the kitchen! The deck/porch off this room lent itself to the cocktail hour for the rehearsal dinner, where everyone had the most fun petting some of the many cats that live on the property! The stairs leading down from the solarium held two more rooms. Anna's Garden room. The other is Houghtelin Hideaway Room - wow! This was our room. While not technically an "old" part of the house structure, it oozed aged refinement. A large king bed was the highlight with the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept in! I seriously need to know what it was - I peeked under the sheets and did see a foam topper, but that couldn't be the whole secret! A big 1920s oak 'set-back" dresser gave ample room to put our clothes away. smart lamps on either side of the bed lent some modern convenience with USB ports, plugs, and such. A beautiful vanity sat as a use for either a desk or a vanity with a large mirror over. There is also a bench with a large mirror over - plenty of "getting ready" mirrors. A closet with overhead light helped to hold out garments, bags, with hooks set extra high for gowns and such. The other side of the room held a huge leather sofa that you just sink into! Chairs and tables allow this area to be a nice conversation nook. The bathroom was a masterpiece in itself! A huge walk-in stone shower with both a hand-held wall-mounted spray as well as an overhead rain shower head. They also supply shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in a wall-mounted dispenser. The enormous soaking tub was well used by myself three times! The vanity was well lit with so much room for things underneath with open shelves. A door out of the room at back led to a small patio area with a table and chairs and a path that leads directly to the wedding garden. Everyone there did everything possible to make my daughter's wedding weekend a magical event, and I truly hope we didn't overwhelm them too much! Right to the moment we pulled out on Sunday morning, watching the house fade in the mirrors behinds us - we knew we would be back again and again. This place felt like home. And one last - if you are holding an even there is none better than Connie to help you! She is an amazing, helpful, joy-filled, exuberant, AWESOMEDANCER, of an event coordinator!!
