It was very unassuming from the street; we actually drove right past it and had to circle back around. But, the outside and inside were decorated beautifully! The staff was friendly and kind and provided great recommendations. The sticky date latte was like nothing I've ever tried- not too sweet, buttery and delicious! My friend and I shared the scallion pancake birria tacos and the baklava waffles. Oh my! They were both so incredible. The tacos had the best crunch, and the waffles were smothered in sweet fruit. Our family met her early on a Sunday for brunch. Luckily we beat the crowd, so service was quick. I had a mocha and their french toast. We arrived on a busy Sunday morning, but since it was just 2 people-we were seated immediately. They do have outdoor tables for dining, but it was too warm to eat outside today. We sat at a small bistro table which was ok...there was not very much room, but we didn't order a lot of food so it worked. After looking at the menu we were told to order our food by waiting in line at the counter/checkout. They gave us a table number and our food was brought to us pretty quickly. Especially considering how crowded the restaurant was around 11:30am. I liked the waffles-really good flavor. If I were a big eater I am not sure it would have been substantial enough because the waffles are small, but it was a good amount for me. My husband had the hot chicken sandwich and enjoyed that. For drinks, we got a got tea and a matcha. The matcha was very weak. It tasted more like warm milk than matcha. The tea was fine though. For food, the four of us got the truffle fires, the brekkie roll, the millennial fave with an egg, and pulled pork bennies. The brekkie roll was delicious! The flavors and textures were perfectly balanced. The truffle fries were also good, with a nice truffle flavor. The pulled pork bennies were ok, quite saucy and not a ton of flavor. However, the millennial fave was very difficult to cut, the halloumi cheese was not as tasty as other halloumi I've had in the past, and egg was not cooked how I requested it. Well, their food is very good, yet I am so disappointed that this morning I witnessed the servers pouring Libby pineapple juice into the pineapple juice jug, and they poured AriZona iced tea into the tea container as if to hide the fact they are serving garbage. Wow, like this was seriously the best meal we've had at a cafe in a long time. We stumbled into this place and while the service was a little slow in getting out one of our meals, the two bowls were absolutely delicious. The Turkish eggs were wholesome and spicy, but VERY heavy, so come ready to eat. I've been meaning to come here for a while. The ambience is lovely, full of light and plants (also for sale, I believe). I enjoyed the roasted lamb dish, which came with a perfectly crisped potato on the side and a poached egg. It was the right portion for me as someone who likes being full (but not bloated). The matcha lattes are delicious. My friend ordered a vegan burger, but since she recently discovered that she's also gluten free she didn't eat the brioche bun. The chef noticed that when he walked by and sweetly offered her greens with her meal. It was such a kind gesture. Very friendly staff. We will be back again to try everything else on the menu.
