We love the ambiance of the diner. This is a family owned restaurant. Came on a Sunday with only 10 min wait. We had a Belgian waffle with crispy bacon( just like we like it) and two eggs with ham& toast. Portions are large. We saw the hubcap pancake which is what they are known for. It is huge Great customer service! Highly recommend.

    Spinach tomato omelet.. yum!

Stopped in early on Valentine's Day weekend for a quick breakfast before the late morning crowds. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming, topping off my coffee periodically. The ambiance is a solid 50s diner experience, with the regulars congregating on the opposite side of the restaurant. The food tasted as good as the presentation! My omelet was not greasy at all, which was surprising for a diner. Would like to try the crepes and, of course, the hubcap pancake during return visits.

This was the Irish breakfast with corn beef hash her side was the fruit bowl another great choice

When you are pulling up, it does look like a small hole in the way diner. There are no issues with parking plenty of spaces. However, inside is small! This is an establishment my parents always wanted to try when they adventure to the lancaster area, and we decided it was time, and man, i am so glad we did!!! Nothing that we ordered was bad. The worst thing was my chicken tenders were fried a little too long but still tasted good. My dad ordered the ham loaf, which is served with a side of pineapple glaze it was very good. I ordered the chicken fingers with sweet potato fries and their homemade soup. Wow, that soup was absolutely amazing!!! 10 out of 10! My mom got the chicken salad club sammie, and wow, was it good! The chicken salad was homemade and tasted delicious Head on into this diner where the food is delicious and the staff is super nice.

Route 30 Diner GOOD: Nearly everything - Service (Alex) A+, the food was tasty and made as asked and the price was fair. BAD - Nothing much. You don't come to diners for atmosphere and Route 30Diner isn't an exception. Still, it was very clean. Route 30 Diner was a great choice. I avoided it for the tin exterior for many years but I was glad I gave it a chance and I gladly eat my own faulty assumption. My cuban panini was delish ( recommend 1000 island over mustard), the service was perfect (fast and friendly) and the price was very fair given the quality. Give this place a try, you will be pleased. NOTE: I came on a Thursday for a quiet experience and they now take credit cards - none of this "cash only" nonsense :)

Great old school diner. Great food and reasonable prices. Get the hubcap pancake it won't disappoint.

Great old-school pre-fab diner experience. Walking in, the decor reminds me of many old tin front diners. We were seated with no wait, even though the restaurant was very busy. The food was top tier, and cooked just right. The Hubcap Pancake was exactly that. As big as a hubcap, and super thick. My other half had the chicken corn chowder, which was a home run in flavor and texture. The service was spot on, not ignoring us, nor was our server intrusive. When the check was presented, paying was fast and easy, allowing for a quick departure.

Staying in Lancaster for about 2 days and had to come here. I ordered the hot meatloaf sandwich and mashed and gravy. My gf ordered the patty melt with fries and a sweet tea. All told ran us $32. Service from Daniel was perfect he was nice to us and very personable with his other customers some of whom seemed regulars. My sandwich was huge with 2 big slices of meatloaf between white bread and slathered with gravy. The Gf added mushrooms to her patty melt and she loved it. Would eat here again. Place felt inviting whether you were a regular or just passing through.

Great good and friendly service! After passing this place for years, I finally made it and it was worth the 40 minute drive!

The food was really good. My husband said the salmon was amazing. My chicken Parmesan was more like a fried chicken breast. It was very good but very thin. I did not taste any Parmesan cheese in the crust and was only given a few cold slices of shaved Parmesan on top. It would've been much better if the cheese had been melted. Our server was very polite. It did take a while for us to get recognized after we sat down and to get refills. But I would definitely go there again. The prices were very reasonable, much cheaper than I expected-under $25 for each entree. You also get a basket of bread. The portion sizes were very generous. I recommend this for a nice evening out without kids. Very nice place to eat with good food.

It was basically a restaurant with a huge gift shop, a toy store and restaurant that was so popular you'd have to wait an hour to get in. As a kid I loved it and I've develped a fondness for these touristy restaurants. Not tourist traps because those are usually overpriced and not good. Millers Falls into that category for me. It's a gigantic restaurant with several adjacent stores and lots of branded items. But the attraction of course is the smorgasbord. Yes, that's essentially a buffet if you're reading this from one of my home towns on the west coast or Southwest. The place is huge and you'd think it might be slow to get or confusing but it's extremely well run. There are multiple stations such as Salads, Local Favorites, Appetizers and the ubiquitous carving station. I'd say stay away from the carving station; the roast beef was dried and a little tough. But everything else was great and very fresh. Some highlights included brown butter noodles, chicken pot pie (sortof a dumpling) Cabbage bake and ham balls. All the regional PA specialties are really delicious. The pickled eggs, pickled beats and spicy gardinera were yummy too. A gooey oatmeal pie was a delightful and delicious desert, but there were dozens of deserts to choose from as well. The wait staff were friendly and super efficient. If you're visiting the Lancaster area it's well worth the visit.

Having…read morenever attended one of these buffets, I wasn't aware of all the idiosyncrasies connected with participation. When we sat down we were immediately approached by a very pleasant smiling server. Her first question was whether or not we had ever frequented Miller's before? We said that this was our first time. Question #2 -What can I get you to drink? She then rattled off all kinds of soft drinks. We asked for a raspberry tea and an unsweetened tea. She kept our glasses full throughout our lunch. I was surprised to see a charge of $3.99 per drink added to our bill. Now I don't consider myself cheap. BUT, please say "would you care to order some beverages? Since this is your first time drinks are not included" The food was possibly a step above a college cafeteria. When i asked one of the food attendants "where's the beef"? he replied only on weekends. If you like pork and ham you're in good hands- they had what looked like a compressed turkey breast as well. The potato soup was very good and the fried chicken acceptable. So i was looking forward to the desserts. I love cherry pie so i took a piece and a piece of yellow cake with chocolate frosting.. You have to understand they cut 10-12 pieces out of a pie, small servings. After one bite of each as i pushed them both aside my wife had a stunned look. Knowing they are my favorites she was shocked i wasn't eating them. They were absolutely not worth the calories. BTW the coffee was lukewarm and the cup size was 4oz. at best. I'm glad i got the Amish Country buffet out of my system and hope I saved you a trip and the $80+ we paid with the tip.

I read the reviews for Lancaster Brewing (near a farm, cow, covered bridge, they serve pretzels, horse & buggys are nearby). When I saw that there was a bartender named Boots, I knew we had to visit. Hubby had already read about Lancaster Brewing and we were happy to visit. You can't tour the actual brewery anymore but the manger and bartenders are great about discussing the brewing process and styles. There were some interesting seasonal beers. We could have moved to a table but we enjoyed chatting with Boots. He is easy going and quite knowledgeable about everything on tap. The menu has sandwiches, pizza and pub food. My only wish is that they include fried pickles. The place is fun. The retail items are limited but you can buy a six pack for about $13 that you mix and match yourself. Growlers are also available. Their stouts are indulgent and well-executed; the Fresh Roasted Peanut Butter Ale is a fun, off-beat twist that's worth a try at least once; and the food (especially the crab dip and spicy wing option with Creepin' Dog Hot Sauce) rounds it all out so the experience doesn't feel like "just beer." If I were you and planning a visit, I'd start with a flight including the Double Chocolate Milk Stout + Fresh Roasted Peanut Butter Ale, grab the crab dip and maybe some wings with Creepin' Dog sauce -- that combo sums up everything great about what Lancaster does right.

We had ridden the Strasburg Railroad earlier…read morein the day and were looking for a place to eat when I fired up Yelp and found the Tavern by Spring House Brewing. It is located on East Main Street in downtown Strasburg. The inside consists of a large main room with an L shaped bar, a number of TVs, and then a second dining room off to the side. Since no one was seated in the second room and we had twin four year olds with us, we chose that space. Unfortunately the TV in that room was broken, so we were not able to watch the Steelers game that was on. Aside from that, the room itself had a cozy and slightly eclectic feel. There was a decorated Christmas tree lit up in the corner near the staircase which gave the space a warm seasonal vibe. The walls were decorated with brewery signs and beer themed banners, and a bright yellow decorative mantel stood out against the darker wall colors. Overall it felt casual and welcoming and worked well for a family dinner. For dinner on this evening I went with the Buffalo Chicken Cheesesteak while my wife chose the K Town Mac Bowl. The menu described my wife's dish as three cheese cavatappi pasta with smoked pork slaw, Korean BBQ drizzle, sesame seeds, and scallions. My sandwich was described as smoked chicken, American cheese, buffalo sauce, gorgonzola, onion frizzles, ranch drizzle, and a hoagie roll. I thought my sandwich ended up being good, especially since it was chock full of chicken. The hoagie roll was toasted and buttered nicely and added a good crunch, which the onion frizzles helped reinforce. The gorgonzola added a nice pungent pop of flavor. While I did get some buffalo flavor, I definitely could have used more. Because of that, the sandwich was a little on the drier side despite having cheese, buffalo sauce, and ranch drizzle. My fries were seasoned and had a nice texture, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. As I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At Spring House Brewing, a flight consists of four beers and I chose the Cucumber Salamander, Backroads Shadows, Daily Planet, and Love and Rockets. The Love and Rockets ended up getting mixed up and I was instead served Grease the Poles. I started with the Cucumber Salamander, which is a sour. It was a bit tart right from the start and that carried through to the finish, with a little extra pucker at the end. Up next was Backroads Shadows, a lager with a crisp, clean start before the malts came through on the finish. This felt like a really good easy drinking beer. Third was Daily Planet, an IPA that had citrus up front followed by a solid hop presence that carried through the finish. Last was Grease the Poles, a pale lager that started off very clean before finishing with some lighter hop notes. Out of the bunch, the Cucumber Salamander was definitely my favorite. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Our food and drinks were good, and I would be interested in trying more of their beers.

Unfortunately, the au ju did not make it any better. The Cole slaw had a good flavor and was not sweet, so that was the best part of the food.
