I love coming here! I originally came here with a friend years ago and forgot about it because it was far away from me at the time. Once I moved closer and rediscovered it many other coffee shops just don't compare. They take pride in the drinks they make, ensuring they stay on top of both the coffee trends (like oat milk) and the foundations of great coffee. They ensure each drink is exactly what you asked for and are always happy to help. The only thing I could maybe knock them for is that I wish the coffee was a little stronger but that's nothing an extra shot can't fix. read more

This place isn't terrible but definitely not my favorite. I loved the name and thought it would be fun to go. My friend and I ordered their seasonal drinks and both thought they were pretty average. The peppermint patty drink and the pumpkin latte both had everything settling at the bottom and we didn't finish our drinks. I don't know if we were suppose to drink it fast or constantly keep stirring it. The inside of the shop is really cool though. read more

Great Cafe, guys! Great tasting double espresso for $2.50, in a real ceramic cup. They use real glass for complimentary water. Nice, relaxing vibe, free WiFi, was able to get work done. Opening at 6am was a plus. Staff were really nice and accommodating. read more

I am presently sitting at a little table inside of WhereUBean, catching up on yelp reviews. I have a rather significant backlog of reviews and tonight, I actually have a little bit of extra time to get a few done. I like this unassuming coffee shop: it's quiet, clean, and friendly. The baristas don't bother you, they chat with you if you want, and they're happy to accommodate small requests, like trying to determine which piece of apple cake is the biggest for you to buy. My latte is pretty smooth, the espresso not bitter, and the apple cake is a delightful fall treat, chock full of apples. Also, today's win: cake samples! Wifi is usually pretty good, but tonight, it seems to be a little unreliable. It's working for now, though. Support small, local businesses! read more

Standard, bland strip small - Punny but not funny name - Ok vibe but not special. So why I have we bothered to go here several times? 2 important reason: bean selection and quality pours. They serves Intelligencia Coffee (one of the few remaining places in town that do)and EVERY drink is made with craftsmanship and consistency. You can have quality beans and shitty "baristas". WhereUBean thankfully focuses on the two most important things about coffee even when the rest of the place seems like it could end up being one of those knockoff strip mall coffee shop cliches. Cudos to you guys for surprising us with the quality. read more

Nothing to write home about. After eating at Spinato's, we decided to spend some time relaxing and kicking back for a late night dessert with coffee/tea. I got the Earl Grey tea, which was very weak in taste. My boyfriend got a vanilla latte and a slice of carrot cake.The cake was so-so, and the coffee was nothing special. Staff was friendly enough, but I was really hoping for something a little more memorable. Bummer :( read more

This is a really great find. I heard about this place through the flyers I get in the mail back in November. I was curious and went to go, but I seriously couldn't find it for the life of me! So I turned around and went home. It wasn't until a week ago, when I received another flyer that I was adamant about finding this place, and so I yelped it and read reviews and found out it was camouflaged with the "sell us your gold" sign! I'm from Chicago and so yes, intelligentsia coffee is familiar to me. I loved the place and the staff are very helpful and knowledgable about their coffees. I look forward to coming back now I know where it is! read more

The BEST coffee place I've been to in my entire life! MashaAllah! The quality of the coffee is excellent!!!! The lattes are delicious!! I get an iced sea salte caramel latte with oat milk. WhereUBean feels like a new coffee shop, for better or worse. WhereUBean is a small coffee shop in a small strip mall. The location is rather ideal - it's perfectly located and rather convenient - so it'll definitely get a lot of attention. The interior is rather simple - a few Ikea tables and chairs and some assorted wares - but that's okay for the most part. I'd say WhereUBean is not as comfortable as your average Starbucks, but comes close. There is WiFi, plenty of seating, and outdoor space, so this could be a good study spot. The espresso I had was rather nice and I genuinely enjoyed it. Espresso is hard to mess up, but thankfully it was nice. The pastries available were definitely on the older and saran wrapped side, but still managed to be rather tasty and interesting - I particularly liked the cheesecake pastry, which had some awesome sort of brownie interior. All in all, not a bad place - seems like it just needs a good influx of customers and cash. read more

The coffee/beverages are excellent and of high quality. If you are looking for a luxurious experience of morning beverages and even freshly baked goods, this is the perfect stop for you. The shop is locally owned by Ayesha (sp ?) and son Zakkir (sp ?). Zakkir always greets me by my first name and with a warm smile. Ayesha remembers my name, too. They both carry incredible knowledge and customer service skills. The staff under their care are also very knowledgeable and on-top of their jobs. Support your local business! read more

Still consistently the best coffee shop in the neighborhood! They have kept to serving Intelligentsia coffee which is great. Despite visiting Chicago recently with the original stores (and slightly pretentious baristas), we agreed WhereUBean was still going to be our go-to for coffee. The baristas are super nice, patient, and really good with recommendations. My normal is a caramel macchiato but I tried their toddy today (with simple syrup and 2% milk) and it was very smooth with a hint of sweetness. Looks like I'm changing my regular! My husband ordered the dirty chai and found it to be a good strong chai flavor with just a hint of coffee. Dirty chais were my usual drink in college from Starbucks, when I was just wee and didn't know any better about coffee. It was often a mixture of sweet from the chai syrup and a shot of a bitter from the espresso (of the 2-4 shots I would add to a venti). Thinking back and comparing it to what we bought today, that was just nasty. This dirty chai is smooth and the chai seriously tastes like it was brewed and the espresso is not crazy burnt so only a hint of the coffee (but the YUS-ness of the caffeine) comes through . FYI, reasonable prices as well - $7 and change for two mediums! All in all, a wonderful coffee shop in the area! read more

I needed to get stuff done this morning and wasn't being very productive at my friends place, so I grabbed my computer and strolled out here. I drove by this place the first day I was here and was like "oh thank goodness it's not a Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts!" Don't get me wrong, those two places serve their purpose, but can be cramped and busy at times. I like to try to hit up small independent places like this when I can, and was more then happy to come in here today. When I arrived, I loved how the place was set up. Very cozy with ample seating. Tables and couches lined the side of the shop with the coffee counter in the same spot it's always been. There wasn't anyone there, so I was able to place my order at the counter right away. The guy who helped me was really cute, and after asking a few questions and chit chatting, I placed my order for a hot mocha. It came out in a really cute cup with a saucer, and had tons of whipped cream. Yay whipped cream! I did some internet surfing and made some calls back home and was able to get through my stuff in no time without being interrupted. Prices here don't seem to be cheap, and I would say in general, their along the lines of Starbucks. BUT, the difference is I feel like I'm supporting the small coffee business! Overall, I really enjoyed my time here. By the way, you have to have a code to get on the internet, and it requires a purchase. The guy at the counter will print a password out for you. I don't know if there's a time limit, but no free internet surfing here! Just an FYI! read more

Love this place. The rich coffee is wonderful and the snacks/pastries are absolutely amazing!! The staff is fun! We come here whenever we're in the area. **I have to add to this. We go there about 3 times a month. My lattes are rich and even at the end of the drink still taste like coffee. Many lattes I get at different places only taste like milk by the time the ice is melted. But the biggest draw would be the wonderful pastries and sweet deserts!! Goodness they are soooo good!! read more

Came in to get a coffee and study. Stood at the counter for 5 minutes and nobody was there. Sat down assuming the server was in the restroom. Still waiting. I've been here for 20 minutes with 6 other people. I assume they are customers but maybe one of them works here. Only time will tell. Should I make my own coffee? Edit: It's been 10 minutes and no help. I think the server is playing chess with his friend. He just started the music on Apple TV. Edit 2: Someone else came in and my suspicions were correct. Guy playing chess is the server and just chose not to acknowledge me. We have made eye contact a few times, so maybe he just doesn't like the cut of my jib. I've been here about 35 minutes total. Still studying but won't be ordering. First time and last time here. read more

Fast forward 2 years and my feelings are the same, great place and now open at 6 am so super handy for a great cup of coffee 6-9pm, They've also added home made cake that is delicious. A must stop. Serve inteligista coffee. Excellent!!!! And not snooty nor "hip" just good coffee and sweets. read more

#Whereubean coffee is good coffee. Based off just espresso drinks, the Americano and Cubano are better than Starbucks but average for an independent coffee shop (says my coffee snob hubby). Found this place by accident but so glad that I did. They have this delight called Nutella Latte and it is delicious. They also offer pastries, teas and the like, its a very calm environment, it was almost dead silent event though the place was half full. The people are very friendly and it is in a great location with plenty of parking. I'm just sad that it's not near my home or I would be here everyday. Starbucks who?? read more

Had an iced latte and it hit the spot. They have soymilk, almond milk (unsweetened and sweetened options), and coconut milk which is great if dairy effs you up like me. The guy working was super helpful and explained the difference between an Americano, Breve, Latte, and Cappucino without being condescending or anything like some other hipster coffee places are sometimes. Such a cute coffee bar :) The owner was working when I stopped by the other day and poured a delicious cold brew. He was very kind and had my drink ready in only a couple of minutes. I'm glad I looked to my right and saw the treats they had in the glass box - I got the banana pudding since it's a favorite and I was not disappointed! Delicious coffee, baked treats (made in-house), and the best atmosphere! We had them cater our wedding for iced lattes during cocktail hour and then nighttime coffee service (with hot chocolate for the kids!) along with breakfast trays for the bridal party while we got ready. Our guests RAVED about how good everything was and we were so pleased with the service and quality. The whole team really helped make our wedding such a perfect day! read more

In 2013, the #WhereUBean story began when our founder Imraan set out on a journey to bring the best possible coffee to the Phoenix area. After tireless research, a family trip unknowingly became a gateway to making this happen when he was taken to Intelligentsia Coffee in Chicago, and realized that THIS brand of coffee combined with the vision of a WhereUBean coffeehouse would resonate with the Phoenix community. Thus, WhereUBean was launched as your coffeehouse brewing only the highest quality direct trade coffees from Intelligentsia and a selection of flavorful teas. Over the years, WhereUBean has grown to become the place to come for quality espresso drinks and a line of delightful baked goods all made in house. We now also offer breakfast burritos, made in house too. All our coffee and tea drinks can be enjoyed iced or hot. C'mon, it's Arizona!

While I was just the baker since WhereUBean opened in 2013, I recently took on the role as owner and am very excited to continue serving our amazing customers with the best coffee, tea and baked goods. My family has been involved with WhereUBean since the very beginning, and together, we are building this coffeeshop into the kind of business that Phoenix can call family. We are open for inside seating as well as outdoor seating, with online ordering available to allow for you to order our amazing espresso drinks, teas and baked goods to go and with minimal contact should you prefer that. I considered getting the strawberry matcha, but got the mango matcha instead because my friend had tried it before and really liked it. I was happy with my decision, as the mango tasted very fresh. They had a few sweet and savory pastries, but I didn't try any. We sat on the comfy, cushioned chairs and chatted for nearly two hours! It's a relatively small space and can get pretty quiet at times, so I hope we weren't too loud lol. I would definitely come back here again. Note: They're not open on Sundays. We had planned to go on a Sunday a couple of weeks before, then realized that it wasn't open.

Recently I was in need of a weekday afternoon boost and decided to check them out. The menu is fairly simple- single origin Ethiopian coffee in different versions to drink, and some snacks. The owner was super nice to explain what differentiates Ethiopian coffee than others... even gave me a hot shot of espresso to take to go with my iced coffee! As someone who basically drinks one cup a day, I definitely felt the caffeine in my blood the rest of my afternoon ::insert twitchy eye::. Definitely way less bitter than my usual iced coffee... and more potent. Hadas is in a former day spa in the northwest corner shopping plaza of Elliot and 48th much closer to Cactus Jack's than 48th St. They offer wifi and chill vibes for those who want to study/work. Would be a nice spot to meetup with friends too! Hope more people check them out and keep caffeinated by them!

They recommended me the dirty Thai tea and I liked it. however, it almost took 20 mins to get the avocado ham toast ready. Actually I initially ordered avocado turkey toast but they did NOT have turkey. Later on I found out there were no napkins. They gave me a bunch of napkins afterwards which is very nice. Generally, I think they have the positive energy and friendly service. However, somehow I don't think they are fully ready for the business.
