If you're thinking of going to this place for dinner.... You're missing out if you don't!…read more Place is great! Bar, atmosphere, service... it's never a bad time! They have a wood fired grilled shrimp appetizer.. My jaw about hit the table, knocked the ball out of the park. I've been back for it, ordered it online... the chef, this guy doesn't miss! We will be back happily a few times each month.

I visited with my parents during their last trip to town since the restaurant happened to be nearby. Upon walking in, the decor felt a little confusing. The menu clearly presents the restaurant as a grill, but the interior still seemed heavily influenced by what may have previously been an Asian restaurant space. The renovation didn't feel entirely cohesive, which made the atmosphere a bit disjointed. That said, the staff was very friendly, and we were seated quickly. Throughout the meal, however, there seemed to be an underlying sense of stress among the staff that was noticeable despite their efforts to remain professional and attentive. It created a slightly uncomfortable atmosphere at times. For dinner, we ordered the filet with broccoli and French fries, while another guest ordered a salad. Unfortunately, the salad had to be sent back because it arrived with blue cheese despite a requested omission due to an allergy. Thankfully, the issue was corrected. The filet itself was cooked to the requested temperature, and overall the food was fine, but nothing particularly stood out as memorable. Everything was acceptable, though not especially remarkable. Overall, Firebird Grill may work well for larger groups or families looking for a convenient, casual meal, but with so many standout restaurants in Nashville, it's probably not a place I'd personally revisit.

This place exists atop its perch overlooking Elysian Fields (the resting place of the souls of virtuous Krogers and Jiffy Lubes) This bar, situated on a little hill next to a couple of gas stations, is a little unassuming - I've been there on various occasions the past few years, most recently with a group called Beer Church Nashville. Every time something new and wonderful happened. The beer selection isn't that great, the music is too loud when there's a band, the place works or it doesn't for you... you'll know it after a beer, but not before. It's one of those places where I only went to see a friend, and would have backed right on out had I not met a row of rather misjudged people. The pool tables were ok but not fabulous the last time i was there, the bartenders were very nice, I was told repeatedly that they had new management and to give them a try - however i did not know what the old management had done differently or wrong - that's some lore I'll have to dig up some day. The place has pretty decent parking, it also has pretty eagle-eyed cops who patrol the corner so really, play it safe and steal a police car before going and don't go with broken headlights or taillights (my old roommate did, she got searched for 45 minutes as evidently admitting you are going to that bar and have not been drinking is suspicious) It's not a place to bring a date, well, not my place to bring a date. The crowd's been drunk, half naked, rowdy, and all-about-to-fight but nothing ever seems to happen that's bad. At least when I've been. Your reaction will vary, I tend to dig dive bars that are dive bars not not hipster hideaways, and although the Parliament smokers would be welcome here, PBR is generally drunk by the patrons due to generations of selective taste breeding.

Now under new management and renamed Jack's Tavern, this dive bar off of Nolensville has an…read moreinteresting mix of people and entertainment. Karaoke is offered and some nights there's a band. There are two pool tables that only cost .75 a game. Also they've redone the back patio and you can rent that out for parties. The owner (Jack) is a great guy and Dave (the acting manager) is quite helpful. First night we went in he bought us our first round and gave us drink tickets for when we come back.

There are plenty of dining options in our area, but none have been as consistently delicious as The Rutledge. Every visit reminds us why it's become one of our favorite spots. Part of me selfishly wants to keep it a secret, but after five years of great meals and experiences, I felt it was time to let everyone know just how amazing this place really is. Highly recommend!

I was talking up this drink I originally had there, but also had at the sister location in DT Nashville that they called to get the recipe and surprised me at the table with after raving about it (the international) the waitress proceeded to argue that I had the name wrong it was a pretty gross experience. Do not look at any online menus wait until you get to the restaurant. We had a colleague who is celiac we asked about a separate menu (you would have thought I asked if they did brain surgery) because there are no markers on the regular menu, the waitress proceeds to lecture the person on what they should order at restaurants... She was a different individual interacting with the mens end of the table than she was with the lady's side. We opted to share several things. Thankfully the food is still on point. And it is still beautiful. The drinks we ordered were tasty. That is why this review got a 3 and not a 2.
