One thing to know before you go: they don't have their liquor license yet, so there are no cocktails or liquor right now. They do have beer and wine, so you can still have a drink, just don't show up expecting a full bar. Hopefully the liquor license comes soon because it would definitely add to the experience. I had the Chicken Street Corn which was marinated grilled chicken, street corn, jalapeño, queso fresco, Cholula aioli, guacamole, sour cream, and tortilla strips and it was genuinely very good. Where they need work is the operation. Check-in is pretty chunky, and there are still some bugs to work out. The building and facilities are clearly not the problem. Now it's up to management to get the employees trained, organized, and consistently doing their jobs. And that's the encouraging part: the hard stuff is already there. Great facility, good pickleball, a fun concept, and solid food. Get the staff and operations running the way the facility deserves to be run, add the full bar when the license comes through, and this could easily be a 5-star experience. Honestly, I was just relieved we found a spot within easy walking distance. We arrived a few minutes late unfortunately and the lights were already a little dim so I couldn't see the place as well as I wanted. Our tickets and IDs were checked as we walked in. The venue is located on the second floor above another business. The steps are a little steep to watch your heels if you're wearing them! Inside there's a small stage and a nice bar. Seating is pretty limited but for our concert the vibe was definitely super high energy/party focused so we didn't mind standing up to bounce and dance to the music. The bar has a nice array of specialty cocktails. I was very impressed with the bartender, Marc, who was attentive, fun, and hardworking. He even went out of his way to help the performer when a few small details went awry on the stage. I don't drink super often and what I wound up ordering didn't taste quite like how I'd hoped it would, but I'm more than willing to chalk that up to my relative inexperience and general ambivalence toward alcohol. The sound/acoustics were great and the whole place was bumpin! I would advise bringing ear plugs to protect your hearing if you're headed to a loud concert -- you'll inevitably be fairly close to the performer and therefore it can easily be suuuuuper loud with the mics and amps and whatnot. I had a great time but will try to remember mine next time! The only main drawback was it got hot inside super fast. We stood by the open entryway for much of the conference and even that airflow wasn't enough to keep us from leaving very, very sweaty lol. Bring water! While we didn't order food, we did drink quite a bit and found the drinks to be pretty strong, which is good given the fact that your drinks will likely average anywhere from $12-$15. We were fortunate enough to have several performers for this event and the quality acoustics combined with the spacious area to dance, which was mostly line dancing for this crowd, was a nice feature. I am so used to being overcrowded in places like this, but I was actually able to get a line dance or two in without stepping on too many feet. Bartender service was prompt and friendly, but the number of security and bouncers at the front tells me that this place must get rowdy from time to time. That being said, this would definitely be a spot. I would check out in the future.

The Pepper Pot (Jamaican jerk) is absolutely amazing - probably my favorite single stall in the whole complex! Pizza Lolo (one of the brick-and-mortar spots) was fantastic, incredible bake, really fresh ingredients. Chivanada, the Colombian truck, does great empanadas and snacks. Also on rotation: a Korean spot, a taco truck, and Retrograde, a popular coffee truck that I haven't tried yet. For drinks, Birdies is a super cute wine-by-the-glass spot, and Fortunate Sun is a cocktail bar that leans tropical. There's also a little vintage store and an ice cream shop tucked into the brick-and-mortar side. Parking is the one real drawback, but admittedly, it's a common East Nashville problem, not unique to this spot. There's a tiny gravel lot with 2 hours free via Park Happy, otherwise you're parking in the neighborhood a couple blocks out, and if that's full your remaining options mean paying and a pretty harrowing walk across Gallatin Road. I debated knocking off a star for this, but the place is popular enough right now that a parking headache basically comes with the territory; didn't feel fair to ding the eatery itself for it. Journey, right? I'm a metalhead primarily, but enjoy quite a few other types. Not a huge fan of country unless it's funny, but that's another story. I checked out the hours on Yelp, naturally, because where else, and noticed there hadn't been a review since around 2015. I'm about to rectify that... It's only getting 4 stars due to parking. It's not marked and you guess that all the cars directly across the street are PROBABLY where you should go... and once you get inside, and sign tells you that it IS correct. Confusing. Would you be towed? I have a handicap tag and I parked in front of the building to the right of them next to two very large pickup trucks. Wasn't towed, no ticket. Thank God. Fluke? Lucky? Don't know... When we went up the weird little steps... not exactly handicap accessible... it's a fairly dark crowded place with a wide aisle separating tables from the check-in area, a small serving area, the long bar, more tables the stage, and access to the upstairs seating area. The lady that checked us in verified Kim's name in a book even though she ordered her tickets through some app... didn't even need to scan the QR code! We were given our little bracelets and went to find a table... hopefully... as it fills up FAST there! However, as soon as we got the bracelet on, we were headed past two young ladies who gave us FREE PASSES TO NEXT WEEK'S GUNS 'N ROSES TRIBUTE! Yep! Have bracelets to get into that for free, thanks to Jadan Geren and Rachel Dame. Thanks, dolls! We will try to make it! Thankfully, a sweet married couple by the names of Shannon and Brandon had a couple of free chairs at their table, so we had a place to sit, and it was close to both bar and stage. A pole was kind of in the way, but... sitting. Table. Nice couple. Thankful. The prices aren't too bad. Bottled beer was $4.50, mixed drinks I'm not sure of as I was the designated driver. Bottled water $1... fries $2.50, onion rings $2.99. Combos like burgers and fries $8... grilled cheese and fries I think was $7 or $7.50... they have things like fried pickles or cheese sticks for about $8... sorry I couldn't get a pic of the paper sheet that was a menu... ours was wrinkled, and they're a dark wine color... The opening act, which wasn't advertised, wasn't bad if you like a predominantly country, raspy voiced acoustic guitar kinda guy. His name was "Bobby". Just... Bobby. Was told he played in Nashville 6 days a week. I can see it. He's pretty good. Just not what anyone wanted to hear for a couple of hours while waiting for a Journey tribute... and I heard people complaining left and right. And yawning. Yep. Yawning. It was the fact raspy voices don't have much range, and after about an hour he was beyond monotonous... Once Resurrection came on stage? It got hopping!!! The bar had pretty much run out of food during Boring Bobby, so people need to eat EARLY. The acoustics are pretty good, the bass beat even vibrates the floor! The employees are ALL really nice. Customers/venue goers (whatever you want to call the people that bought tickets) are pretty nice, but have no compunction whatsoever of blocking your view. None. The open floor in front of the stage isn't that big and they will cram themselves on it or block the aisle leading to it, making it hard to get to your table if it's close to the stage and you went to the bar or the restrooms located to the right of the bar. Oh well. Concert. Happy rocking people. Deal with it, right? I'll update if Kim and I make it to the GNR tribute...

It's a good sized club and they play a lot of good music. I've heard everything from funk to edm to hip hop. They bring in many great local artists to showcase their skills all the time. It's a good place to hang out and hear some good tunes. I have a blast every time I go.
