I feel so grateful for the hard work that Damon Goude, co-owner of Regalo Design, put in to make my wedding the most beautiful and memorable day of my life. Damon is super friendly and easy to talk to, but he was simultaneously able to manage our huge families in the rehearsal and day of so that things could proceed according to plan. We actually stayed on schedule! Unheard of. He got us through the rehearsal quickly, efficiently, but without missing any details so that everyone knew where they were supposed to be, when, and what to do. It took all of the pressure off of us to get everyone in line, which if you have ever had a wedding, you know is a giant relief. Damon met with me a couple weeks before the wedding, went through my two huge totes of items I wanted displayed at the wedding, verified that the decorations they were providing were what I wanted, finalized the flowers (which were the most beautiful flower arrangements/bouquets/etc. that I have ever seen at a wedding), and generally made me feel calm that everything would be taken care of. He came early the day of the wedding to decorate. I can't explain how beautiful everything was! Once I get the photos back from our photographer, I will upload some highlights, because it was magical what he did. He decorated the arch under which we were married, it looked straight out of a fancy magazine cover. Damon moved everything along according to plan for the ceremony and reception, and stayed to make sure that everything was cleaned up and our gifts and other belongings were securely stored. I felt so calm due to his hard work, he really took care of everything so that we could relax and enjoy our special day. Regalo Design is perfect for couples like us who have a budget that needs to be followed, their prices are extremely reasonable (the best I found in Nashville, and I did my research). I give them my highest recommendation, I can't believe how lucky we got that we found them. I'll forever be grateful for all that they did!

Their first excursion to the South--not counting TX). I knew I had to go but the tickets were sold out, there were clear instructions on the website about getting there earlier for standby, and it worked! Everyone was pleasant and things went smoothly, it's on the edge of town but this is nothing compared to my Chicago hometown where it takes twice as long just to go 4 miles away. They have a fun swervy ectoplasmic bar serving drinks in the back and art exhibits lining the halls. The performance space was in a big warehouse with bleachers, comfortable seats, not the best sightline but good enough. Finally the performance was INCREDIBLE, that's a whole separate review, but it far exceeded what I had heard about it. To known that this place can draw the likes of Wooster is testament to their importance to the American Arts scene.

I had my wedding at The Lodge this past June. They had just opened this venue up as a wedding venue…read morea few months before. Let me first say the venue is gorgeous! When my now husband and I visited The Lodge for the first time, we knew this is where we wanted to get married. We loved that it was a completely open venue and we could use any caterer, bartender, florist, etc. that we wanted to use. They also offered a day of coordinator. Brandy was my day of coordinator, and she was awesome! She kept us on time and made sure we did everything we wanted. My florist didn't leave my toss bouquet so she picked flowers from their garden for me! She was awesome!!! Why the 3 stars? Everything between when I have them my payment to when Brandy took over was not fun. Before booking, we were constantly in contact with Holly. She answered our calls, she met with us, etc. Once I have them the payment, she went completely ghost. She never returned or phone calls and barely returned our emails. Maybe something was going on in her life, but she should have told us to contact someone else. We literally drove to the site unannounced so that we could talk to someone. The staff there was extremely friendly, including Holly when we could talk to her. They always accommodated us when we showed up, but it was stressful due to the lack of communication. Overall the experience was positive, and the venue is gorgeous! I hope with a several more months under their belt as a wedding venue will help them with the lack of communication issues.

Our wedding was a destination, so we worked very closely with Kayla Jolly our coordinator, as well…read moreas some other contacts at The Lodge. From the beginning we (bride and groom) fell absolutely in love with this building and the grounds. However, being from out of town it is a little hard to find as the venue is not well marked and actually sits on the land for the YMCA. It also functions as the Nelson Andrews Leadership Lodge which led to some confusion at times. We worked with Kayla for 15 months planning every detail of our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, indoor reception, and sparkler send-off. Needless to say on the day-of, a late bus pickup and poor weather basically sent our plans into chaos and Kayla worked very hard to give us an equally beautiful event from what we had planned. She really held it all together, and held me together too! The Lodge works only with Dream Events catering, and at first we weren't thrilled to receive this news. However, Kayla and her team made sure Dream knew about our concerns and when we were able to meet with them, they were sure to go above and beyond for some dietary needs, and the many changes that occurred. Since this was a destination wedding, Kayla helped me to select a vendor for rental items, and then she managed the relationship for me, which I appreciated as well. I am thankful that The Lodge selected such reliable partners for us to work with, another example of how well this venue is managing their business. Overall we did have some ups and downs but we are so thrilled with our friends at the Lodge, and can't wait to receive our wedding pictures back. We highly recommend this venue.

We decided to not use a wedding planner, and Elizabeth and Samantha were top notch helping us plan such a large undertaking. At our first meeting with Elizabeth she had a folder with recommended vendors. We felt the best part about Houston Station is that ALL of the vendors are in the building, they are used to working seamlessly together, and Elizabeth has long standing relationships with them. At our planning meetings, Elizabeth and the vendors were finishing our sentences! That is how much they anticipated our needs. By the end of the wedding, we felt like Elizabeth and the staff were family. Elizabeth is no nonsense, runs a tight ship, and has the biggest heart of gold. She is a HUGE Alabama fan, and my husband is a HUGE Auburn fan. Of course we were married on the Iron Bowl. Elizabeth set up the grooms room with a TV for the game so my husband could watch it until the last minute. Even in the face of Alabama's loss to Auburn, she knew how special it was for my husband, and she graciously played along. Clearly, I can't say enough about the venue and the people. If you're looking for an upscale way to do it yourself, go to Houston Station. It is worth every cent.

Located in a converted warehouse Jeff and his business partners have created the ideal location that is tucked away south of downtown. From the outside, Houston Station doesn't appear to be anything at all. Was I surprised when I walked up the stairs! A mix of exposed wood and brick generates a very comfortable feel for this space which accommodates about 250 to 300 people. Forget all of the fussy rules, Jeff who is the facility manager emphasizes the flexibility and versatility of the event space. The space is handicap accessible and when you rent, you get the building for the entire day. A great kitchen and private rooms for preparation enhance the characteristics of the station to make other vendors happy. Also, a fantastic little outdoor terrace would be a fabulous place to chill in warmer weather. The possibilities are seriously endless!
