Got super efficient service + fair price from Dave to install a tubeless tire on my Xiaomi m365 scooter. I texted Dave around 3pm asking for a quote for service + parts, he replied in 20min, and we agreed to meet at 5.30pm. Dave got the job done under 45min. I highly recommend this small business

Came out to meet me since I wasn't able to go to the house. Great service and didn't mind me asking questions!

UPDATE 09/24/20: One thing to make sure of is to ask for a realistic timeline for the repairs. I dropped off my scooter to him recently and it took a week and a half longer to get it back. Granted, there were a ton of emergencies that happened to him during this time, but just make sure to also get his number so you can keep in contact about progress. I also, unfortunately, took the scooter to him to add solid tires, and the scooter came back with a scraping noise on the rear hub motor. I don't know what caused it but he and another mechanic were unable to resolve the issue. My scooter now sounds really scary when riding. He also did not replace the rear tube screw cap when he refilled the tires. This is a minor issue, but he didn't respond when I inquired about picking it up. He also forgot to add back in the rubber lining beneath the metal plate that "waterproofs" the main board when he was looking at the innards. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Great work from Dave! Honest man trying to get a repair shop for the e-transit community going right in the heart of Downtown San Jose. Dave can do full service on all kinds of scooters and has absolutely the best pricing. I took my Turbowheel Dart (Zero 9) to him for some work and he kept an open line of communication with me the entire time he was servicing. Super informative and really great to find a true and experienced electric scooter technician down here in San Jose. He tightened every loose bolt, cleaned out the rust from my motor, and adjusted and improved several of the settings for my scooter, all without asking. Great service overall.

My scooter returned to me, I dropped it off all together.

Scooter didn't even last 3 months after David replaced the rear tire. Don't regret the decision if anyone decides to try this spot out.

As other reviews mentioned, it's a small shop, but that meant I could chat with the technician while he worked and he could offer me various options. He replaced the rear inner tube and added a liner and sealant, plus added sealant to the front tire (I would've had him add a liner to the front tire, too, but he only had one in the right size). I'd never had the bike serviced since I bought it online 6 months ago, so he checked and tightened various loose connections. He showed me some basic maintenance procedures like how to lubricate the chain (easy when you know how, but as a biking n00b, I appreciated the lesson). If I need work done in the future, I'll be a happy repeat customer.

They do have plenty of options in terms of parts. They also have some other accessories as well like phone cases. There were only two staff member. Because of the tighter space, it can be a bit difficult to see where the line to get help is and where people are just browsing. The staff here is not bad. They were really helpful to my friend who needed a piece removed off his bike. They were kind enough to give it a try even though it was going to be a tough piece to remove. They were able to do it and the staff was kind to not charge but we paid something for the help. Overall the place can feel a bit cluttered but they do a have a lot of bike options. The staff is kind but the layout does make it harder to know if you are in line or the person in front is just browsing.

Bike Ward…read more Family-owned local bike shop that's been in business since 1963, and at this current larger location since 1989. I was in the market for some accessories for my son's bike and instead of taking the lazy way and ordering from Unca Jeff, I decided to do the right thing and support a local cyclery. And I'm glad I did. The Good: *Small private lot *Very convenient location if you live in Willow Glen or Cambrian. *Open seven days a week *Staff is super helpful and not pushy *Sell bikes and accessories, as well as bike maintenance and repairs. *I accidently bought the wrong type of rear bike rack** and I had already opened it and tried (unsuccessfully) to install it. I took it back along with the bike thinking I'd have to eat the cost of the rack since I'd already opened it, but they were more than happy to order me the correct one. Now that's customer service!! *Trade bikes for store credit *EXACT SAME PRICES AS AMAZON ON ACCESSORIES. I know that's hard to believe, but I checked, cuz you know... I'm a cheap-ass and am always curious, but yeah. The Meh: *No street parking on Meridian, but you can on nearby Blackford Ln. The Ugly: *Parking lot is a little tight, especially if you have a long vehicle and a hitch with bikes on it. Conclusion: Great little family bike shop with fantastic customer service. Highly recommended. **Be sure you know what kind of rear brakes your bike has either drum or disc when buying mountable accessories.
