I went to part source today at 1:45 pm to return an alternator purchased for $267.74 on 10/092019…read more On August 6, 2020 my car had to be "towed" from Airdrea AB to Compu-Care Auto Service in Calgary as the alternator was defective after only 10 months. The mechanic replaced the alternator which cost $367.50. I went to return the defective alternator at the original Part Source, store 795, 637 Goddard Ave NE with the original receipt. On the receipt it states 3yr warranty. The receipt also states hassle-free exchange or full refund. No where does it state that I was to pull out the defective alternator, return to this Part Source and exchange it for another one. My husband works out of town and I was stuck in Airdrie with 2 grandchildren and a dead car and I'm not a mechanic. When I talked with the male employee today he says they don't refund alternators generally and said he would have to check with his manager, Harry, and left for 10 minutes. Upon his return he said they will not refund it. I was not pleased and asked to talk with his manager. Then the employee claims the manager wasn't in the store. How was that possible, he just went and talked with him. He also claimed he didn't know when he'd be back??? So the employee lied to their customer!!! How am I responsible for a manufactured default that your store provided. I have paid $635.24 + $21.00 (core chg) + $41.00 to upgrade my already AMA membership as it would have been + $150.00 towing from out of Calgary further than 7km. I had to call my Aunt to pick me up from Airdrie with my 2 Grandchildren. Then I had to book a tow the following day and get a ride back to Airdrie to give the tow driver keys, and then be without a vehicle for 3 days! My family have spent several $$$ over the years and supported this store from when it opened. All I expected was to be compensated for the original purchase price of 267.74 for a defective product. I would been willing to take a credit had that been on the table...but not now. Having a career in customer service also means courtesy, respect and honesty! As an unsatisfied disappointed loyal customer I will expect that someone from your company to follow up with me and come to a resolution. Please contact me directly at 403943-6445.

New update June 19. I went into store to confront a call…read morethat I received from Masood's personal phone number. I wasn't 100% sure but when I went into the store I put an order for paint and called the phone number that was trying to harass me at my place of business a week prior (I recognized the voice but wanted to get any doubts out of the way). So I called the number when Masood was in front of me twice and he reached for the phone after trying to get my order. This of course validated my suspicions about his intentions, he was trying to extort and harass due to the review that he saw in Google for something that he was 100% in the wrong. After this he got very aggressive and threatening and essentially said "get out of my store if I see you here again I will kick your ass". I am now following up with a formal complain through a few parties as this guy clearly showed what his intentions were. Beware of this business, bad business practice, aggressive employee and not only will he not admit wrongdoing he will go after you yo harass you. Previous review: I had to change my recent review to just one star. I've been going to this place for a long time now and have bought 36 spray cans by my count at $25 a can, you can guess I've spent some money in there and that's not including other supplies. I go to this place because their cans are good quality, the tips don't drip and overall they spray well. The problem at this place is the customer service and the overall service one receives as a customer. The staff is knowledgeable but they think they levitate and don't walk. They make themselves out to be super busy and have no time when there are no customers around. They are also rude at times and it seems like every day is a different experience. It's as if their mood is whatever they bring that day. I was there yesterday first one in the store before anyone else shows and spoke to Masood about getting a color matched spray can and that I needed other supplies and tells me that he'll help me in a couple of minutes for the supplies. He goes out for a smoke and starts attending to other people on the lot (ok I understand they have customers that have body shops and are there all the time) comes back and is too busy to attend to me. 45 minutes later, I ask where my paint is since many have come and gone before me with their color matched paint and he comes back with a small can not a spray can. 45 minutes to get the wrong order and to not have attended to my other supply needs. With this kind of customer service I am surprised they still have a business during the pandemic. At the end the color match was wrong and I had to come back for them to redo it another day.

A BIG MERRY CHRISTMAS to the parts depart at Varsity Chrysler…read more I would like to let people know just how great the parts department is! so I ordered a part in for my vehicle on December 22, 2021. I asked the parts guy 3 time to make sure my part would be in for the 23 of December. I was told it would be. On the 23th I went to go pick up the part I needed and was told that there has been an error on the order. So a little mad at the fact they didn't bother to call me to let me know this piece of information. So I'm told by the guy behind the parts counter, my part will be here on the 24 and he will deliver the part directly to me. I run over to Varsity Chrysler in the morning of the 24th to see if my part is in yet. To my Shock they are closed. Now I'm sitting with no Part and a non running Vehicle at 1:30 in the afternoon on Christmas Eve!!! All I can say Thank you Varsity Chrysler for the GREAT 2021 Christmas memories

Do not buy a Yamaha boat here. They do not have access to qualified mechanics who can effectively…read morework on jet boats. Our boat has had a persistent issue since day 1. They had our boat September 1-July and only started working on it when we called with a pick up date in the spring. We got the run around and a solid "we think its at 90%". No water test, no follow ups. Well its worse than before. AND our brand new Yamaha boat cover we boat has a hole in it and our dash is not assembled back together properly. We had it first week July in the water and hauled it back Sunday. We told them they had until Friday to see if they could get it done otherwise they can have it back in September. Its Thursday and we get, "its in pieces, you can't pick it up". Sorry no, we get 8 weeks a year to boat in Alberta. Never again, Jack Carter. Jay McKeen, I am disappointed beyond belief.

Sold defective products on several occasions due to staff or management being too lazy to maintain…read moreproducts so the customer ends up being a guinea pig for product testing and has to repeatedly return products before buying elsewhere. Took vehicle to get service. They ignored what I asked them to do and charged a very high price for doing basic stuff I could do myself. Why would I pay several hundred dollars to do stuff I can do myself? Its as if they can't be bothered to do the work they are asked to do, or don't take notes or listen to what a customer says and instead do a cash and grab, doing as little service as they can get away with that costs the most bucks. They are a dealer. Shouldn't they know what is included in a service? After realizing the mistake, they wanted to charge me double to include the part of the service I specifically asked them to do. I will learn to do my own servicing from now on at a fraction of the cost because at least I'll know what gets done and I save myself hundreds of dollars doing basic stuff that doesn't require a mechanic. What they did manage to do was OK but now I can't afford to pay them take the vehicle all apart a second time to do the work I asked them to do the first time.

I have been coming to JBs for years now, for regular maintenance and car inspections. However,…read moretoday an employee was wearing a shirt that said "there are only 2 genders, delete your truck" or something to that affect, and it instantly made me feel grossly unsafe and unwelcome. I am part of the LGBT community, and am hurt and disgusted by this. I don't know if it's a company shirt or an employee's personal clothing, but either way, JBs should recognize that all kinds of people utilize their services, and alienating an entire demographic with some words on a T-shirt is an extremely poor business practice. Knowing that I have been supporting this business while some of the people operating it would potentially be violent towards me is a scary concept. I will be taking my business elsewhere unless this is rectified.
