Ordered tires 3 weeks ago. They said they would call to let us know when they were in (3-4 days). 2 weeks later, we called to find out the tires were there (why no call?) and we could drop the old tires off any time for the switch. When I went to drop them off, they refused to take them and said I had to make an appointment, so I had to return 4 days later to drop them off. They said they would be done that day and they would phone to let us know. It's been 2 days since then, and they have not called us back. We have tried to call, but we just keep getting put on hold. Booked some time ago for tire swap. Its not cheap but necessary. I show up 15 mins before and the website stated to allow 90 mins. Told on arrival it would be 2-2.5 hours! I had to wait as no other transport and had to shop for the family and get home to cook, so this was a problem. Options offered: " should have got it done in September" or " you can go and re-book ( good luck doing that this time of year) its tool 2hrs 15m from the appointment time. They said the brakes need service next time both front and rear. Well the rear are only a year old and they did them! They cant tell me why or what that involves. I then rush off to find the pressure warning light on. Of course by then theyre closed by then. One was faulty when i arrived but they never bothered. What other corners did they cut? Safety check? They found the tires I wanted and had them installed next day. I'm used to "we can fit you in in 3 weeks" in N.W. Calgary but these guys were "Sure, we can have you and your special tires finished in 2 hours tomorrow morning." Wow. Yes, first thing in the morning they are run ragged so the front might have a small wait. But that is a sign of "all hands on deck". I don't see any problem here. Fun staff, too. read more

Needed new tires due to screw in the tire and made it very clear I needed photos of the damages to send it to my warranty. Overall horrible customer service experience as I would never have received such photos if I didn't bug them for 3 weeks straight for it. I asked for such pictures prior to scheduling the service (over the phone), asked again at the shop prior to service, then reminded them again after service was done. I was told they would send it over no problem. I was lied to every single time. I had to call around 10x in a 3 week span (no joke) for them to send it to me. What a joke read more

Kal tire has always been a reliable company my dad used when I grew up. We went there for everything . I purchased a used car in February and was told it may need an alignment. Was also told it may need rims and tires. I brought new rims and tires to this location and explained the issue. They mounted and did an alignment. When I left I noticed car still vibrating when I braked. I came back and they told me to do the shocks. I did. I left. Again the car was vibrating when I braked. I brought it back third time same week while I was juggling work. They said they'd balance the tires. I left. STILL the car vibrates when I brake. I refuse to go back to this place . Another mechanic told me it's brakes and rotors. And it doesn't look like my shocks were done. I called this store they said it was a "communication error" between front desk and technician and I SHOULDVE requested to drive with the tech to show them the problem. Utter garbage this place. Traveling through Medicine Hat to Saskatchewan from Red Deer. My van developed a vibration on the highway and a severe wobble when we slowed down. I called James at Kal Tire and he got me in quickly and the tech Kyle came for a road test. He immediately diagnosed the problem as a separated tire and got me new tires, at a very good price, installed within an hour and a half, getting me back on the road quickly without an interruption in our holidays. read more

I called Ryan at Kal-Tire on Tuesday. I had a bunch of questions. Nothing went unanswered. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to show me multiple options. Then finally he helped me determine what would work best for my needs. Plus knowing I was in a rush Ryan was able to book me in first Thing Thursday morning. Very slow service and front desk personnel seem to not understand time management. Would have gone to Kirks tire but my tire was leaking to quickly. Next time I will stop along the way to Kirks and refill my tire to get there instead of coming here again. read more

Today was my second time having service done at this Kal Tire. The first time was when I got my new winter tires put on and the second time was today when I needed a tire repair. Everyone I have dealt with at this shop has been really friendly and professional. They seem genuinely interested in getting me what I need while being aware of my time constraints and budget. Disclosure: They were very kind and patched our tire entirely for free. Waking up on a cross-country road-trip to a flat tire wasn't exciting, but this Kal Tire was great. They were friendly and not only patched our tire, but also checked over the rest of the car. They had us check in with another Kal Tire an hour towards our destination to check in that the tire was still holding, and it was. - Great location, good experience. PS: Free coffee and fresh popcorn. 10/10 would get flat tire on week-long road trip and take it to Kal Tire again :) read more

I sent an email to request the exact tires I picked out and requested a time available. The automated email I received said someone would get to me within 24 hours and no one responded. I ended up calling them and the guy told me he was "just going to call me." He further explained that they had to order them in and would give me a call, however their website said they were available at that moment and I was able to come in. The guy also did not confirm the size of my tires or made sure they were the right ones for me. It has now been 3 1/2 weeks and no one has called. These guys could have made almost $1000 from me, but I am not willing to chase them for it. If they wanted the business they would do their job. I had no problems with a Kal Tire in Lethbridge a few years back, but the ones here in The Hat don't care as I tried contacting the other Kal Tire on Box Springs a few days ago and same thing, no one has responded to me. I am taking my business elsewhere and would NOT recommend Kal Tire(s) in Med Hat to anyone. read more
