They took care of my bent wheels quickly. Due to some staffing issues, the owners were down from DFW running the place. Minus one star for their phone answerer in DFW (the Austin number rings up there after 3 rings) though, lousy customer service skills and quite an attitude. read more

I can't say enough positive things about these guys. I struck something on 35 the other night that dented to rim and blew out the tire. I went here because of all the positive reviews. I brought my wheel in to get looked at for repair and not only got told they couldn't repair it because it was too damaged but that no one should because the damage was too great. While my heart sunk, I was so appreciative of their honesty and concern for my safety. I didn't know what to do next. These wheels are over $1k each and I didn't know what to do other than go back to the dealer and try to order a new one. But then, they said they'd look to see if they could find me another wheel. And sure enough, they found a refurbished one at less than half the price and it arrived before 9 am the following day! Talk about customer service! I called Brandon on a Thursday afternoon late and he was extremely nice and helpful, He was very knowledgeable about how the repair would be done and exactly how long it would take. I went to their shop in Austin on Friday morning and he had it off and my spare wheel and tire on in a flash! Me being in A hurry to get to appointment I had near Houston I didn't think about my spare having a different offset than the wheel we were repairing. I made it about 2 miles and my tire was rubbing on the inside of the control arm. I call Brandon and he came to me at a Chevron station nearby and changed it out with a rear wheel to where I could make my appointment, now that is true commitment, and the kind of guy that everybody wants to do business with!! So this review is for Jordan who was very professional and went out of the way to pick up my wheel lock key from the place that last serviced my car to ensure that he didn't have to break my bolts off. He was great and got my car back to me the next day once he was able to get the tires off. Now the person I called to confirm my pick up has an attitude problem. Things must've drastically changed from the time the negative posts were written to now. I am one of the most critical people alive and I found Wheel Technologies (WT) to be the complete opposite of what I see written here. Like many I was referred here by someone else; actually the dealership that services my car. I bent the wheel/rim and to have it replaced at the dealership it was going to be $739. Based on their referral I contacted WT. I dealt with Ryan who was extremely pleasant, professional, and positive. He explained the MUCH LOWER cost of repair (about 7 times cheaper). They sent it off and found that it couldn't be repaired. So he found a matching, refurbished wheel in stock and put it on my vehicle (only about double the cost of what the repair would've been). I would absolutely recommend WT to anyone and everyone. I'm just thankful the dealership made the recommendation. read more

Can I leave 0 stars? Screw these guys forever. Granted, this was a couple years ago, but my car still wears the scars of Wheel Technologies' "work." ("Work" being used extremely loosely here.) I had a bent wheel in need of repair. Too many people recommended these jackwagons, so off I went. Customer service was nonexistent to hostile. First, I got told that they only deal with business accounts. Uhh. Then how did all of these other people I know take wheels there? Finally, they took my borked alloy for repait. It came back looking fine enough, but I was glad to be done with Comcast-grade customer service they offered. I wasn't sure this was a real business by the way their place looked, but they came so highly recommended that I ignored it, ignored their refusal to pick my wheel up, and ignored the "totally not-legitimate front for something" vibes I got from their sketchy-looking location. Turns out, these jabronis didn't even bother sanding down the old finish before repainting it. I waited out the time they told me to hold off before using the wheel so the paint would cure, and lo and behold, the paint chipped around the lugnuts anyway when the shop installing new tires on said rim torqued the wheel down to the proper specs for the first time. A properly fixed and repainted wheel shouldn't do that! The fact that I was leaving for a cross-country road trip right afterwards and my foul experience with their utter lack of customer service meant that I've just dealt with it for a while, until now, when I remembered that I should leave these dinguses the Yelp review that they deserve. Horrible. They sent out 4 wheels to be powder coated. Came back with the directional tires mounted backwards on the wheel. My technician dismounted the tires and found large chunks of the tire bead completely missing from 3 of the tires. These tires were being installed on a tuned BMW that was going to be driven fast. If we hadn't found this problem our customer could have had multiple tire failures while driving. Someone from Wheel Tech came to my shop and inspected the tires. Assured me that the replacement cost would be taken care of. 3 months later I still have not received a reimbursement check. I have left 4 messages for Gina the owner in the past 2 weeks with no response. Bad business. read more

I checked WT out here on Yelp, and given some of the past ratings, I had HUGE reservations about calling these guys. BUT, the guys that referred me to WT I've known awhile, and I trust their judgment. Yay for me! My WT experience was one of the best customer services experiences I've had in years ... I dealt with Danny B., the owner, to arrange the repair of my damaged wheel. Danny was super responsive, and I had an estimate within several hours of my initial contact with WT. Danny arranged to have the wheel picked up at the auto shop. My wheel repair was completed in about 2 days. And the final bill was 40% LESS than the estimate Danny first quoted me. How often does that happen ... NEVER! A shout to Ryan as well. He handled the back end of the service, taking payment and getting the wheel delivered back to the auto shop. No charge for picking up or delivering the repaired wheel. Wheel Technologies was awesome! Start to finish. I have no reservations recommending them 110% for any wheel damage, repair issues you have. After having a blowout and purchasing a new tire . My tire kept going flat every morning . After going back to the tire shop they finally figured out I had a crack . After calling Mercedes for the cost of a new rim 1200 , the tire shop informed me the crack was minor and could be fixed for hundreds less , and referred me to wheel technologies. Being 8 months pregnant and having a 13 month old I was not thrilled about being without a car for two days . When my husband and I dropped the car off , and he explained I was very pregnant , Ryan assured him fixing my rim would be a priority, and he had it fixed the next morning. My husband took his rim to be fix due to being bent. When he picked up his rim, his tire was cut! He took it to 2 Tire Shops and they both informed him, "The cut is too clean to be a blowout!" He contacted the Farmers Branch manager, and she told him, "It's a blowout and I feel you are trying to get something for free!" Be careful when and if doing business with this company. I was in Dallas for a weekend visit from Northeast Louisiana, which is 4 & 1/2 hours away. Unfortunately, my daughter hit a big hole and cracked my rim on my Car. I messaged this company through yelp around midnight on a Sunday night and someone actually responded back in less than an hour. They told me I could bring the car as soon as they opened and they would have it ready within 2 -3 hours. And their word was truly their bond. They had me back on the road and home in time to conduct a major business transaction that I so desperately needed to handle. I can't thank them enough for their fast & quality service. By the way, the price was still just as low as some of the other rim shops that told me that it would take them 24 - 48 hours to repair my rim. If your looking for good quality work I would not recommend this place. Yes they are fast and the rims did come back balanced, but I had 3 rims that needed work the 4th had a little paint missing and he said it could be corrected, but the rim came back worse than before they did the repairs. Two of the tires had to get the sensors replaced because they were leaking air and could not be fixed for $189. When I tried to contact him back in regards to this it took 12hrs for him to respond. When I asked if he would cover the cost of the new sensors, he said I wish you would have tried to get a hold of me, which I thought was funny considering I called his office, texted and called his cell phone. Needless to say this was a $795 dollar mistake that will not happen again. read more

I just recently took my wheel to this place as a walk-in customer so they could fix my curb thrashed wheel. The company agreed to fix the scratches and match the black colored pockets to factory specifications "factory quality". I took my wheel in Friday evening, was told it would be ready on Monday. I returned Monday, told it was 100% done. Scuff on wheel was fixed properly but the black colored pockets were not up to factory specs, half of the rim was shiny (factory paint) and the other half matted (dull) finish. The service person agreed that it was not up to factory quality. I agreed for the wheel to be sent back to Houston shop (for the 2nd time) where they apparently do the wheel work and will be ready for pick up on Tuesday. Wheel got left behind in Houston for another day ( day 3) for unexplained reason. Was called and told that wheel was at the Austin office but was not fixed. Wheel was still not up to factory quality like I was promised. Service rep said they will send it back again to fix the paint. They had my wheel for 3 days and same outcome, paint still not matching. Poor work expectations, was hoping for a better experience. I will not be suggesting this company to friends, family or customers. I was/ am so fed up with this company and now looking for another wheel refinishing company to finish the work they started. I gave one star for the removal of scratches. read more
