My lovely wife put some rim rashes on our brand new BMW X5 with black powder coated sport rims before I even made the 1st payment. After an extensive search, I contacted Gilbert. Before I used Gilbert I had curb rash on a different wheel. This wheel was sent off to be repaired, well it came back and at first looked fine. Cost me twice as much though. However, I noticed about a 6" spot where the color coat was missing. So off the tire comes again so Miles Tire and Wheel could repair it. Later to find out that is a middleman and the wheel is sent to Dallas. Well it came back worse then it left. I was told they could not fix it. The worse than left part was due to scaring it up putting the tire back on the wheel. I call Gilbert. He had it fixed looking new in around 20 minutes. Gilbert is great at fixing wheels. read more

After seeing positive reviews here on Yelp, I decided to give him a call. He (his name is Gilbert) picked up. Told me to send him a picture of my rim with road rash and he'll send me a quote. I text'd him, and he got back to me right away with a price I was happy with. I immediately responded if he has any openings next week and no response. Over the next 2-3 weeks, I have text'd AND called him (leaving voice-mail) of a total of about 6 times of so...... and each time not a single reply or anything. Sorry but I take that as disrespect. If you're not interested in doing business (which I am not sure why... maybe he's making more money now doing dealership work instead of individuals? ... only guessing). I had Gilbert paint my wheels. Initially, I was impressed with quality of work and communication. However, 6 months later the pain is peeling off. I called Gilbert to set appointment to redo. He blew me off. I called a week late and set another appointment. He blew me off again. I sent a text message with no response. I sent a rude text message indicating that he "didn't give shit" within 30 seconds I get call from a very pissed off Gilbert. Obviously, I was frustrated and I used inflamatory language, which no one likes or appreciates, However, I find it telling that he called back immediately after he had neglected to communiate when it meant him redoing work. In short, the man can paint your rims at a reasonable price. The paint may or not peel. He is unresponsive / uncoopertaive and seemingly unwilling to correct problems. He absolutely has extremely poor customer service skills. This honest and accurate account of my experience with Gilbert will no doubt upset him. I wish it would prompt him to be a better business owner, as it would a truly successful business owner / operator. He has demonstrated that he doesnt care about correcting problems or even common considerations like returning phone calls or text messages. Most businesses maintain a customer contact list and schedule in case of mishaps like losing phone. If you are expecting professionalism, consideration, good communication and guaranteed workmanship, I recommend looking elsewhere. read more
