As I was looking over the menu, I was greeted at the register by an employee who was very attentive. Even though it was busy, he made sure I wasn't left standing there. He was running food to tables while also taking orders at the register, and I was very impressed by how well he handled everything. Once I was ready, he took my order and gave it to the cooks to make fresh while he continued helping other customers. When he came back, I paid, and by the time I sat down, my food was already at my table--hot, steaming, and looking amazing. Now, let's get into the food. This burger was fresh, hot, and straight off the grill. My mouth was still on fire after the first bite, and I have zero complaints. I got the double cheeseburger with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, and mustard. The flavor of the burger was amazing, and everything complemented each other perfectly. 10/10 The fries were hot, fresh, perfectly crispy, and had great seasoning. 8/10 by themselves and 9/10 with ranch. Their homemade ranch was another banger. I dipped both my fries and burger in it, and it took the whole meal to another level. 10/10 The mac and cheese was a different take on the classic, and I wasn't complaining. It had a unique flavor that I really appreciated. It was flavorful, creamy, and something I'd definitely order again. 8/10 I definitely need to come back and give this place a more detailed review for the Mac and cheese because I was rushing to catch Spider-Man for the second time. Overall, the experience was amazing, and I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu. Day of review: 7/31/26 Time: 1:05 PM

They have a nice menu with a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches and wings, fries and onion rings, and Fountain drinks and milkshakes!! But I am so limited in what I may eat, that I had to ask for a plain hamburger and grilled mushrooms--cooked on a space that that was freshly cleaned off on the grill. I was so wrapped up in explaining this to very patient counterlady McKenzie (I believe) that I forgot to ask for lettuce and tomato. When it arrived at the table--brought singly out by Fernando (I believe)--I realized that I hadn't asked for the lettuce or tomato and I mumbled that to myself. But, I did not ask outright! Lo and behold, not a minute later Fernando appears with a plate of lettuce and tomato. How terrifically caring is that!?!?! And my burger was perfectly cooked and I did not have a bad reaction which means McKenzie got all the instructions exactly right and the chefs did exactly right, too! I thank all the staff very much! My family who was with me enjoyed all their selections, including fries and onion rings. My grandson's milkshake disappeared quickly. (You can get alcohol there, too.) Will definitely be back and will spread the word about how terrific Burger Barn is!!

I had the footlong hotdog plate with fries and my husband had the Snakebite Burger (with jalapeños and habanero cheese) and onion straws. The patties were juicy, flavorful and cooked exactly as a smash burger should be, with a nice crust and plenty of taste. The portion size was generous and the fries complemented the burger well. If I were rating the food alone, I would probably give it 4.5 stars. What pushed the experience to a full 5 stars was the exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff. (not usual at a "simple burger place") Genuine hospitality still makes a difference, and the team made me feel appreciated as a customer. The restaurant has a simple, but relaxed atmosphere, good food and great service. If you enjoy smash burgers, the Triple Threat is definitely worth trying. I would happily come back and order it again.

Today my husband and I had a disappointing experience. We waited an inordinate time for the waitress who after about 5-10 minutes stopped for a few moments to tell us she would be back. No offer of drinks. Bit of a wait longer to place order. Order came without onion rings I'd ordered. She forgot to add them. She never checked to see if food was ok or make sure our drinks were refilled, which is a huge pet peeve. I got the onion rings after we were finished with meal and they are outrageously spicy. There is no mention of spicy batter on menu so it was very disappointing to have inedible side. Not to mention that my drink was empty which added to the misery. I did tell her when she finally came to table that I was disappointed in the service with lack of checking on us at all after food was delivered and she apologized and said she had double seating and also agreed that the onion rings do have quite a kick and that should be mentioned on menu. Overall disappointing

Our server, Ava had a great energy and a bright smile, and delivered excellent service throughout. The menu is vast and diverse, I had some shrimp tacos which were excellent, along with a fresh iced tea - Ava Even brought a carafe of iced tea on the side so we could pour our own refills... Nice touch. Even at the non-member rate, the meal was quite affordable averaging just over $20 per person including meal, tip, tax. Views of the golf course are beautiful, the high ceiling dining room has a modern light fixture, it's just a beautiful spot overall. We visited the pro-shop and bought reasonably priced golf wear. I tend to switch it up every time I come because of much I enjoy the burgers (and the chicken sandwich), but this just may be my go-to going forward because man, was this crazy good. Hubby got his usual which is the OBX. That comes with poblano mayo, cajun ranch, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and keylime guacamole. He literally gets this every single time and never deviates. We usually split a tray of the bacon ranch fries but we decided to switch it up a little and get the nachos fries. While the nachos fries were great, we both agreed that we like the bacon ranch ones much more. We also agreed that next time, we're going to get the Jax Style fries and compare those as well. I got here as they opened on Sunday, and it got packed relatively quickly. I'd recommend having a reservation if you're planning to visit during busier timeframes like this. I was seated promptly by attentive staff, and quickly had both food and drink menus to begin ordering. I was looking for something tasty without being too heavy, and settled on the Little Hans Vienna Lager along with the 8 oz steak burger and fries. The beer had amazing flavor similar to Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager with a good, crisp finish. The burger meal, described with "Tillamook cheddar cheese, caramelized onion & bacon jam, beef fat aioli, grilled potato roll, truffle fries", was arguablely the best burger and fries I've ever had in my life. Everything tasted fresh, and the flavor of the wood-fired grill certainly complemented the meat. The house-made pickles were a great touch to add another layer of complexity to the burger. I could tell the fries were fresh cut and never frozen. The truffle oil made these even more amazing. The manager offered and brought a special sauce to try that they normally serve with their chicken chicken sandwich that was superbly tasty and tangy. More than impressed with my entree, I elected to try a desert and was recommended the S'mores pie by my waitress. The deliciously buttery crust was my favorite part of the ensemble and blended well with the savory chocolate filling topped with a toasted marshmallow. While a bit pricey for lunch compared to most places, I was more than satisfied with the offerings provided here and would love to visit Ember and Iron again.
