    Dr Pepper shake
    Kate C.

I don't get fast food very often but I was dying for some good fries dipped in a shake. Someone mentioned the Dr Pepper shake here so I thought it would be an interesting flavor a fry-dip to switch up the typical Frosty- fry combo I normally go for. I think this might have also been the first time I've been to a What - a - burger - so I wasn't at all familiar with their food. I feel like the service In the drive-thru was kind of slow, but once I got to the window, it seems that is because they make everything fresh to order. I think so anyway - my fries were piping hot. Could have used a little more salt, but I added my own from the packet and they were absolute crispy French fry perfection. Now for the star of the show - the Dr Pepper shake! The shake was thick - but not too thick to sip thru a straw (the pic shows a little melted since it was after the ride home). And somehow, the shake enabled me to discern more of the flavors of Dr Pepper than I can in soda form. I could taste the cherry, amaretto, and vanilla for sure. Maybe also the cardamom. I only did drive-thru, so not much to say about the ambiance or restaurant itself, but the employees were all super nice and friendly. This was such a lovely treat - I think I will very likely stop by again when the fry-dipped-in-shake craving returns. (Crispy golden fries not pictured. They did not make it home - all eaten in the car).

Stopped here on the way back to Savannah, and having never been to a Whataburger, it seemed only fair not having had lunch to get something when the opportunity presented itself. This location looks to be a brand new one - situated in a shopping mall center near the highway. Ordered a double burger with bacon on top. The lettuce tomato and thick raw onion chunks come standard along with mustard. We also shared an order of fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was BIG. Usually a double burger is smaller - but this dwarfs McDonald's, Five Guys, and even In&Out and BK. I was shocked at the size of the burger. Reminded me of a heavily seasoned smash burger Patty - smashed thin. I liked the flavor, the shake was really creamy, and the fries were standard, Glad we stopped - would recommend !

The takeout hits the kitchen table.

I love burgers. I really love burgers. Did I say that I really love burgers? I've spent half of my life in Florida and half of that half in Saint Johns/ St Augustine. Sadly, in that almost 30 years in Florida and the best burger joint I've found is Tops burgers in Fort Walton Beach so far away in the panhandle. Tops is one of the absolute best food experiences ever. This trip to Whataburger??? Not even close. Not even close even if you tried to bribe me with a Tops burger. Translation, it sucked. When "What A Burger" first opened, the line was around the building for many weeks. Many months later, the lines are much smaller, so I decided to treat the family after I finished a doctor's appointment because I shouldn't be standing after a procedure. I was so disappointed because it really sucked. Not one of my 3 sons were looking looking for more when they were finished. Never happens. I can't put a finger on why I feel that way or my kids' lack of desire to eat more. It's just not what we want to eat with a burger. Why did i give it a score of 1??? Their burgers have been so hyped with their fans telling me for years to go to "What a Burger." I guess I had such a high expectation that crashed and burned. As I was about to finish this review, I took another bite. It was the worst bite of food yet. Let the burger crash and burn some more. Enough said, it sucks. Sorry, what a burger fan. It's not my burger. The search for a local burger palace continues...

    A must!

Glad they brought this Texas gem to Florida. My niece and I ordered the what a burger and I'm jealous she lives down the street from one. They need to bring this to south Florida. Their "fancy ketchup is delicious and addicting. Price is good, typical for a fast food place. My favorite part of the burger is the sauce they add to it. Going back the next time I'm visiting for sure.

I literally have no words. All I can say is "Don't cheat yourself, Treat yourself" Whoever is giving this place 2 stars and below either DON'T know GREAT fast food or is either complaining about their wait time. My wait time wasn't bad at all, do I doubt that they may have slow days? No... but If my food is going to be fresh like the man upstairs came down and cooked it himself I can wait an extra 10-15mins, that's how damn good it is. My service was excellent and I will definitely be returning.

They have a nice menu with a variety of burgers, chicken sandwiches and wings, fries and onion rings, and Fountain drinks and milkshakes!! But I am so limited in what I may eat, that I had to ask for a plain hamburger and grilled mushrooms--cooked on a space that that was freshly cleaned off on the grill. I was so wrapped up in explaining this to very patient counterlady McKenzie (I believe) that I forgot to ask for lettuce and tomato. When it arrived at the table--brought singly out by Fernando (I believe)--I realized that I hadn't asked for the lettuce or tomato and I mumbled that to myself. But, I did not ask outright! Lo and behold, not a minute later Fernando appears with a plate of lettuce and tomato. How terrifically caring is that!?!?! And my burger was perfectly cooked and I did not have a bad reaction which means McKenzie got all the instructions exactly right and the chefs did exactly right, too! I thank all the staff very much! Visiting my son & DIL this past weekend, both of my son's dining suggestions were wing-focused. But my vegetarian DIL (she eats some seafood) seemed to be more interested in Bonchon than the other potential spot, so I took her side to make our choice. I can usually find something to eat on any menu, in spite of my immature palette, and Bonchon was no exception. In fact, there are several other things I want to try now! We started with the Korean Cucumber Salad & Bao Buns with Pork Belly. No one that knows me will be surprised that the cucumber salad was much too hot for me. But here is something unexpected... I loved the cole slaw on the Bao Bun, and the sauces were complementary enough that the spice level was fine for me. I would definitely order the Bao Buns again, and try the other meats. For my meal, I ordered the Bibimbap with Bulgogi, and really enjoyed it. Their marinated beef was very tasty, and of course I love an egg on just about anything. Another (non)shock, I did not care for the Bibimbap Sauce because it was rather hot; I appreciated that it was served on the side. Hubs said the mushrooms & caramelized onions were very good, but I didn't eat either. Then I tried a Classic Crunch drumstick, and fell in love! Yes, I bit into it like y'all do, and ate the skin, too. What a delicious piece of chicken! I didn't even need a dipping sauce (& I can't remember what the boys chose anyway). My son insisted that I'd enjoy a Korean BBQ wing also, and I'm sure I would, but I was already getting full. Next time! Also for my next visit, my DIL got a Mopo Corndog as her appetizer (though she also ate a lot of the cucumber salad), and it looked amazing! The name was confusing (to me), but there is no hot dog inside, so I want to try one. Fried mozzarella & potato cubes! They have two versions, so of course I want to try both; although I'm rather skeptical about the sugar-cinnamon coating, I'm anticipating an unexpectedly delicious bite. Service was fantastic, although they weren't very busy yet on this Saturday evening. Our server was very attentive & friendly, and none of us waited for a new drink or refill. My son & DIL evidently visit often, so I'm sure we'll return. I wish we had a Bonchon location closer to us!

I must say, I've become quite the "Chicken Tendies" critic as I've ventured around Jacksonville…read more Don't ask me why, I have ZERO explanation for this sudden obsession, but lately I've come to realize that not all Tendies are created equal. Enter PDQ. The Digs: Stand alone brick and mortar in upscale St. Johns County. I've eaten there on numerous occasions, and no matter what time of day I arrive, the expansive dining room is virtually spotless. The enticing aroma of fresh Chicken and crisp Waffle Fries being made to order will lead you to the counter with a sense of urgency. There's two Coca-cola Freestyle machines to ensure that no one dies of thirst. An abundance of tables and booths are situated to entertain a crowd, if needed. The Noms: Don't get me wrong, there's more to PDQ than just the Tendies (salads, milkshakes, etc.), however, my go-to order is the 4-piece meal with Waffle Fries and Toast. Up until my very first visit, I had NO IDEA how one thick, buttery, toasty piece of bread could be SO essential to this meal. If they ran out of toast I'd walk out and come back the next day, that's how dependant I am on this bread. The Tendies are fried to perfection, and elevated by my 2 dipping sauces of choice, Ranch and Honey Mustard. There's an assortment of sauces to suit anyone's taste, but those two are my besties, and I'm an unapologetic Ranch snob. The Waffle Fries are coming at you fresh out of the fryer, so you might want to wait a minute before you dig in, speaking from experience. And So: This particular PDQ is unquestionably my favorite "Tendies" spot in Jacksonville, by far. The service is quick and the staff welcome you with warm smiles and pleasantries. Definitely a must-try if you haven't already. 5 well deserved stars. Till next time, my fellow Yeeps, thanks for reading, and as always....SYOY!

From the moment we walked in, the space felt clean, bright, and welcoming, with a simple Mediterranean style that made it comfortable to dine in. There was a steady stream of customers coming and going, both dining in and picking up takeout, which immediately told us this place has built a loyal following. The food is where The Great Greek really shines. We started with the four dip combo, and honestly, that alone is worth the visit. The hummus was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor without being heavy. The tirokafteri had a bold kick that built just enough heat to keep things interesting. Paired with plenty of warm, soft pita, it is an easy dish to share and one we would happily order every time. For our main dishes, I ordered the gyro, which I often use as a benchmark when trying a Greek restaurant. The meat was flavorful, the pita was fresh, and the tzatziki sauce really stood out, tying everything together beautifully. The feta fries were another highlight and were hard to stop eating. Susan ordered the Atlantic salmon, and it ended up being the biggest surprise of the meal. It was cooked perfectly, well seasoned, and paired with sides that complemented the fish rather than overpowering it. Portion sizes are generous, pricing feels very fair for the quality and amount of food, and service was friendly and efficient throughout our visit. Even though this is a counter service restaurant, staff brought the food to the table and checked in to make sure everything was just right. We even left with leftovers and dessert to enjoy later, which is always a good sign. What we thought would be a quick meal turned into a really enjoyable dining experience. This is a restaurant we will absolutely be returning to and one we are happy to recommend to anyone looking for great Greek food done well.
