So when I was staying within two miles of a Whataburger location I visited here with a friend twice in two days,, once for breakfast and once for dinner. Our food was excellent! I realize it is fast food, but this was so much better than other fast food restaurants. Between us, we ordered several different menu items to sample and share. Burger, grilled cheese, onion rings, fries for dinner. I ordered a side of jalapeño ranch dip for the fries and onion rings and it was great. Everything was hot and fresh and made to order. Corporate has refused to call me back about an issue I had at this store, which makes me think they don't value professionalism. I had two orders with problems and I called the store back and I spoke with the manager, who assured me that I would receive my refund if I returned. I explained that I don't live in the area but visit once a month, and he agreed to write my name down. When I returned to get my refund, less than a month later, they refused to give it to me. The girl manager told me that the manager hadn't written my name down, so they had lied to me. This was my first and last time trying them out. I would not recommend them at all. read more

I typically arrive just before noon sometime. Friday's usually has a small line and any other week day there is hardly anyone there when I come in to order. It quickly fills up right at noon. The accuracy is on point and the food is hot along with the fries. I really enjoy coming to this location over the location within 5 miles from my house. The location is always clean to include the restroom, that is a plus because I am not a huge clean freak but I do like a tidy business with bright colors. I do recommend this location in the afternoon. I have not stopped here in the eventing time but I have stopped for breakfast a time or two on the way out to Hog Whaller. One more quick note, for you Star Wars folks, there is a guy at drive thru who is very nice, pleasant, and engagingly friendly who speaks a little Yoda. I don't get fast food very often but I was dying for some good fries dipped in a shake. Someone mentioned the Dr Pepper shake here so I thought it would be an interesting flavor a fry-dip to switch up the typical Frosty- fry combo I normally go for. I think this might have also been the first time I've been to a What - a - burger - so I wasn't at all familiar with their food. I feel like the service In the drive-thru was kind of slow, but once I got to the window, it seems that is because they make everything fresh to order. I think so anyway - my fries were piping hot. Could have used a little more salt, but I added my own from the packet and they were absolute crispy French fry perfection. Now for the star of the show - the Dr Pepper shake! The shake was thick - but not too thick to sip thru a straw (the pic shows a little melted since it was after the ride home). And somehow, the shake enabled me to discern more of the flavors of Dr Pepper than I can in soda form. I could taste the cherry, amaretto, and vanilla for sure. Maybe also the cardamom. I only did drive-thru, so not much to say about the ambiance or restaurant itself, but the employees were all super nice and friendly. This was such a lovely treat - I think I will very likely stop by again when the fry-dipped-in-shake craving returns. (Crispy golden fries not pictured. Let me start by saying I am team In-N-Out when it comes down to these two chains. That being said, the patty melt I ordered today was nothing short of excellent. First of all, it's huge - as it should be since it's about $10. This burger hit all the right spots today as I just spent 5 hours golfing in 100° heat index temps. It was freshly made, seasoned just right, and juicy. The Texas toast was also well executed. While I'm not sure if I'm ready to have them dethrone In-N-Out (as I still have hope for some east coast locations in the next couple of years), I may have to think about them more on the rare occasion I hit a drive thru for fast food. read more

Stopped here on the way back to Savannah, and having never been to a Whataburger, it seemed only fair not having had lunch to get something when the opportunity presented itself. This location looks to be a brand new one - situated in a shopping mall center near the highway. Ordered a double burger with bacon on top. The lettuce tomato and thick raw onion chunks come standard along with mustard. We also shared an order of fries and a chocolate shake. The burger was BIG. Usually a double burger is smaller - but this dwarfs McDonald's, Five Guys, and even In&Out and BK. I was shocked at the size of the burger. Food decent, service friendly, ambiance mega FILTHY! The men's room had urine all over the wall and puddled on the floor by the toilet. Towels and dirt also on the floor, the mirror and sink were also pretty gross. The dining room hand order numbers, food smears, and wet spots on the tables. Benches had food on them, as did the floor, with more dirt, order numbers, and trash. The guy that took my burger order, while very courteous, did so with grease covered gloves. I had already paid so I couldn't just leave, was basically a hostage situation and I was SUPER late for work, even though I had accounted extra time to grab food. I love burgers. I really love burgers. Did I say that I really love burgers? I've spent half of my life in Florida and half of that half in Saint Johns/ St Augustine. Sadly, in that almost 30 years in Florida and the best burger joint I've found is Tops burgers in Fort Walton Beach so far away in the panhandle. Tops is one of the absolute best food experiences ever. This trip to Whataburger??? Not even close. Not even close even if you tried to bribe me with a Tops burger. Translation, it sucked. When "What A Burger" first opened, the line was around the building for many weeks. Many months later, the lines are much smaller, so I decided to treat the family after I finished a doctor's appointment because I shouldn't be standing after a procedure. I was so disappointed because it really sucked. Not one of my 3 sons were looking looking for more when they were finished. Never happens. I can't put a finger on why I feel that way or my kids' lack of desire to eat more. It's just not what we want to eat with a burger. Why did i give it a score of 1??? Our first stop in Florida was to have Whataburger and man were we so excited. I hadn't had Whataburger since 2017 and after a full days worth of travel this was so well deserved. The first thing I saw on the menu was the Dr. Pepper shake and malt, so I ordered that along with the Whataburger Patty Melt and onion rings while my husband Bryan ordered the BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich. The only problem when we got to Bryan's dad's home was that they gave me fries instead of onion rings and no sauce whatsoever. But the food was so good, I am a huge fan of Dr. Pepper so of course I had to order the shake. The shake itself tasted like a Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream but in shake form, so good! My patty melt was hefty and everything was so delicious and Bryan thoroughly enjoyed his sandwich while chatting up with his dad. First thing... rating this on the fast food scale and not to be confused with any sit down / service place. Ordered online. They told me about 20 minutes with a pickup at the window. Sounds good. Drove over and got into the drive thru. Only 1 lane was open. That one lane was super slow. Probably took me 20 minutes to get to the ordering window. They told me to go around and come in instead of sitting in line for a few more cars. I popped into the store, went to the counter. "Give us a few minutes". They told me that they were making a fresh batch of O-rings. Oh good. I get the order and back home. Well, they screwed up the order a little. My wife doesn't like condiments on her burger. Stopped in for a quick bite, mostly for the kiddos. Ordered cheese fries and we were given fries with a side of shredded cheese. I go up to the counter and the manager comes over. I asked if the cheese could be melted on the fries as that's what we usually get/order. He goes to the back and comes back with two styrofoam containers. I open them and the cheese is now sat atop the fries, still not melted. I send them back a second time and that this point I can hear several members of staff commenting about me, the customer. To me this place isn't 24/7. The night crew is absolutely horrible. I seriously hope management can turn this around. Every time I tried coming through the drive-thru, it could take anywhere between 15-30 minutes. And when I came inside, same thing but their attitude is nasty. "What?!" The cashier asked me when it was time to put in my order, followed by eye-rolling and moving so slow they weren't even picking up their feet. I understand busy wait times, Im in management myself and there are a ton of things that can factor in and how it can affect a workers day, but this time im a customer and its not my responsibility to hold their hand. someone get these kids in shape. Ok, y'all know I am tight with my 5's, but for a fastfood place, IT'S A 5! The burgers were delish, the Cobb salad was fresh, the chicken on top was HUGE, and the kids meals were the perfect size. We switched the soda to a small vanilla and strawberry shake, their shakes, amaaaaazing! If you find one, pop in! Good food. AWFUL service. We've always enjoyed the food here but tonight's service maybe the nail in the coffin. We got our order taken and food delivered without incident but my wife didn't get her gravy or ketchup. So she went to the counter to ask for it. Maybe it's SOP for Whataburger but this place consistently leaves the front counter unattended. So she waited and waited for someone finally to show up. While she was up there, I ordered a milkshake (with the app) for my daughter who was at home. After I finished eating I went to the counter to pick it up. It was WELL after the time the app said it would be ready. I waited at the, once again, unattended counter. I moved as close to it as I could so all of the people (there were many) who were moving around the kitchen might take notice. Several of them looked over but none came to see what I needed. Finally a young man came over to deliver another customer's online order. Then when that was done, he looks at me and says, "Were you gonna order?" Classy. So I told him, "No, I ordered a milkshake on the app for Mario." He mumbled something and then walked away. I stood there and waited while he walked around the kitchen... and waited... and waited. After awhile, I got the distinct impression that he was not doing anything to prepare my shake. I called to him through the beverage area and asked him what the status was on the shake. His response? "What size was that again?" The whole staff including what I assume is the manager (he wore a gray polo - different than everyone else's uniforms) seemed totally indifferent to their customers. There were plenty of people working there and very few customers so they couldn't have been overwhelmed. Can't say for sure what it was like when we were in the restaurant but the drive-through was completely empty when we left. The really sad part of it is that the food tonight was really good, as usual. This place will always get your work order wrong. It's unbelievable how wrong they get things. I ordered a junior double Whataburger, over the app, and when I went to pick it up, the burger literally had no burger patties on it. Nothing. No cheese. And they had the nerve to ask for me to give my food back through the window so they could give me a cold slice of cheese. They should've offered to remake it. I never write reviews but I have to warn others: DO NOT go to this location!! I have given them 3 chances and all 3 times they've failed. Miserably. The first 2 times were just extremely slow and messed up a simple order. The most recent is the worst though: I Ordered from the app & after standing at the counter waiting for 30(!!) minutes, I have to ask someone where my food is.... they then say they "lost" my order. But it took them 30 mins to realize that? Really!? But it gets worse.. Nothing was even offered for my patience/their error.. that's customer service 101, but these people clearly have no knowledge of how to properly run a fast food joint. Avoid like the plague. Wanted to like it but wow they are so disorganized and while we were there they got so many people's orders wrong. The manager was like a deer in the headlights and didn't seem to have any idea what was actually going on. The slowest drive thru I've ever been in. You won't get your food in less than 30 minutes, sometimes longer, even if there aren't many cars waiting in the drive thru. I've tried this location several times hoping it was an off day, but each time had the same wait time. Last time I was there I literally had to move a cone out of the way so I could abandon ship and exit the drive thru without even ordering. I don't know why they can't get it together here. Wow! My husband and I loved it! I have to be honest, after driving around tonight looking for a nicer restaurant to eat dinner and possibly have some drinks after I long week at work-we ended up at Whataburger. And the only reason we stopped to eat here, was because every restaurant had a 45 min wait or longer and there was no room at the bar. We were so impressed by the fresh hamburger and amazing fries! Nathan Martinez, the manager overheard us talking about how shocked we were that it was so delicious, fresh, and NOT greasy the food is. He told us a little bit about Whataburgers history and his favorites. He also gave us a sample of their banana pudding milkshake-yummy! We will be returning and also ordering a "tailgate" pack of meals from their APP for some football games coming up. read more
