Ten minutes go by, my waitress comes in. She finally starts wiping down tables and bringing dishes to her sink. She's talking with the other waitress about reality tv but doesn't check on me. She keeps walking around in front of me, and eventually turns with her back facing me right in front of me talking to the cook. My waffle was cold, didn't get my order right, and the waitress couldn't have possibly cared less. I cashed out and left, and the waitress asked me what f I wanted to take off the waffle, to which I replied "yes, I never got any syrup for it." Left a zero dollar tip, and walked out. I'm in the food service industry, and understand that it gets really tough. Nothing is ever perfect, and everyone is generally just trying to do their best. But I was the waitresses only tab. The other waitress had three. The cook knew I needed syrup, even though it wasn't his job, and the other waitress had three tables. Poor service isn't acceptable especially when you're dead.
