I gave this location another shot and I am sad to report that my second experience was just as bad as the first. So many employees were hanging out talking on the customer side of the front counter that I had to actually ask them to move so I could place my order. The bathroom was super nasty as well, and I watched an employee leave without washing his hands. The fries were so cold and greasy that I asked for new ones, only to have them bring out equally cold and nasty fries. The manager apologized and said they needed to change the grease in their fryers and refunded my money without my asking for it. I appreciated that but almost every review here mentions the nasty fries. People go to Whataburger because their fries are awesome, and if this location is consistently doing nasty fries and have people complaining about the cleanliness of the place for over a year that's a real problem. They just opened a new Whataburger over by the Costco off the freeway. I'll give them a chance next time, but this place will never get another chance from me again.. read more

This place is a good little spot that's quick and efficient but also gives great service, the male restroom was clean. I felt comfortable eating in, also the food was good, my party of two got a bacon cheeseburger meal with onion rings and 9pc buffalo wings with fries. The burger was delicious and the fries were amazing, the onion rings were good, the quality of the chicken was great but it was sauced that well also maybe it's just me but the buffalo wasn't that spicy to me which disappointed me a little but it was still good the size of the wings seemed moderate to slightly smaller in my opinion but it filled me up for the most part I'd definitely try this place out P.S. almost forgot the ranch is crazy good! read more

3 stars because I figure the food is worth 4 and the service is worth 1... I absolutely love Whataburger, I personally think they are one of the best fast food restaurants around for taste! The burgers are amazing and so is their chicken! But the service here is horrible; they take absolutely forever and you better DOUBLE CHECK YOUR ORDER! Because I guarantee they forgot something! Also if you are prone to seizures DO NOT DINE IN!!! This location has flashing emergency lights that pulsate every few seconds lighting up the entire dining room even in the day light! Tables are also usually dirty so good luck finding a place to sit. Whataburger really needs to become as proficient as other highly trafficked places like Chic-Fil-A who have mastered the art of efficiency. 'Been here a few times since they opened, hoping it would get better. It has not. I grew up in Oklahoma with whataburger and when they opened in Springfield, I was excited to see it. Stopped by for a quick bite, but the service was anything but fast or friendly. The staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in helping customers. I waited way too long for a simple order, and when I finally got my food, it was wrong--and cold. When I asked politely for it to be corrected, I was met with eye-rolls and attitude. No apology, no urgency. This is basic customer service, and they completely dropped the ball. I get that it's fast food, but that doesn't mean customer care should be nonexistent. Wow! 2 years later they still can't figure it out. Came in at 7:45 am and was the only customer there. Well I got my coffee immediately which is not a good thing when they are finally handing you your food almost 15 minutes later! Which of course means the coffee is nearly cold. They should be called "whhatajoke" way overrated. The hamburgers are more expensive than sonic and the exact same thing for more money and a large chili cheese fries was $6 for basically a small fries with a little chili and cheese on them. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a fast food restaurant by a mile. If I could give a lower score I would. I came by at midnight last night to get a burger. I spent nearly $11 on a double with a medium fry which is Black Sheep prices at 10% the quality. I waited in line for 45 minutes to be given cold food. I didn't realize the food was cold until my wife looked at the food while driving home. I just wanted to leave after waiting so long. My wife then called to complain and got the INCOMPETENT manager who handed me my food. She then blamed us, said we need to "set our expectations" and told us that we shouldn't have accepted the food. A slightly trained chimp could do a better job than this manager. Chick-fil-A deals with lines like this for most of the day every day and still gets customers in and out within 10-15 minutes. This place is managed entirely by the most incompetent morons to ever disgrace the inside of a fast food restaurant. I wouldn't hire them to scrape dog poop off the lawn. At this point I don't even know how to get my money back. I ordered through the app and am hoping their customer service is slightly less garbage through their app but my complaint said it would take 5-7 business days to be addressed so those hopes are low. Thinking about a chargeback from my back instead. Do yourself a favor and light $12 (per meal you're looking for) on fire and eat some expired saltine crackers a homeless guy gave you instead. Got me a late night dinner/ breakfast at Whataburger and it was one of the absolute Worst meals I've ever had! I ordered a grilled cheese and pancakes with sausage. I also asked for ranch which they charged me for but didn't actually give me, despite the tweaker at the window telling me the ranch was in the bag. She was so geetered out that it was comical. The grilled cheese was cold and the cheese itself was orange and grainy, not melty. The sausage rivaled a leather hockey puck and the pancakes were dry and crumbly, tasting like they had been cooked in the same dirty griddle as their hamburger patties. The "butter" for the pancakes tasted like rancid crisco. To say I was unimpressed is an understatement. I was disgusted. I will NEVER eat a Whata-crappy-burger again! I don't recommend eating at this location late at night. The drive through is terrible. And not enough staff working. The first time my wife and I stopped at this location we were told it would be 30 minutes before we got or food we drove off. The second time we were told ten to fifteen minutes. So we ordered. My wife requested no mustard on her burger and extra BBQ sauce on it. We got to this location at 1 am. We didn't get or food until two am.( pathetic). We get to the window tell the lady at the window about the slow wait. She didn't even acknowledge my wife speaking to her just slams the window shut in her face.( my wife took a picture of her on her phone.) So Betty the bitch comes back with our food sits it on the counter. My wife again tries to tell her about the slow wait and her rudeness. Betty the bitch slams the window in her face again. I've been in the driveway here for ten minutes after waiting in the menu area for almost five. The guy st the window is on the phone with what appears to be a personal call while I am outside the window. There are three other employees walking around and not one has approached the window to say anything to me at all. I love feeling like a second class citizen in this hick town everyday. I'm not sure what's going on. I know the location hasn't been open that long, but I've come here multiple times and had issues. I pull in at 4:53 am. Car 2 in the entire line, guy pulls forward and I'm asked to hold. I order, pull up, watch the clock tick by. I left the drive thru with my food at 5:15am and I ordered breakfast food. Got biscuits and gravy with hash browns and a drink. Had to give the guy back the drink to out ice in the "warm" ice tea. Gravy was cold, hashbrowns as well. They also don't extend discounts to veterans which I can live with, but the food being that bad, I'll never return and neither should you! The workers at this location were hands down some of the best, most professional employees I have ever seen. When traveling through Springfield, I was thrilled to see a Whataburger as it reminded me of my childhood. The experience of ordering and eating there was horrendous. We sat in a drive thru line that didn't move for 20 minutes. When we received our food, it was in awful shape. My youngest son asked for a plain kid's meal burger. It was slathered with mustard to an extend we couldn't even wipe it way for him to eat his meat. My chicken sandwich had the dressing on the OUTSIDE OF THR BUN. They got my order wrong. I had to go through the drive through twice. Then my scrambled eggs were inedible because of the salt put on them. Too much salt on the biscuit as well.
