This Whataburger is notoriously and profoundly slow. I am not sure who is to blame but it's been this way for years. With no line we sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes. I don't want a voucher or a compensation, I just want this fixed. They even have two lanes now and it's done nothing to make it faster. read more

My burger was drier than the Saraha Desert. The fries were stale and had zero flavor to them. The staff were just standing around in the kitchen talking and not paying attention. This place is terrible. My wife wanted a burger so I thought, what the heck, I'll try Whataburger ... BIG MISTAKE!! Ordered two burgers (all the way with cheese ... which they charged extra for) and a large fry to take home. Well, the burgers inside the bun were as flat as pancakes, not hot, AND the cheese was missing along with the tomatoes. YGTBSM!! They were however covered with some sort of shredded lettuce. The fries were like an afterthought. Not warm and just a bunch of tiny fry pieces jammed into their container. Guaranteed, we will NEVER go there again. They threw two small ketchup's in the bag, but NO napkins. Who the heck runs a crappy joint like this??! Total rip-off. No one really cares anymore. Although, we normally get good service across the street at Arbys (they've got the meat!) where foodis always tasty and hot. The people here are stupid nice. As someone who's not used to receiving great drive thru service, this was a breath of fresh air that they force down your throat. Would give NO STARS if I could! Went to the drive thru and came home to discover the super dry/overcooked chicken sandwich for me and the same for my daughters chicken tenders it almost tasted old like it was just sitting to the side and got reheated in the fryer(I'm a former cook so I know what that looks and taste like). Had to call several times to reach a manager that then told me they couldn't refund the money to the card I used because of "security purposes" so I called another location and spoke with another manager to confirm and of course he said he's never heard anything like that and they can but I would have to take my food back for the refund which I did not feel like doing after JUST ripping and running in this texas heat so I just left it alone but I will NOT BE BACK and I suggest you pick another location before coming to this one!!! read more

let me put it this way, I watched 2 episodes of the office and still was in line. I would have left but they block you in so you can't leave. I'm in prison with the expectation that my bail is paying high price for what I assume will be cold food. As a Texan I know there will be a wait at Whataburger, but almost an hour is insanity. This was not it, boss. I ordered the Double Whataburger and knew from the first bite that it was a mistake. The patties were dry and the burger was very bland. I tried my aunt's mushroom swiss and that was 10x better -- still mediocre. Last time I came to Texas and went to Whataburger, I remember it being a lot better than this . I stay in the area and this is the closest location I visit but the food is always cold and they never give you condiments even when you order at the intercom. My last experience was simple I got a honey butter chicken biscuit and still had to request for ketchup on top of them not being prepared for cash change. I'm not surprised to see the already low number of stars for this location. I absolutely love Whataburger and I think it's definitely one of the best fast food chains in the country. However, the Schertz location has been terrible for a long time. I've received burgers with moldy buns and I've waited an hour in their drive thru. I'm not sure if it's poor management or what the reason is, but this is a location that always seems to be busy but yet provides the worst service, cold food, and inedible food (moldy). They did a great job of handling the Whataburger app process, which is rather backwards compared to most rewards apps. You have to give them a number or have them scan your barcode to get credit, rather than scanning a barcode from a receipt. I went through the drive through and they asked if I had the app once I was done ordering, and then had me pull over into a separate line. They came out to deliver my drink and take my payment quickly. As a kid we used to joke that it was called "Wait-a-burger". Three cars behind me got their order before mine. The staff member came back out and asked for my order over again. Overall the weight was less than 10 mins. They did give us a free hash brown, un prompted, for having to wait so long, which I thought was very nice. The taquitos were just as expected. The hash browns were hot, fresh, and greasy. read more

I said I have no idea, I ate one of the fries and said this shit is ice cold. And he told me "what do you want me to do about it, I'm not running orders" I in turn cursed them all out yelling profanities at those dumb ass kids, then threw the food in the garbage and walked out. This place is a joke. Do not waste your time, Whataburger in Texas sucks. I only went because Whataburger app said I can get a patty melt for free. Well that patty melt was the worst one I have ever had. The bun was just a thin slice of bread smashed and all soggy from sitting there for 20 mins. Fires were under cooked and cold. Came to whataburger after sonic turned their lights off on us as we pulled up at 11:20. Whataburger service was phenomenal and we should have stopped here first. Wish I read the reviews before stopping in. Upon arriving I pulled into the far right lane and waiting for a good 7 min and even said hello before realizing no one was going to answer. I should have just left then but figured maybe that one was broken and pulled into the left lane. They took my order and we waited for 30 min before even pulling up to pay.
