We ordered 2 salads, a Cobb and a blue. Ingredients were all fresh and the portions were adequate (who wouldn't want a bit more chicken?) Want to love this location but it is lacking zaxby charm you find in other states where they are more predominate. Service is slow, food isn't cooked correctly or its rushed. Staff attitude is way under par for any place "serving customers". Served open ranches with food. When asked zaxby specific questions staff lies. Is it a lack of training absolutely! Lack of leadership or accountability is almost on the wall obvious so training lacks. Would rather be told "i don't know" then lied to. If you can lie you can screw up food. You lose credibility. Stopped here at Zaxby's tonight for dinner. Restaurant was clean, so was the bathroom. The food was pretty good, but I used to live in Georgia (where it originated) so I've had better Zaxby's. The tenders were great, but the fries lacked a bit of seasoning and the wings were bland. There also wasn't a lot of meat on the wings. I've had this Zaxby's before and we came in about an hour before they were closing so maybe that was the reasoning for the way the food was cooked. I'll definitely be back. I've lived in Texas for a long time and have always been told that Zaxby's is superior to other chicken places. It's not, it's just average. I like that. The breading on the chicken isn't too thick and the fries are good. We ordered the loaded fries, and they were just average, very salty. And they don't allow you to upgrade your fries to the loaded fries, you're forced to get an entire order on the side, which is strange. I'd have paid for the upgrade, gladly. My husband did not like the chicken wings at all, he said they were rubbery and small. He didn't even eat them. The coleslaw was really good, think KFC. It was ridiculously cold that both my hubby and I were incredibly uncomfortable eating inside the establishment. I wouldn't drive from San Antonio to Cibilo for this place ever again. I had been looking forward to trying the new Sensation Zalad. I'm over that now. It would be great but for an egg roll that could hav e ben from a gas station and had been on the roller grill for a few days. I took it to the counter and showed them expecting maybe a manager would come out or they would bring me a new one that wasn't burnt. Nope! I spoke to another employee that brought out food to a nearby table and shows her. "Yeah, they look burnt but on the inside they're good". I tried it, she was wrong. We don't have any zaxby's close to where I live in Selma so while we were in the area we decided to stop in and give it a try. The lady at the drive-thru was very polite, courteous and quick. The chicken tenders are a little on the small side but they have a very good crunch and are juicy in the middle. They definitely give you more than enough fries which are crispy and seasoned well. It would have been nice though, to have gotten less fries and bigger tenders, especially for the price. If it was a better value it would have gotten five stars. My experience here was awful. While ordering I got a bad feeling. It's a cute room but is dirty. We both ordered the signature sandwich combo spicy. The tray it was served on was filthy with crud. The bags the sandwiches were in were dirty on the outside with sauce or something. There was not a hint of spice. The chicken tasted like it was old as was the oil it was cooked in. First time at a zaxbys; chicken was hot (physically), flavorful, and Zax sauce is good. I got the chicken finger sandwich meal deal. Most of the meal deals run in the $7 to 7.50 range, but for a limited time a lot of the meal deal sandwich combos are selling for $5.99, including fries and a drink from the hundred flavor Drink Machine. When the lady delivered my plate to my booth, I asked for an extra zax sauce because there's never enough sauce on the original sandwich. It's 2 pm, and there are 20 people in line inside and 20 people in line in the drive thru. The wait was only about 8-10 minutes for my food to come. Prices are pretty high. read more

This location appears to have no one in charge. No one seems to be coordinating the orders or making sure things are getting out. People standing around not getting orders out that are in the window. Lots of people waiting for orders and it seems very very in efficient. There needs to be a manager on duty who is making sure Orders are getting out. read more

Oh boy let me tell u about my experience I just had. We pulled into the drive thru at 9:40 and asked if they were still open and the worker said "no we have 30 minutes" so we proceeded to place an order. We pay for our order and they tell us to pull up to the "yellow line" we do. We noticed another car pull up and we saw them get pulled into a parking spot and then get their food soon after that. At this point it is 10pm. Still nothing!! At about 10:07pm I called to ask if they forgot about us and the lady on the phone said "no we are dropping the food fresh" another 10 minutes pass and another worker comes out to say they are closed and looked very confused as to why we were parked at the yellow line. We showed him the receipt and he immediately went Inside and said "I got you" another few minutes pass and we see a group of workers leave and go to their cars so at that point my mom went inside to see what was going on since it was 10:20 at this point... they tell my mom they are sorry and would throw in free cookies and extra goodies for the inconvenience (if you call extra ranch packets goodies) not even 2 minutes later we get our food ... the chicken tender basket was cold and stale after being told they were going to "drop fresh"and the lettuce in the salads were brown and wilted. I don't recommend coming to Zaxby's the hour before close unless you want to be forgotten and end up with cold old food. This is my first time eating Zaxby's. We got to try various menu items. The chicken strips are pretty good. It taste a little like canes but the crispy skin is better. The nuclear wings are spicy but not overbearing. The workers are really nice even though it's really busy in here they did a great job. I'm glad to have a new restaurant here in Cibolo . I decided to go in to find out what the problem was since I ordered right off the menu..and the counter girl told me "we are very busy you have to wait".
