I usually try not to rate fast food establishments unless they do something really annoying like long waits in the drive through or getting my order very wrong. I usually grab a quick lunch at this Whataburger because it is so convenient. I am posting this comment just to give all Whataburgers a shot out on their Cobb Salad!!!! They hit the mark on this one. It is a good sized salad and it is full of extras, not just lettuce. They give you plenty of chicken, good bacon and a good sized boiled egg. This is a great salad for a fast food place. I even prefer the Whataburger Cobb Salad over the Chick-Fil-A version. If you want to feel like you're eating somewhat healthier at a fast food restaurant try the Whataburger Cobb; you will not be disappointed!! read more

The burger was decent! I got the triple burger and it was very meaty. I could not finish it. Whatever you do don't order the chicken wings. The photo at the drive thru shows crispy wings. I got warmed soggy wings in buffalo sauce. You get a sauce on the side so I got another buffalo and that's just straight out of the fridge and ice cold. We came to Texas for the weekend and Whataburger was on our list of places to try, specifically the Patty Melt and oh boy, it did not disappoint! My Patty Melt was good! Its on Texas toast, has two patties, monterey jack cheese, grilled onions and their pepper cream sauce. Worth stopping by, we purchased a second one to go, reheated prefectly in the microwave. They also have this awesome jalapeno ranch that is amazing and has a nice kick. I purchased a few to bring home since they did not have the large bottles in store. read more

When visiting Texas, I made Whataburger my first stop/meal on the trip. I wanted to see what this place was all about & if it really lived up the hype. And honestly, it was a solid hamburger. I'm not going to lie. Right off the bat, however, I will say I was a bit disappointed in the turnaround time. I walked in to a nearly empty location. And yet, it still took way longer than I expected for my simple burger to come out. It looked like they were making things to order, but it still felt like it was taking longer than it should have. With that said, at least the food, when it did come out, was hot and fresh. And at least it gave me time to enjoy the freshly brewed black ice tee (unsweetened for me). That's certainly something you don't see in fast food chains out West! As mentioned, the food was solid. Was it the best burger I've ever had? No. Is it one of the best I've had at a big chain? Possibly. But it all depends on if you are a fan of mustard and salt. The burger is definitely mustard forward. And it was overly salted as well. Too things I could easily get over, but I could also understand why someone wouldn't like that. Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the softer bun. I like a firmer, more sturdy bun for my burgers. I've heard the patty melt is the way to go at Whataburger. However, I figured for my first go at it, the best thing is to just get the standard burger. And, well, that's how my meal felt. Standard. Nothing to really write home about. But there was at least enough potential there that I definitely wanted to go back and explore the menu more. This won't be my last Whataburger meal. I've been going to Whataburger for 60 years and today was my last visit because this isn't the first time they've gotten it this bad. I happen to love Whataburger almost as much as my grandfather, so I'd looked forward to my meal here! I got a double burger, double cheese, no bun, with everything (onion, tomato, lettuce, jalapenos, Spicy ketchup, mustard), which they serve in a little container so you can cut it up and eat as you like. When you eat in, they give you a number and then bring your order to you along with all of the condiments you could think of, which was interesting as I'm used to having to grab them myself. Since it was so late and I didn't want anything too heavy before bed, I ended up getting the Double Meat Whataburger without cheese. The burger was very good! The toppings that come on the burger itself were plentiful and tasted fine. I would compare the burger to more of a Wendy's burger rather than a Five Guys burger in terms of size but still, I was not disappointed. The grilled chicken sandwiches looked excellent too. All in all, I had a good first experience with Whataburger. Nothing spectacular or amazing, but just what I needed. The restaurant itself was clean and staff was definitely very friendly. They deliver food to your table and come around to offer if any condiments are needed. The food here was pretty good, and it was fresh when we received it. We ordered regular burgers (one single, one double both a tad dry), fries (decent) and onion rings (not so fresh). The lot was fairly clean, as for the inside I'm not too sure. It was pretty busy in there, so take it as a good sign. The drive-through clothes at a normal pace, depending on how much others order in front of you. Sadly enough, we got stuck behind someone slow. The buns were cold, they had a tiny, thin piece of meat that was dried out and cold, unripe tomato, clumps of something on them that looked like cabbage chunks that turned out to be chunks of the lettuce core with not even ONE green leaf of lettuce. To add more insult, it cost us almost $20.00 for this uneatable mess.
