I was the only customer at the counter. Waited 10 minutes then asked was the counter closed. A very disgruntled man came and took my order then slow played me getting my order. This is the closest whataburger to where I live so I always come here but every time I come here at night the drive thru line doesn't seem to move. Last night I was in the drive thru line for 30 minutes before actually getting to the menu to place my order. I finally get to the menu and the guy tells me to hold on. I waited ten minutes until I finally said something. I placed my order and moved forward in line only to wait 15 minutes more to actually get my food. The night employees are really nice but the service is REALLY slow and that's bc they weren't even busy on the inside. If you want your food fast, go to another location. Stopped at this whataburger on the way out of town to Dallas. We got in line at 10:50 am when we got to the speaker to order it was 11:10. They refused to let us order breakfast even though we were there before 11. By the time we got our food and left it was 11:40. Frequent the Whataburger chain as its one of the best places for a fast food burger here in Texas. While here in Midland for work, placed and order for two pancake platters and a jalapeño cheese biscuit at 8:37 am for dine in. It's now 9:11 and we still haven't received our food. This is ridiculous and there are a lot of other patrons waiting still for their food as well. It's not super busy and I don't see what the hold up is for breakfast. I love Whataburger but this is without a doubt the worst service I've ever seen. I waiting in the drive through no less than 30 minutes before I even got to order and when I finally got to order I waited another 30-45 mintutes. If there hadn't been a curb blocking me in I would have left. Absolutely ridiculous. People go to fast food restaurants for fast service. Not to be kept waiting for an hour. The people are nice there but the service is soooooooo sllllooooooowwwww and about half the time when I do drive trough in the morning they get my order wrong and give me a sausage burrito .... and I hate sausage, lol. It's so much so that the last time I turned around to get my bacon burrito - adding 20 minutes Total to my trip to work- I head the manager say she hates sausage she ordered a bacon before I even told them the issue ... We have eaten at most fast food chains in Midland. Most have awful customer services. We arrived at this location after ditching a similar establishment after waiting for 10 minutes in the drive through. It was fairly business as I walked up. A kid with drive through head gear stepped over so I didn't have to wait(+). It took a while to get my food only due to a lady in front of me was ordering for a small army. Once she cleared it wasn't long. Other Whataburgers in town are bad but this one has their shit together. read more

This is hands-down the slowest fast-food restaurant I have ever been to. I just waited over 30 minutes in the drive thru line. I often wait just as long in the restaurant. In addition, they never melt the cheese on the burger. I don't prefer eating a cold slice of cheese on a hamburger. read more

Absolutely terrible... Burger was cold, and my large fries were undercooked and soggy. Place was dirty, tables not cleaned all while a manager sat next to me. He did make the guy who brought my food out go back and get me more fries, because it was like they dumped a small fry into a large fry container. Entire lobby floor was greasy and slippery... No, it was not wet and had not just been mopped either. Bathroom was also disgusting, dirty mirror, trash on the floor... Just a bad experience. This has got to be the worst Whataburger (WAB) in Midland although I admit I haven't been to the I-20 or Big Spring Street locations which, the latter according to some friends, is known to break out into fist fights on the late night. Midkiff location seems to be synonymous with people who can't seem to take an order correctly. You ask one of the foreign exchange students from Thailand or eastern Europe, they get it right. They even crack a smile! You ask one of these privileged Midland kids and they tilt their heads to the side like you speak Greek to them. Amazing. Then I get berated during one of my visits by a manager named David Rossler who seems to think I should know everything there is to know about WAB stuff. Having an attitude and talking terse to me only shows me how small, ignorant and insignificant this man is. And it's clear his crew takes after him, except the nice foreign exchange students who were the only ones who seemed happy to see me. Overall, this place has not since seen my business and won't. I also encourage any one to just go to HEB across the street and buy the raw ingredients, some of which have Whataburger branding on them, and make it yourself. You'll save yourself some money and a lot of drama from dealing with entitled snotty little oil kids and their inept, amateur managers who think I should be glad he's the boss of that place. Avoid this location like the plague. Unless you want your blood to boil faster than the water in the cup they used to heat your morning coffee and vermin crawling along the floor. If you see them in the lobby, you have to wonder where they came from? Kitchen maybe? Use caution. read more

Stopped by to order 3 meals. On 22 March 17 at 635pm. Will only go over one meal. Multiply by three and the total is accurate. Ordered 1 Cheese burger and 1 order of fries. Cheeseburger was 3/4" in height(Buns and meat). Resembled a Pancake instead of a Hamburger. No cheese was included but paid for. Looks like they smashed the buns and meat together. Although editable, it was not appetizing. Fries totaled 25. We did nothing to make them mad! When all said and done. It equaled an Elementary School Lunch. I guess they read us as Humans that they could put one over on. And, they did. You can count on my friends and Family never visiting this Store again. Have a Safe and Productive Week. read more
