This is my favorite WB, the people are exceptional. Freindly, inviting, accommodating group. Never a bad meal.

This location on I-10 and Silber is clean, and the drive through isn't bad. It's also spacious. It's in busy street near a lot of food places like Chik-fil-A, the theater, and Walmart. That whole side can get congested, but in the later afternoons, the police direct traffic near Chik-fil-A. In general, all Whataburger locations take a while because it's made to order. I happened to get there around 11:30 am on a weekday, and the drive thru was not busy. I waited maybe 5 minutes before someone brought out my meal. Service was great from the drive thru, pay window and the person who brought my meal to me. I've always been a fan of their Whatachick'n bites with the white gravy and fries and get the kid's meal. I also love their patty melt which I opted for instead because I was craving a burger. Holy cow, the patty melt meal is so expensive now. It's $12.45 without tax. You could get a nicer burger at Rodeo Goat or the doddy melt at Hopdoddy. For just $3-4 more. It still tastes ok, a tad salty. The double patties were cooked more medium, and the bread doesn't hold up as well but has a good grill flavor. The fries aren't as good as they used to be. They still have the best apple pies cause of the crust. I would come back for that, but geez, the meals are getting too pricey for a fast food joint. read more

I have come to conclusion this is absolutely the Worst of all Whataburger! If you going to have workers teach them the proper ways to cook food and notice the difference! I disagree when a restaurant try to serve you something you didn't order! But they think this is the correct way! But that's what happens when you have nothing but Hispanic or Mexican employees that don't know how to cook correctly or understand the differences in cooking! I stopped by the drive-through around 10 PM on a Monday night. There was only a few cars in front of us so we got to make our orders and grab our food pretty quickly. I ordered a Whataburger Jr. and it was a pretty average cheeseburger. The onion chunks were a bit thick compared to the burger itself so it would have been nice if they were a bit thinner and smaller but apart from that it hit my cheeseburger craving. read more

Unfortunately, I experienced an off day for this Whataburger location. In general I am a fan of the food but this time around, the service and overall experience was just really bad. I placed a mobile order for dine in. It was a sandwich, fries, and drink. Food took 15 minutes and I never got the drink with my meal so I had to go up to the counter multiple times to get someone's attention. After I finally got my cup, there was no ice and the drinks were all room temp - not even close to cold. An employee got me some ice from another machine and when I filled it with Sprite, it was flat. I tried the Powerade and it was clearly watered down. Something was really off. The fries were underseasoned and underfried. The patty melt was good though. An employee never came around and offered napkins nor ketchup so I just fended for myself and pretended we were in the middle of a war where items like napkins were rationed due to mass shortages. The staff seemed really overwhelmed so I assume I either visited at a busy time or they had staff not show up to work. I did my best to be nice to the staff despite the bad experience. They didn't look like they were having a good day and I can understand that. I'm just sad that I paid $2 - $3 for a nasty drink. read more

Not to be confused with Wankerburger, which is a very insulting British place. This is the location near Walmart on Silber Road just to the northwest of the intersection of I-10 and I 610. It's usually fairly quickly in and out unless there's a big line. It's courteous and often fresh although a few times the fries have been cold. I can't give a Whataburger more than a 3 though, and it's not the most consistent in the world - but is definitely better than a lot of locations. read more

So after attending our class, tightening the knot the wifey says she's hungry, so of course we go to where any true Texan eats at-Whataburger! I don't know why I'm even leaving a review, because you already know the food is gonna be great. But interesting fact, this location has a combo lock on the restroom doors, in which the cashier needs to give you the combination to open. I'd this place dangerous? I didn't ask, but I didn't feel unsafe being there at night. Back to the food! I had to try the new blue cheese burger which was delicious, only complaint I would have is the ranch sauce makes this burger really messy. At 5:45a this morning I went to. this Whatabuger location and ordered one breakfast sandwich at the drive thru. 15 minutes later I was still sitting in a line consisting of me and the one car in front of me. I finally gave up and left. I've been eating at Houston Whataburgers for over 50 years. The Silber location is the sorriest run franchise of them all. I asked for one thing on my cheeseburger, which was mustard and I ordered extra mustard, and there was barely enough on the burger to tell that there was mustard on it, plus the never ending saga of the shake machine that doesn't work and truly, this is the only location I've had a problem with that, on a positive note, the staff was extremely friendly. Listen i understand that this is Whataburger .. a staple in the community and it was my choice to stop in the middle of the hustle and bustle of lunch but regardless I expect consistency. Hot and fresh food! Instead I received a thrown together meal. I never got a receipt because I pd with the attendant in the plot. I was told to pull into the makeshift line on the side but it was totally chaotic. I was delivered the wrong order initially, had to wait while the main line was steady moving only to receive a mediocre product the was slightly warm. Pretty decent Whataburger especially if you're working in the area and need a quick lunch. Everybody is friendly, the iced tea is fresh, and the food is hot and ready before you know it! I don't really need to describe the food at Whataburger do I? The only problems there is that the parking lot is small and they take up a lot of spaces for online pickup orders which were all empty while I was there in the middle of the lunch rush. Ooh, Whataburger. This is obviously location-specific. The food is well... what to be expected from Whataburger. I like to go when I'm supposed to be sleeping - right when the time hits for that HBCB - IYKYK. And it never disappoints. Ever. Now the service - of course at this hour, it's only a drive-thru option. Let's just say we all are operating on bedtime at this hour. It's possibly the slowest for the simplest of orders. Honestly can't fault them - errrbody tryna sleep. But yea, just be prepared for a wait (long lines or not) when ordering (when you should be sleeping). This place is terrible. I ordered food and asked for whatasized only to be given a regular cup. Then they don't serve unsweetened iced tea and then I went into the dining area and saw the tables were filthy. Nasty, sticky table tops with rings all over from drinks of previous patrons. They're a table in here with 3 police officers and they've managed to mess their orders up too. It STINKS in here like stale soda and food AND my table is uneven so now I'm trying to find a way to sit without spilling stuff on the floor but it's the only clean table in here. Even then, I think there's soda on the back of my chair. I remember when Whataburger used to be an amazing establishment but this place is a dump. It was a bad experience until the site manager intervened, she was professional. 4 guys who arrived after us received their food super quick so we think this girl Alejandra gave them our order. We waited for more than 30 minutes and I even had enough time to download this Yelp app for the first time. We had to ask twice until they decided to involve the nice manager who really solved it. This restaurant is cozying up with a health code violation for serving cold food -- well below proper food temperature. In the short drive between picking it up and driving home, under 4 minutes, the burger temperature went down so much. When I opened up the burger and it felt cold to the touch, I was surprised enough to check its temperature. It was 86 degrees. A well done burger should be at 165°. When it's 80 degrees different, it is unhealthy food temperature. The staff is stretched thin, overworked, and the wait time is long. I had to warm the burger up at home. This is a disappointing Whataburger. I'm a big guy I love my Whataburger and other stores have definitely set the standard of what Whataburger is about. This isn't my first visit specially not to this location. Finally today I have had enough of this store. Constant issues everyday missing hash browns, missing a taquito, not giving sauces after asking if you want condiments, cold burgers, this isn't kids in this store this is seasoned workers people who have had jobs. Where is the standard in this location absolutely inconsistent with delivery over and over again. It's a shame especially with everything happening to under deliver my miles. Hate to do this now esp with what's going on with Covid 19 but this is the 3rd straight time I've had problems with this location. The first 2 I specifically asked if my double meat was included and both times they were not so had to wait an extra 5-10 minutes to get it. This time I placed an online order at 7pm. I arrived at 7:05. I sat in the pickup line until about 7:30 before my food came out and that was after I was asked 4 separate times what name was on the order (mine) and what I ordered. Seriously?!? 4 SEPARATE TIMES!!! And then when I finally got my food almost 30 min after I ordered it, I didn't get even one apology (the manager is one of the 4 times I was asked) or a consolation 'freebie' (cookie/pie/nothing). Oh, and the fries were overcooked and hard. What's the point of ordering online if it takes you 3-4 times longer than ordering at the restaurant?!? I liked the location because it was nice and new and close to home but the service definitely needs updating. read more
