Drive thru was long. Went in and got food in no time. Arrived so fast, I hadn't even put my change away. I must say, it wasn't that fast, the cashier had a few technical difficulties. But still, pretty quick. I get home, the sign that something could be wrong, was the color of the wrapping paper. It was white instead of yellow. That meant no cheese. Writing this as I'm in line on a weeknight but for some reason it's as slow as two 90 year olds trying to get it on. Molasses slow. Other reviews seem to consistently back this up. I know people are working slower with covid, but my experience tonight was inexcusable. Don't bother place a curbside order, they won't come out until 15-20 minutes later. I placed an order scheduled to be ready for 9:30. I am there and have not seen any curbside people out by 9:40. I call you ask the eta, a younger man says he is looking at my order and will bring it out. Another five minutes rolls around, nothing. I go in to get my order, and it had been sitting at the counter READY. I asked the assistant, or who I presume to be manager why the delay when it's been sitting here. She had no reply. They will overcharge you. I ordered a whataburger jr and had it whatasized, the menu clearly said it was only 80 cents to whatasize, yet they insisted they had to charge that price twice since I was going from a small fry to a large instead of a medium to a large. When the manager was brought in there was no accommodations, they just explained why it was charged twice. I don't think it's right to have it misleading on the menu if you're actually going to be charged twice. I even took a picture to show how obvious it was that I should've only been upcharged once. I know it's only a dollar and not a big deal, but it still stands that they did not honor their menu and gave bad customer service. read more

Breakfast starts a 11pm. Get yourself a Honey butter biscuit. Your welcome. This a 24hr, late night eats, munchie world champion. They have the tangy fancy ketchup. Jalapenos can be added to your sandwich. They now have the chicken strip, bbq sauce, texas toast, and cheese sammich is now permanent. You used to have to wait on that. I have yet to dine in the dining room but the drive through late at night is horrendous. I've been 2 nights in a row around 11p-2a and the girl that takes your order is so rude. Horrible experience would not go back. when walked in i was not greeted. i stood for about 5 minutes at the counter before an employee actually came out and took my order. As noted there is a new address for this restaurant, now 3624 OST, now they need new management and staff. This was the worst Whataburger experience I have ever had and my wife and I love Whataburger. From the moment I tried to order at the drive-thru things were bad. The lady taking orders didn't speak clearly, there was so much background noise in the form of laughing and horseplay it was distracting. I moved up and got to the window and paid. I promptly got my two drinks and then I waited, and waited and waited, and they were not busy. One car behind me and three cars in the parking lot at 10:30 on a Sunday morning. Then it got worse. Just got back from The drive thru. My girl and I ordered 2 meals. I got a sweet tea, upon driving home, I took a sip from it. I GOT ZERO LIQUID. I slurped a straw full of sugar and it was disgusting. I had to spit that crap out the window. Got home, threw away my tea, due to the fact that it had so much sugar in the bottom I couldn't dare try to mix it. Then when we both went to try our fries, it was as if they dipped it in the fryer for 5 seconds and pulled it out and said "Looks good to me." Absolutely disgusting. Every time I try to go here, it's something wrong. But what can you expect from a fast food place in the 3rd Ward. Every employee is disrespectful, and managers probably don't give a crap. Now I've worked in the food service for years, I respect these people for all they do, but the customer service at the window has got to get better. Well, I was in Houston for the day for business, and I was hungry. I ask the Cab driver, where can we stop for a quick bite. He says, "wataburger", so I said, yea, sure, a hamburger is fine.
