I've never seen so many Whataburger chains in my life, but I guess that's because I'm from Cali. A friend of mine that once lived here in Houston told me to give it a try once I'm in town and let me say... I've tried it, but nothing was memorable except for their chicken sandwich and fries. Wow. The service is so so so slow here. Especially in the drive-through and strangely enough, even if you are the only car ordering. I get that they make everything to order, but are they so slow because they have to the grocery store each time I come through? When you finally get up to the window, you get someone who is even slower with getting your change and food back to you. Also, careful with the sharp turns in the drive-thru. Avoid this place like the plague! Consistently slow, and management doesn't seem to care. Employees are slow and lazy, and the quality of the food is hit and miss. I spend an average of seven minutes at the drive through, with some wait times as long as fifteen minutes. When they do get the order right, quality is a crap-shoot. One week it's an excessively greasy burger, the next, it's half raw fries. Order a honey-butter chicken biscuit, and good luck with the honey-butter. Or even getting a biscuit. To say I do not like Whataburger would be completely wrong. I actually really like Whataburger, but you have got to do something about the store at 6405 San Felipe, Houston (77057). Over the last three years the service and food has been terrible. And my experience last night was the straw that broke the camels back. I pulled into the drive through about 9:20 pm. I placed my order. I was then told to pull around to the window. The employee did not read back my order to confirm it, or give me a price. I asked how much I was going to pay (because the employee did not offer the price), and then basically had to restate my entire order. Then I was asked, for the first time, what I wanted to drink. Then I was given the price. For the record I asked for a honey barbecue chicken strip sandwich meal large with an unsweetened ice tea. And I added a small French fry per my wife's request for a snack. When I pulled around to the window, I was ignored for several minutes. The cars behind me had people come out and pay and get their orders while I sat at the window being ignored. After several minutes an employee finally opened the window and said, " You had the Whataburger with cheese right?" At this point I was already annoyed and my mood worsened. I replied no that is not what I ordered. I was then asked what I had ordered. And I restated my order again. The employee then offered to take my money. At this point I almost asked for a manager, but given that I have had repeated problems at this location I opted not to, since Managment has done nothing to fix the problems for years. And I do not believe that the management of this store cares about fixing the problems. I was given my drink. I had been in the drive through for at least 5 minutes at this point. If I had my order in hand this would not have been an issue, since the food is made when the order is placed. But I did not have my order, I barely had my drink. I was then asked to pull forward so that other customers could be serviced. At this Whataburger this is normal. However, I am sure you can understand that at this point my frustration continued to rise. To basically feel like I was being told that I was going to be ignored so others could helped? Not a good way to treat an upset customer. But I pulled forward. By the time my food was brought to me the first time it was 9:40 pm. Now experience at this store has taught me to check the order. As i expected, the order was wrong. I called the employee back. She seemed annoyed that i would have the nerve to call her back and point out what was wrong. Again, this common at this location. 3 minutes later my food was brought out. Thankfully it was right this time. It was not hot, but everything I ordered was there so I cut my losers and went home. Time when I left 9:43 pm. 23 minutes. For a cold meal that was wrong the first time it was brought to me. This is unacceptable. I have frequented your stores at 6520 Southwest freeway, 77074; 9617 Bissonnet, 77036; 12401 Westheimer, 77077 and one on Mason road in Katy. These other locations the staff is very friendly. And most importantly they get the order right every time. Yet the San Felipe location, I expect the staff to be the stand offish, the order to be wrong, the staff to be annoyed when I point out that what I was given was not what I paid for, for the food to be luke warm at best and certainly not hot, and the management to sometimes try to make things right but not be interested in fixing the long term problem. This is the location closest to where I live. I do not want to drive to a different location. I want my order to be right the first time. I want it to be hot. And I would like to be treated like a customer not an inconvenience. I do not feel this is being done. And I will not frequent this location again for some time. read more

I went through the drive here on the morning of August 13th around 5:30am and it was a disaster. I waited about 25 minutes for me food. The person in front of me was pulled to the side so they could deliver his food. He sat there the entire time, even after I left. The woman at the drive through had no clue what I ordered until I told her. She then proceeded to tell me (while I didn't complain) that she was just waiting for the fries to come up. I finally got my food and big surprise, ICE COLD fries. She didn't even apologize for the wait or than me for coming. When the food finally came up she just handed it to me and closed the window. I've only been here for breakfast and used the drive through, so this review is based on that experience. The line in the drive through is always super long in the mornings. They usually have someone outside forming two lines to deliver the orders. When ordering, they seem to rush you because it's so busy. There's been many times when I've had to repeat my order several times and it still wasn't right. I understand that you're trying to move the line, but trust me when I say the line will move faster if you slow down, and get the order correct. I need a chicken biscuit with NO honey butter sauce. Thank you. Overall, they get the job done and you can move through the drive through in about 8 minutes max. I'm usually out in about 5 minutes, which is great for the amount of traffic that pulls through here every morning. Great place to stop on the way to work to grab breakfast. Too many lines at the drive-thru. Workers at too slow. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. Went home and checked it out. The chicken was burnt black front and back. Sandwich had no lettuce or tomatoes and just dripping mayo that looked pink. Too expensive for crap. You are better off going to Wendy's. read more

I honestly dread coming to this location. The speaker system has been in place for over 20 years, the people that work there could care less about what you get and they almost always argue with you when they make a mistake. The last time I was here I asked for them to whatasize my meal. The cashier didn't do that after the fact that I had already paid for my meal and didn't even bother to give me the receipt. When they gave me my medium drink and small fry I told them I had ordered my meal whatasized. The manager said that they couldn't do anything because I had already paid. I looked at her like she was crazy. One of the employees saw I was mad and she gave me a Extra Large Drink and a large fry free of charge. That was the only nice thing that has happened since I was there. I highly recommend avoiding this location at all cost's unless you just absolutely need some food. I'm hypoglycemic so I know how that is. If you need a burger or something else just go to Five Guys Burgers And Fries which is right around the corner which has the best burgers around and costs the same. read more

My family and i had to walk out because of the rude kids,they were being loud,other customers looked annoyed as well, a whole group of kids cut in front of us. The worst part is..the huge group of kids are their almost everyday,this has happened numerous times to us. We have to leave almost every time. Worst whataburger EVER! The first time my order was screwed up (drive thru) lady was very rude also. Gave them the benefit of the doubt went today order a avocado bacon burger with jalapeños she even repeated my order back to me. When I got home it was a plain whataburger with cheese ! Wth! I must give this Whataburger a good review. I'm a frequent visitor and I'm really impressed that they never mess up my order, even with me being such a picky eater.
