This is truly the worst location in the history of What-a-burger. The place is filthy inside, liquid all over the floor where the soda machine is on the customer side. The grease behind the counter is literally black! I wish I would have snapped a pic! The young gentleman working the counter admitted it hasn't been changed in AT LEAST TWO DAYS!!! The onion rings came out so dark they were nearly black. So disgusting and the worst part about it is that even when you bring it to their attention, they have absolutely ZERO intention of changing it. The ambiance while you dine in is a mixture of dirty floors, spills everywhere and employees screaming profanities. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

There are good Whataburgers and there are great Whataburgers, this is one of the great ones! I have been coming here ever since one of my offices came to Grapevine and NEVER had a bad experience. The service is always friendly and fast and the food is always hot and fresh. This morning though I had the pleasure of dealing with the drive thru attendant named "Chrissy". She was one of theost helpful and friendly people I have encountered anywhere. Seriously, the sun was shining bright and the first thought in my mind was "wow, this woman is shining brighter than the sun." Awesome experience! read more

Open 24hrs...FTW! I stayed in Grapevine, TX for about a week and went to this place twice... late night grubbin' of course. After a night of lounging and getting a few drinks at the hotel bar, this hit the spot. The burgers are pretty good with meaty flavor, a bit on the heavier side (compared to In-n-Out) and definitely bigger in size. Fries are good, nothing especially unique. I like the additional toppings also for the burgers. My only set back for this location was that the service was extremely slow when a few of us went after midnight. I'm sure the staff is livelier during the day. And it didn't help that a small group of drunk nightclubbers were takin' their sweet ash time ordering! ...stay calm. This place is a solid 3.5 stars (half star down for slow service). I think the anticipation of getting a Whataburger burger was greater than my realized experience with it. I definitely would go again if I were to visit TX again. My friends definitely said... "whataburger" after finishing theirs. haha! read more

I was so surprised to come on to Yelp to see so many bad reviews about this whataburger.. the people that work here legitimately made my day and possibly entire week. I'm in Texas for work for the week, and admittedly it's not my favorite place to be (it's ok, y'all don't like Californians either, so the feeling is mutual) but giving this place a try was amazing. The food? Meh.. it'll never be better than in n out. Not even close. Was it ok? Sure. It was hot, I was hungry, and actually the jalapeño ranch was awesome. But the people that work here were SO NICE, helped me with recommendations, and Stacey that works there, if she's not the owner, she should be. So sweet. By far the slowest whataburger you will ever go to. You can be the only person there and it'll take you 20 minutes to get food. Your food will be dry, possibly burnt, and definitely cold. You'll watch three or four employees chit chat while there's likely one person "working" in the back. I once watched a work quit (loudly) while waiting for food. read more

Do not come here if you are on a schedule. We literally waited in line for 40 min. When we finally got up to the widow the guy was on playing on his phone. Our order was wrong, fries were cold, and when we got back to our hotel just down the road, the bag that had our drinks in it was full of lemonade because one of the cups had a hole in the bottom of it. Since I'm from California, I'm a huge In-N-Out fan, so there's no topping that. But Whataburger pleasantly surprised me. I was on a layover in DFW airport, and I went to a BBQ place nearby. I passed by this location and I thought that I had to at least try out Whataburger to see what it's all about. After eating about a pound and a half of meat at the BBQ place, I walked over (to burn off some calories) to this place, and ordered the biggest thing on the menu, the Triple Meat Whataburger. When they brought the burger out to me, I was quite shocked. Everything is indeed bigger in Texas. Just lifting up the burger felt like I was going to have to eat another pound of food or so. The burger was hard to hold in one hand, so me taking a selfie of trying to eat this burger was near impossible. Quality of the burger was solid. Toppings kept falling off due to sheer size, but who wants to eat lettuce and onions anyway (I think it was lettuce and onion...). Regardless, the spicy ketchup lived up to the hype, and I had a very good experience overall. read more

I have literally never waited so long in line at a fast food location. I had time to breastfeed my screaming baby, get out and use their restroom and come back to the car, and feed my toddler an entire meal before we even got to the front of the line. Mind you, there were only TWO cars in front of us and when I went in to use the restroom there was NO ONE in line. You'd think "fast food" would be more efficient. I think we were in line for almost a full half hour with two crying babies in the car and just to pick up some French fries. Ridiculous. read more

Absolutely insane. I have never gotten food quicker than 20-25 minutes at this location and the Coppell location gets it to me quicker than I even expected!. I made an app order and waited because I knew it would take forever. The employees here are WORTHLESS... they're all sitting in the back watching videos talking all while the poor lady (her name tag says Tortuga) - who was very sweet when I called works her ass off all by herself. She is amazing, she had them remake our food because by then it was probably cold.. and threw in a couple cookies for the wait! Every employee needs a wake up call because this is ridiculous, but she needs a raise because she is doing the job of 6 other people plus her own! The manager yelled at her for no reason when she should be firing everyone else In there but her. The manager needs to get it together instead of hanging out in her office!!! read more

This is probably the worst Whataburger I've ever been to! It took 5 min just to get the guy to take our order, when we were the only ones in line, because they've got the guy in the front taking orders, dropping food into the fryers, delivering the food, AND making the shakes! They had three people on the line PLUS two managers, and only four orders on the screen... WHAT?!? It then took 22 minutes to get our order (three #1's, two with a shake), and it was all semi-warm. We were asked if we wanted ketchup, and we said we would; we never got the ketchup. I love Whataburger, but will certainly drive extra miles to go to any store but this one. read more

I purchased food items (breakfast taquitos - Burritos) and there was next to no eggs in the items. I attempted to call the "restaurant" and speak with the general manager. According to the receipt the GM's name is Dwayland Dean but I was told by the employee answering the phone that there is no such person associated with the store. . . I then tried multiple times to call the customer service call center and asked to have someone from their corporate office call me. I never received any calls. I called their corporate office and their phone tree system does not give you the opportunity to speak with anyone but the same call center that can do nothing. If you select Option 9 to speak to the operator no one answers the line. . . No one from the corporate office speak to you. They list Fictitious Managers on their receipts, When you speak to their call center no one will call you back (it has been over ten days for me) and the corporate # doesn't work either (you either get transferred back to the call center to voice your complaint which then goes to a black hole or you get transferred to an "operator" that will not answer a phone. read more

On top of that, my order has been right once out of the 5 times. I recommend just go to a different Whataburger or go down the road to Braums. It's been almost 8 years since I was here last. But same great experience, as you get w/ most visits to a WHATABURGER. My burger was great! And the fries were on point! Normally one is great and the other, not so much. But both burger and fries were amazing. The staff was great as well. There was some sort of a mix up w/ someone's preset, and the lady helping resolve the issue really seemed to care about getting it right and making it right w/ her customer. Refreshing to see. Unfortunately not very common in the Fast Food Industry. But Maria put on a clinic today. And the Manager came by every table to make sure your experience in his WHATABURGER was the best it could be. This place use to be great but now is incredibly awful. My food was room temp, it looked like it was all just thrown in (fries all over the box instead of the box they came in, gravy setting on its side and leaking, and toast completely smashed.) I looked inside through the the window while waiting and only 2 or 3 people were actually working while the others crowded around a young woman standing in the middle of the walk way, showing off her new tattoo, I'm assuming this would also explain part of the long wait time. I finally got to try Whataburger. It's okay. I feel like the burger tastes like Sonic, so pretty basic. The taste of the fries remind me of McDonald's. After my first meal, I was told to try the patty melt by a couple different people. They said the patty melt is what makes Whataburger. I went back another day and tried the patty melt and it was pretty good. It definitely stands out compared to the burger. It was on the salty side though. read more
