Slow service and food was not fresh. It took a very long time for my order to come out and when it did was not fresh.

Earlier that same day, I was informed by a staff member that the pizza department closed at 8:00 PM. Based on that information, we arrived at approximately 7:40 PM to order a pizza. When we approached the counter, the young lady working there told us they were closed. There was no greeting or explanation offered initially. I explained that I had been told the department closed at 8:00 PM. She responded that they closed at 7:45 PM. Since it was still before that time, I asked to speak with the manager. The night manager, Graham, came over. Unfortunately, his demeanor was unwelcoming and dismissive. He stated that they stop taking orders at 7:45 PM. By the time he spoke with us, it may have been around 7:42 PM, but we were already at the counter before that time. No attempt was made to accommodate us or to clarify the discrepancy in closing times. Instead, the interaction felt rushed and unfriendly. My frustration is not just about the pizza, but about: * Inconsistent information given to customers * Poor communication * Lack of basic customer service and courtesy from management If the pizza department stops taking orders earlier than the posted or communicated closing time, that should be clearly stated and consistently enforced. More importantly, customers should be treated with respect and professionalism. I plan to follow up directly with the store manager, as I believe this experience does not reflect the level of service Fresh by Brookshire's should stand for.

Smoak Town BBQ: A Hidden Gem East of Dallas If you are…read morehunting for elite Texas barbecue, look no further than the food truck setup in downtown Fate, Texas. This Texas Monthly Top 50 spot is delivering a masterclass in the craft, complete with a welcoming, high-energy vibe, friendly staff who truly know the BBQ community, and a nice outdoor picnic area to enjoy your spread. Bonus points for hospitality: they offer free Lone Star beer while you wait in line. But it's the food that cements this place as a must-visit destination. Here is how the menu stacks up: The Meats * Brisket: Absolutely top-notch. Whether you lean toward the lean or prefer the moist cut, the execution here is flawless, boasting a great smoke ring and incredible depth of flavor. This brisket easily stands on par with the top 10 BBQ joints in the entire state. * Ribs: These offer an excellent, clean pull and a great bite. The bark is perfectly developed, locking in a wonderfully deep, meaty flavor. * Jalapeño & Cheddar Sausage: A stellar double-grind link with a nice, snappy casing. It delivers a great peppery flavor profile, with just the right amount of jalapeño spice and savory cheddar cheese oozing with flavor in every bite. * Pork Belly Burnt Ends: Absolute meat candy! These are easily some of the best pork belly burnt ends you will find anywhere in the Metroplex. A total flavor bomb. The Sides * Creamed Corn: Bold, rich, and elevated by a fantastic kick of added spice. This easily ranks as one of my absolute favorite sides among the Texas Monthly Top 50 circuit. * Mac and Cheese: Creamy, smooth cheese goodness paired with perfectly cooked pasta. It's clear a lot of attention was given to the flavor profile here rather than letting it be an afterthought. The Verdict Smoak Town BBQ is a powerhouse operating out of a downtown food truck. From the world-class brisket to the spectacular sides and genuine Texas hospitality, this place is a definitive don't miss.

I had sent a DM to the pit master about our visit and placing an order to pick up. Unfortunately they didn't have brisket at the time of our visit but everything else we got was wonderfully delicious. We picked up the Texas Trinity w/Ribs, sausage & pork belly burnt ends with 2 sides. Every thing was delicious but the ribs were the star of the plate. Thank you Smoak Town BBQ for cooking delicious food. They are currently located at a food park but will be moving into a brick and mortar.

We sat down at our table at Red Dirt Social to visit for 10 minutes - and the manager (or owner maybe?) commented how his space was built just for this reason - to relax and enjoy time. We never felt rushed, or felt like they wanted our table. That was refreshing! The space is lovely - truly! It was bright, open, minimal decor and it all worked beautifully together. Someone out real thought into decorating this space for people to gather and relax, and it showed. I ordered the pats (oatmeal) with fresh fruit and it was perfect! All the fruit blended well together for my oatmeal. I enjoyed every bite. I cannot wait to bring my husband back to see how much Fate has grown and to eat here once more. It's worth it!

We came here before one of the famous Texas cold fronts... Its an order at counter places, which isn't always my favorite. You lose some personal connection but we were greeted when we got here, when we ordered it felt so friendly... they honesty made up for it. We ordered a bucket (cupcake brand) of mimosas. Chicken and waffles sliders. Breakfast panini and i wanted something sweet and we ordered the donut hole casserole. Honestly I cant find the words right now... but absolutely delish!! Only thing we would not order the donut casserole not because its not fantastic it is. But the waffle fries had some kind of sweetness in the batter so it satisfied my sweet tooth. The chicken was so well cooked! We ultimately turned it into knife and fork because it fell apart but who cares. The panini ... eggs so soft and moist. The sausage is links which normally I dont prefer vs a patty but so juicy. Honestly the combo of them was perfect. We were both so happy. Please go. Go now.

The build-your-own burger I made (blt, mayo, and added avocado spread) was FANTASTIC!! The fries were a hit. Sweet potato and plain were both the most amazing addition to their burgers. Loved the spicy and regular ranch! Okay now to the margarita. Strong and tasted pretty good. My husband enjoyed the beer options (purple haze and dark matter). My only beef with the harbor is the parking. I don't feel the infrastructure here is set up for this much volume of stores and customers. Of course this isn't the restaurants' fault.

What makes the Rockwall spot stand out is its incredible outdoor patio, complete with swinging tables and chairs and a beautiful view of the lake. It's one of the best patios around. I can be a pretty picky eater, but at Rodeo Goat I've learned to trust the menu. Order it the way the chef intended, and you'll be glad you did. You can't go wrong with any Rodeo Goat, but the Rockwall location is especially worth the visit for the views and the outstanding burgers. You won't be disappointed.
