We recently had weather, today was my 1st day out in the last 3 or 4 days. I wanted a decent burger so we stopped at Whataburger, I ordered 3 combo meals and 1 of those great fried apple pies. While placing my order I was asked did I want ketchup? I said yes. I pulled to window paid. When I got home I was missing my Apple pie & the ketchup. This happens way too often. But the reason I decided to reach out to the restaurant is because I found a wavy coarse hair in my food. So sanitation is obviously an issue at this location. I did reach out to the restaurant first, I reached out the same day and received an email stating my message was received and I would hear back in 2-3 days. 5 days later, still nothing, so I reached out again. I just wanted to be refunded for the burger that had the hair in it, because it got thrown away. The manager, Sam, emailed me back pretty quickly and said she would give me a free one at my next visit. I emailed her back immediately saying that I would prefer a refund on the burger itself because we wont be back after finding hair in food. She just chose to never respond to me. So now im here! I really love the food here and everyone seems friendly enough but Ive been eating there weekly for the past frew months and the music is so freaking loud you can't even think or have a conversation! The dining area is for dining and visiting, isn't it?? I asked the girl at the front if they could turn it down and she says she will ask the manager and it never gets turned down. I continue to ask every time I eat there and continually get ignored. Im going to write a letter to coorporate with names on this too. The Royse City night crew 'scan charged' my WB app for the wrong order... in March 2023. The window attendant realized it was for the car behind me. They spoke to the night manager who said they would back out the charge. He looked at me but never came to the window, just saying to the attendant that it would be fixed. I was given my actual order, that I already prepaid for through the app, and left. I checked the app the next day and it was still there. I called and was told someone would call back. I went into the app and sent the issue to customer relations. They contacted me and asked for more info. All was provided. After multiple requests to provide the same info over & over, the charge has still not been removed and it's been, literally, 4 full months. The GM from the Royse City Whataburger, Samantha (Sam) Dearing has never gotten back with me after I provided everything she requested. The same information that had been previously submitted to Whataburger Escalations. The stupid part is, it is ALL in the app. Dates/Times etc... such poor customer service For the amount of money I spend at WB on a regular basis, why would I try to cheat you out of $8?!? We are great customers and this needs to be resolved. NOW! Credit the app ... free combo ... something to acknowledge the error. So frustrating. read more

This morning, I ordered ahead (7:15). I arrived at 7:25 and checked in. I waited in my car for 20 minutes before getting fed up considering it estimated that the order would be finished between 7:28-7:35. I went inside and was have my cups to get my own drinks, my burgers were sitting on the counter (probably had been for a while) and I watched them then add fries (cold). I was apologized to, but it wasn't very sincere and honestly they should have made the food fresh or upsized the drinks/fries- anything would've been better than a half ass apology. I have held my tongue about this whataburger, but enough is enough. I have had "no onion" stickers cooked in my burger and almost ate it thinking it was an onion skin. Two times I have wanted to try the dr. Pepper shake and they say it's not working and then today, my wife gets a whataburger jr meal with no onions with a sweet tea and a shake for myself. We get to the window and they finally tell me the shake will take 10 minutes! I declined it...ok. then my wife gets the meal, and she has a dr. Pepper instead if a sweet tea...ok, then she opens her burger to see all these onions on it...ok, then notices the burger has 2 bites out of the burger. Today was my first time to Whataburger and I left WITHOUT a thing! Why? I placed my order at the drive through speaker. The person repeated it back to me and asked if I would be using the app. I replied that I did not have the app. I noticed the line was moving extremely slow, so I downloaded the app and loaded money to pay. When I pulled up to the window a different employee repeated the order back to me, except it was not exactly what I had ordered. So I questioned my order. She very timidly turned to what MAY have been a manager, and repeated what I had stated. The VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL employee/ perhaps manager looked at the screen and rudely stated loudly, "NO THE ORDER IS CORRECT, I REPEATED IT BACK TO HER!" I simply said, "Have a great day!" and pulled away! I have been very understanding of the employee shortages and supply chain shortages across the nation. THIS employee/manager is obviously not customer friendly, and it seemed that the employee that was working the window was intimidated by her, which will multiply the employee shortage issue at this Whataburger! Thank you to the sweet young female employee at the window, move on to a place where you can be appreciated and respected! Now my issue is that I loaded my Whataburger app with money and need to spend it at a chain that I am NOT IMPRESSED by my first visit to!
