I love golden chick but this location is the worst !! worst customer service ever with these young kids! Worst tasting chicken !!

The food was pretty good...both of us will go there again. I was disappointed in the size of the chicken pieces; but it is better than Popeyes. Customer assistance was top notch. read more

The 9 Leg & Thigh.Combo meal (limited time offer) is a really good way to get tasty ROASTED & FRIED chicken in the same box. Unfortunately, the box is hard to eat out of, because all of the fried chicken is piled on top of the roasted pieces. But the FLAVOR is good. Very good! The Fried Okra is excellent; dry & crispy! The Mashed Potatoes needed salt, but they were also good - and the gravy was good! No napkins or plasticware were provided, so this would not be good food to take on a picnic. (Lesson learned.) The food is worth 4.5 stars, but the details snd staff at this location drop the rating to 3 stars. 'Nuff said about that; maybe we encountered the worst crew. read more

I am tired of getting mashed potato soup. They don't care and it's apparent. This is the 3 rd time in the last 2 months my mash potatoes have been that way. My wife believes it's the company trying to save cost by watering them down. Either way I have had enough. Congratulations you have got me to drive an extra 7 miles to Chicken Express in Rockwall. We all earn or ratings by how good or bad we do. So congratulations. read more

The place being always empty should've been a sign, this was my first and last meal of the day before I ended up at the ER with food posing.

Barely fill the condiment cup up half way and then charge 39 cents per extra condiment. Kids meal gets double the fries as an adult meal which costs $4 more than the kids meal. Half the time you don't get your roll. 100% of the time no plastic ware. Always seems the employees hate their life also. read more

The chicken was hot, the fries were hot and the roll were warm and tasty. The staff needs to be more upbeat. The inside is shared with Fuzzies Taco. Tables were clean. Restrooms are shared with Exxon. It was okay for a quick evening meal. read more

This is the third time they've screwed up ... AND forgot to put all the food in the bag. This used to be the best G Chick in the area, we would drive to 17 miles round trip just for the Royse City store's fresh food & great service. Back to Rowlett we go. Check out the pic of the Hot Chicken what you see is it as far as spice & sauce, and no pickles. read more

Golden Chick - Nashville (not so) Hot Chicken - Fast Food Near Me - Royse City, Texas

I had an order completely messed up 8 months ago. Finally decided to try again the Huge mistake! I ordered 3 breast and an extra mashed potato and gravy. I received a 3 piece - wing, leg, and thigh. One potato and gravy. One breast. Never, ever again! read more

While ordering he kept messing up my order and i couldn't hear him. simple noise issue right? wrong. get to the window and he hands me my food after paying, i had asked for zing sauce and gravy as dipping sauces, and i added a side of rice at the window. i open the box before driving away to be sure and i see only the gravy. water. pure water. milky water. no zing sauce. i asked for some zing with my 6 pice chicken and he hands me one tiny container so i ask for another. when i open the rice , it's black. horrible. do not go here. read more

Food is great! The staff was wonderful and the store looked really good. My order did not take long considering how busy the store was. Highly recommend. read more

My daughter talked me into going here, I knew I should not have listened. Golden Chick as whole has the worst tasting chicken of all the chicken chains and this location just makes bad chicken worse. I ordered a 16 piece tender, it's obvious by the taste & texture of the tenders that they gave me a few fresh pieces mixed with old pieces. Even the kids 4, 5 & 7 asked what is wrong with this chicken? I will not return. read more

Thank you Vanessa you are awesome at your job. And the chicken sandwich was delicious

BY FAR THE WORST LOCATION! I don't know who they hire, how they select staff, or what's going on in the kitchen but my goodness! Second try and it's still disgusting. The rice is like smashed vomit, where's the rice? The rolls aren't even cooked! It's raw dough! The chicken is never fresh and doesn't look like chicken. Maybe they were trying to be funny giving us uncooked rolls but it's not! They are trying to get people sick! read more

Terrible customer service. Always new staff members. Never in a hurry. Seem to be irritated that you came in for chicken. Rude and don't care. read more

Love this place. I always get spicy chicken strips. I skip out on the drink and get two sides. Green beans and mash potatoes are great. Service is friendly but could be quicker. It co asides with a gas station so nothing cool looking about the place. read more

We typically have the worst luck ordering through any deliver service at this location due to various issues In the past. We've learned that it's better quality when you go up there yourself and order. Last night we bit the bullet one last time and ordered through door dash. Everything seemed correct this time until we started passing out drinks, and to our surprise we found a piece of someone's chewed gum attached to the bottom of the drink tray. This is disgusting and unsanitary regardless of its location. This is the last time we will be eating here. read more

Never going back here. A few weeks ago we went here at 9:50pm on a Friday to go through the drive through. 5 minutes goes by - No one answered the speaker. I pull up to the drive through window and after seeing someone trying to ignore me, he says "oh we're closed - we just threw everything out ". First of all, their hours state ON THE BUILDING that they're open to 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights, so the dude was lying. Second of all, they were closing up shop even before 10pm to have thrown all that out that quickly. THIRD of all, I waited in the parking lot 10 minutes just to search for a new place open at that hour, and I watched all 4 workers walk out at 10:05pm and go home. That's ridiculous, even if you claim the place closed at 10pm, which it doesn't on Friday. Utterly ridiculous. read more

Missing items on Uber eats and they say they won't fix it and to complain to the restaurant so here's my complaint. My order was wrong and I didn't get everything I paid for so 1 star when I wish I could give zero!!! read more

First we couldn't tell if they were open no outside lights were on. Strange.... Second time to order here and second time the order was wrong. Forgot the rolls this time, didn't believe me asked to look in my bag!! She realized no rolls. Then preceded To throw smashed rolls in bag! French fries were just thrown into the bag on top of the box with chicken sandwich!!! Said they accidentally threw the receipt away when I asked for it!! I think something shady is going on here. Ridiculous!! read more

Go there for the food and not the service. Do check your food before driving off because it can be sub par or wrong more often than not. When it's good, it's great, when it's bad it's pretty terrible. read more

the customer service was horrid, the food took forever to get ready and the black older lady manager was tacky and had a horribly attitude about it wanting to not give a refund, food remade no nothing even with a hair in it read more

If I could put negative stars I would. Friday we got a family 8 piece chicken meal from this location. Soon after eating, I started having severe cramps, and was sitting on the toilet with a trash can in my lap. It continued throughout the night, I was thinking about going to the ER. Late Friday night, my wife was sick, and it lasted until today. We are not the only ones who have gotten sick, maybe this place needs to be checked by the health department. The service at the drive through was good, but something is wrong with the food. read more

I've had meals at other locations that were great. But this location needs better training. They shouldn't be allowed to sell Catfish, Fletchers Corn Dogs, or Funnel Cakes. All fried way too long, over done. But management is the blame for all. Never going back. read more

got almost everything on the order. didn't get the side of gravy that I ordered on 2 meals then I also ordered jalapeño poppers didn't get any of those so I try calling and no one answers so here's my review.. read more

Poor customer service from the beginning. Then was told our order would be ready in 15 minutes. Took over 30 minutes. No apology. The girl working the window seems to want to be anywhere but at work. Update: I posted this review while waiting. They had us pull forward and told us it would be another 8 minutes. After waiting another 15 minutes, total of 45 minutes my husband goes inside and asks what's going on. They said "oh we haven't even dropped the wings yet" What?!! We got our money back but left with no food. The most ridiculous experience I've ever had at a fast food place! It's a shame because they have good food. read more

Just when you think this place can't get any worse...... after ordering a mix, fried & roasted that came with rolls, I thought the price was a bit high, but once home & opened to see the muck they had the audacity to call food, ( nothing but fried chicken) I assume that 's what it was suppose to be, but no rolls, no roasted chicken just nasty tasting fried chicken, for $20.36. That was my 2nd experience with that dump, it will also be the LAST!! The " shit leader, oops, I ment shift leader was not at all concerned that I was disappointed with the order. BUYER BEWARE!! read more

So friend chicken spots, they are a everywhere. What makes it a special place to me however is how fresh the food is when served. Although it's difficult to mess up fried chicken tenders it can be done. Too hard, too dry. Over or undercooked. This place consistently serves fresh and quality chicken. Hot and flavorful. With the softest of warm biscuits. Me likey a lot! read more

OK where do I start? I called and placed the order a family meal and they told me it would be 30 minutes for my order was ready. I drove up there and guess what, they said they were closed and all they can say was sorry about that? This place sucks! They really need to get management involved in this from corporate! Apparently whoever I was talking to new they were closing in 30 minutes but their website says they close at 10 PM not 9pm. I will NOT be coming here again! read more

(No stars) they don't wear any gloves and wipe their nose while preparing the food....

IMO, Golden Chick trumps Raising Canes. Came to this location 2x, drive thru and dine in. I suck at ordering at the drive thru so I had to pull up where they hand you the food to order. Lady was nice and I almost drove off without paying. Idek what was going on in my head that day. Service was nice and I did notice that their cups didn't have the logo tho. Just plain white large styrofoam cups. 2nd time was dine in during lunch and man, the location is so busy. I didn't realize it shared the same store with Fuzzys AND a gas station. Plenty of seating but it gets filled. I saw Fuzzys having some discount with teacher ID so that attracts lots of folks. I like their food though! The employees do seem preoccupied tho. I definitely suggest the drive thru over picking it up even though you can get a free ice cream after. Very convenient! read more

Horrible!!!!! I was told to try this place for its roasted chicken. I tried them twice and they are horrible. Both times I went they were limited on the types of pieces of meat they had, and the meat was suspect. Also, when I ordered my food I was greeted by someone saying "What do you want". I also tired the jalapeno poppers, and they were empty on the inside. I will not try this place again, and will make sure others in my community know how horrible it is. read more

Amazing customer service! Quick and prompt, friendly. Over all great quality food and service from the staff.

The quality of their chicken is hit or miss. If you catch them when they first open up, the chicken is fresh... usually. But, just about any other time, not so much. Their prices are reasonable, especially compared to KFC, and service is usually pretty good. But, the major drawback is consistently poor quality chicken. read more

The strips are so tiny and thin. Their prices are getting higher. Their sales and coupons are getting worse. They give us less and less potatos and gravy everytime. I have to make extra potatoes at home cuz they are getting so cheap. This place is becoming a joke. I would rather make the drive to Rockwall to Chicken Express and get double the food for less. It's worth the drive to Rockwall. The staff at GC are nice but they will be overthrown if a Chicken Express gets built in Royse City. read more

oh, my wife finally got her food and informed me even the manager was flapping her gums and not doing her job - for about 10 minutes!!! unacceptable, we will not be back. unbelieveably poor service!!!!!!!! read more

We were ordering food at the Fuzzys Taco and one of the Golden Chick employees came over and interrupted our ordering to yell at the girl taking our order to quit sending people over to their drink fountain. What? In front of a customer?? First of all the drink machines are out in the open. I highly doubt that Fuzzys is sending people to sneak drinks from Golden Chick. Pa-lease. Second of all...you don't "correct" people in front of a customer. Ever. All I got. Carry on. read more

Golden Chick recently opened next to the EXXON - I made a stop at it today through the drive-thru. There were three cars ahead and five behind. It took for ever as I thought it was not worth the wait and just go elsewhere. I should always know to follow my gut on things! It was SO overpriced, and certainly not worth the effort. I will not make that mistake a second time. A shame really. Overpriced, poor service, food quality and amount of food is as well. read more
