Passing through Big Spring on our way back to Denver we stopped at Whataburger (my first time). The food was quick, hot, and excellent! But the best part was the manager. I asked for really hot fries, which I received in the drive thru. However they were delivered while there was a car ahead of me at the window. It was a full 5 minutes before that car received their food and moved. So the fries were barely warm by the time I left there. I highly recommend you ask a car to pull into the parking lot if it is going to take long serve them. Or at least wait until I get to the window so the fries will be hot. Good grief. read more

Wow! This was chaos! Ordered our food online at 7:53pm on a Tuesday and our food was not ready until 8:25pm. Fries were hot but the burger was COLD! It had been sitting for a while. People were waiting everywhere and weren't happy. It was a very uncomfortable situation. We were in Big Springs for a high school volleyball game. If you're from Texas...you already know!! It's Whataburger, what else is there to say!?!? Over all this place is consistent and good. Except for the occasional hit or miss. My only real complaint about this location would have to be their SMALL parking lot/drive thru area. While this town is small, so maybe that's the reason for the pour design, it is on a significant highway (Hwy 87) that runs north and south from about San Antonio to Lubbock. So with that fact alone that brings them traffic, not to mention oil field traffic. Other than that fact, you should be safe with your choice here. read more

Decent fast food Nice staff Relatively clean 3.5/5 We stopped by here on our way back to Austin. They messed up my order. However everything else was up to our expectation. Driving thru from New Mexico and this familiar place was inviting. This is an older one in the old A frame building. It was a bit smaller but clean. The have no booth tables in this one just a collectionf tables and chairs. The food was on par for what we have come to expect from WB and the service was good. Glad we found it this far from home. read more

I think it is such a shame that our local Whataburger maintains a 2 star review average. The burgers are as good as any other Franchise but the Service (which falls back on Management) , is ridiculous. Although when driving through you notice so many Employees in the kitchen that they're bumping into each other, no one takes charge. total mass confusion and my order is usually sitting on the counter getting cold. I walked into this place after reading some of the reviews. WoW! The customer service I got was great. The girl at the counter was very friendly. I placed my order, paid and stepped away. The next family walked in and she was just as pleasant with them even though I would have told them to disipline their kid. No kid should act that way in public. After a few minutes a really nice kid came out from the back with a bag and called my number. He read back everything I ordered and then handed me a tray of condiments. I grabbed ketchup and was out the door before I started yelling at the other folks kid. When I got to the hotel, my food was still hot and fresh. The onion rings were still perfect! I sat at the window waiting on food for at least 10 minutes. I'm guess I was waiting on the fries because they were hot and fresh. My daughter's burger was lukewarm. Mine was cold. Purchased a #13 and an avocado bacon burger meal and paid over $20 - this was perhaps the worst food I've ever eaten. The chicken was warm and the burger was cold, no flavor at all. I went whataburger tonight at 9:50, I finally got to order at about 10:10. The line was moving fast until I got to the window. I sat at the window for a minimum of 20 minutes. After 20 minutes we only recievef our drinks and were asked to drive to the other side and wait for our food. We waiting another 10 minutes in a to go order slot. They finally brought our food out and we drive away to discover they have messed up all the orders and spilt buffalo sauce all over our fries. They also somehow forgot another half our meal. Worst Whataburger I've ever been to in my life. They are literally the slowest in the drive thru here. I waited 24 minutes for a chicken sandwich and fries. The girl at the window never even talked to me. Just handed her hand out for my card then gave me my soda. After waiting forever, she asked me what my order was. Like are you serious. After our bad experience at the DQ up near Cline's Corners, the service and food at this Whataburger restored our faith in hamburger restaurants! We got the usual high standard meals---this time chicken strip combos. The chicken was crisp, the French fries hot and crisp, and the manager was going around waiting on the tables! As we were standing in line waiting to order the gentleman and I use that word loosely that was in line in front of us. Was rude and complaining before he ever ordered. The young woman working the register was trying to apologize for the way he had been he wants up and makes a scene as I am trying to order then wants to speak to the manager which he did. I am proud how she handled herself and no one that works in customer service should have to be treated that way. You sir need to learn how to be a human being. I went to Whataburger last night. The line was pretty long, but it moved fast. I ordered 2 cheeseburger meals and 2 chicken bite meals. We usually check our meals before we leave, but the line was already long and people were piling behind us, so we left. Went home & found out that we only got half our meals. We got all of our drinks, but only 2 burgers & fries. No chicken bites, and the kids meal only had the fries and the cookie. Called whataburger & let them know. The lady who answered the phone at first was pretty rude about it. Said to go back & when I said I couldn't, because I live near Forsan and it was already 9:30, she got an attitude & said "Well then what do you want me to do" then cut me off and told me to speak to the manager. Manager said I could go back and take my receipt and she'd give me the rest of the meal I was missing. Although I appreciate the manager handling it nicely, I'm not sure I'll be back anymore. It's always hit or miss and they can hardly ever get orders right. I understand it was a busy night, but this seems to continuously be a problem with Whataburger. Pretty disappointed. read more

This is the second time we've passed through Big Spring and the first time we experienced really bad customer service where we could hear the drive thru attendant yelling at customers; however, we love Whataburger so we thought those same horrible people couldn't possibly still be working here, but now we can definitely say this is one of the worst places we've ever been to. Jennifer at the front was horribly rude when taking our order, then she got the order wrong on top of that and was rude again when we asked for the order to be corrected. Probably should've asked for the manager, but after reading other reviews it probably wouldn't have made any difference. In addition to horrendous customer service, the food was warm, definitely not anywhere near hot and the fries were burnt and hard. It's understandable that it's hard to find quality staff in a small town, but someone from Whataburger Corporate office should definitely go down there and either make big changes or shut this location down because it's an awful representation of the brand. read more

Passed through big springs on our way home from Dallas Texas , my family and I were far from let down with the service and food all 7 burgers were cold and two had to be sent back because they were made wrong, about 10 minutes passed until the one of the two new burgers came back, we got up to check on the other burger and they had completely forgot about it. As we were leaving a man entered the whataburger for the second time with his box of chicken tenders because he was sold just the box. There was NO CHICKEN!!! How do you forget that?!?
