Tonight was a 1 star. its 10:52 PM. 08-08-18. A friend and i frequent the location all the time. Tonight a different crew. I ordered a double lotta combo. It came out and the fries were cold, the burger was also cold. It was assembled with pre cooked burger patties that were setting off to the side. I handed the whole order back and said please make it fresh. The manage was disgruntled but complied. My friend also checked his order to find the same thing in his bag as well cold food. There are many choices to choose from. You dont have the market cornered on fast food. I would suggest. Cooking everything as it is ordered. I for one do not enjoy eating old cold food. And your crew laughing as we departed the store was very unprofessional. An easy way to prevent this kind of review is be professional about your job. So I've tried to be understanding and give this location numerous chances. However, the past 4 times I have been to this Whataburger it's been a nightmare experience. The staff is highly rude and prefers to ignore their guests while messing around with each other (talking, laughing with each other & and seriously throwing fries at one another right in front of me while I haven't been helped). I have had to wait a long time for my order to be ready (more then 10 minutes) but now I understand why. The management also doesn't seem very friendly, no hi hello how are you. Just a straight to the point "what can I get you?" I have been in the restaurant/customer service industry for over ten years and this type of behavior is totally unacceptable and very far from professional. Especially to be doing all that the employees are doing in front of their guests and in front of management and nothing is done. I will not accept orders from this location anymore ever again! Me waiting because they wanna mess around and do everything but their job affects me and my money and that I'm not okay with. Went to Whataburger in Albuquerque on Osuna last week hoping to enjoy my meal in the dining room. Unfortunately, the dining room is still closed. I asked an employee I encountered outside when the dining room would reopen. She said she didn't know. You restaurant owners have been crying since COVID started about all the losses you have incurred and now that you can open at at 50% YOU DON'T! If you don't open your dining rooms soon you are going to lose me as a customer permanently! Get it together Whataburger, and stop with your arrogance! I've cruised by Whataburger many times when visiting Arizona but have never actually stopped in. After reading recently reading an article about In-n-Out opening locations in the home state of Whataburger's Texas, my interest peaked with all the die-hard fans comments. Being a California native, I enjoy In-n-Out but I don't tag along the line that it's the best in fast food. Truthfully, I think Carl's Jr. is better but that's me. So here I find myself in Albuquerque for a friends wedding and the night is getting late but my stomach is protesting that it wasn't filled enough at dinner. So, I hopped in my Dodge Challenger RT rental and - yes -punched it to the nearest Whataburger. Since this was my first visit, I decided to walk in rather than use the drive-thru. I soon found out that was a poor choice. My order took quite a long time at a good ten minutes to be completed. I gazed to the delivery window open and shut order after order while waiting for mine. My selection wasn't complex: Whataburger with no pickles, nuggets, and the new Sweet and Spicy burger. No fries, no milkshake, nothing. Two burgers and nuggets. Still, ten minutes to bag it and hand it to me. I grabbed a few more BBQ sauces as I noticed none were added, even though I was asked how many I desired when I made payment, and I dashed off to the hotel. I was mildly amused by the packaging of plain yellow wrapper with stickers denoting the contents. In our day of mass marketing, I enjoyed the simplicity of it. I opened the Sweet and Spicy first because it sounded the most compelling of the two burgers. Come on, anything with bacon on it begs to be ingested first! True to my suspicion, it was a great choice! The sauce was delicious and sweet and while the only "heat" I sensed was warmth and not spice, it was still just the same a great burger. I set down the Sweet and Spicy burger to sample the classic Whataburger with cheese and no pickles. At first bite, it was a good burger. Better than In-n-Out? Nope. Larger? Yup. But I could just get a Double-Double and that takes care of the size issue. :) I ate about half of the Whataburger because truth is, it was nothing more than a Whatacommonburger. It wasn't a bad burger but it's not something I'd get again. Now that Sweet and Spicy? Yup, I'd drive some distance for that bad boy. My son had the nuggets and he said they were good. No further input on those but I saw the Nugget Guy toss them into the cooker when I had my nice long visit at the store. It wasn't deep fried so that was interesting to see. I guess they pre-fried them and froze them for later consumption. Again, my son said they were good so I have no problem with them being frozen. So, how did Whataburger compare to In-n-Out? I guess alright. I better enjoy the atmosphere of In-n-Out but I got a kick out of Whataburger's packaging. The menu seemed thorough and filled with delicious selections. Since I didn't sample much of that menu, I'm not ready to declare a winner between the two. Maybe next time I'm in Arizona, I'll conduct a more indepth sample. Retard #2 ask to please fix my order and offer slip to show original order. She says" cashier did not understand" understatement of the year and it's only January! 5. Visited this location last night. It was clean and I appreciate the fact that the dining area is open late. Most fast food joints close the dining area at 10 and that makes your options limited to eating in your vehicle and wasting gas to run the heater in this cold. Bathrooms were clean and easy to access right by the main door. Music was a little loud in the bathroom due to the echo, but who spends much time in there anyways? The only thing keeping this from being 5 stars was the ordering experience. While ordering we were looking at the menu and the lady taking the order continued to ask if "that was all" like we were holding her up. The dining area was empty and there was no one behind us yet we were rushed to complete our order. Our food came out quickly and correctly. Well, after 5 years of living in the Southwest, I've had my first "Whatever Burger." It's Covid-times so I drove in for lunch. It was pretty crowded and took about 10 minutes. I don't eat fast food often, so you tell me if that's typical. I have no idea but it seems to defeat the purpose if you ask me. They have order takers in line like at Chick-fil-A. This is pretty annoying for me as I'm not familiar with the menus and it bothers me at Chick-fil-A as well. You feel like you're pressured to make a decision right there. She offered me a menu which had no prices on it and she wasn't very educated on it either. I asked how much toppings were as she said "like 50 cents but it depends on which you're getting" ... They weren't. I got mushrooms, bacon and avocado and they were priced between 80 and 95 cents and had them placed on the "#2 Double Meat." Along with it: a Cranberry and Apple side salad which isn't really a side salad because it's an entrée and at more than $5 it's pricier than probably some burgers on the menu. I answered the girl that I didn't want cheese on the burger so I would have appreciated the heads up that the salad is going to come with shredded cheese (even though the menu makes no mention of it). And sure enough, upon opening the plastic salad box, I had to spend 5 minutes picking out the tiny shreds of cheddar cheese out of the salad while attempting to not sacrifice too many carrots. For some reason, the burger and/or salad comes with fruit gummy candies??? They went immediately into the trash. I got the balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing and honestly, the salad was great! And big enough on its own to make a meal of and you can even add grilled or fried chick to it. I was really enjoying it. Very fresh greens and the cranberries and apples practically tasted like candy. I could get this salad again. Then I moved onto the burger ... It looked pretty simple. Right away, I regretted getting a double meat as I could see the meat didn't appear particularly appetising. It was almost completely tasteless and the meat was dried out. My wife said "it's like a badly bbq-ed burger. Like the kind my ex-husband's family used to make." (Her ex's family is famous for bad food.) I thought that was a pretty good description. Bacon and mushrooms didn't help with the flavor either. Even the avocado kinda sucked. For me, it was "sustenance," at best; like I'd happily eat it if I was in prison, or starving to death. And for more than $14 for a burger and salad??? I could go to a sit-down restaurant for that, Flying Star would be EXACTLY that price, in fact! Well, now, I've had Whataburger. Lotaburger: next. After exiting the bathroom, I noticed quite a few flies hanging out in that area. Off-putting, but not the end of the world. While ordering, I noticed well over a dozen flies swarming all over the menu. I then noticed even more, dozens throughout the whole restaurant. What tipped the scales and forced me to cancel the order was the dead fly on the food prep counter less than a foot away from a half-assembled burger. Canceled my order and walked out. Visited this location at 4:20 in the morning. We were exhausted after a long drive and greeted by smiles and two friendly men working at this Whataburger. If my brain wasn't mush, I'd have remembered their names. The double green chile cheeseburgers were just like we remembered. Smoky green chile, hot off the grill with melted cheese. My daughter loved the pancakes. Most of all, appreciate their kindness and they brought a condiment tray to our table with a smile. Much appreciated break in our 11 hour drive to visit an ill great grandma. Clean restaurant and restrooms as well. Sigh, makes me happy. read more

Though it was a holiday and during lunch time that didn't stop me from coming to have a quick lunch here. It cleared out around 1 so it wasn't so bad, though I did have to park in the Calvary Chapel parking lot just to make sure I was able to get out with ease. Food came in a timely manner and was nice and warm. One of our orders was missing the extra beef patty, but that was fixed easily and quickly. Even though we ordered the regular size meal, I like that two people can share a fry easily and that it won't go to waste. Would I say this was the best place to eat, nah, but it was really good and very satisfying to my taste-buds. My wife and I visited this restaurant at 3 pm on 8-20-16. My wife and I both ordered the single whataburger with fries and added green chilies to the burgers. The burgers were big to be singles but we're probably one of the best hamburgers I have ever had. The meat patty was cooked just right and very juicy. The bun was soft, pillowy and tasty. I pull up to the menu and the lady tells me one moment ( even though there was no one else's in front of me) 5 minutes later my order finally gets taken. I order 2 burgers with no onions. I get my order repeated back to me correctly. I proceed to the window and pay for my food. nearly 10 minutes goes by until I finally get my food. Hi, usually love this spot, and to start this off, I made an error, and I wanna make that clear. I ordered online, and it went to the wrong store. However, I had an interaction with one of the employees, I told them my name and they went inside to go check on the order. Then they never came back, and let me sit there for 25 minutes thinking they were getting my order. Didn't realize until I checked the app that I ordered to the wrong store across town. However, if they had told me right away that they didn't have the order, it would have saved me and my food 20 minutes. Wanna make it clear again, I was the one who made an error, but they were not busy, maybe 5 cars in the drive through, and it would have taken about 30 seconds for them to check inside and tell me they didn't have my order. This 100 percent breaks my heart that I have to give Whataburger a 1 star. I love Whataburger. I only get to eat here when I am in a town with one, being I am from Denver. Anyhow, my husband and I drove to the Balloon Fiesta this weekend and decided to have a burger for breakfast. The patty was old and dry and burnt. Food is decent and service is ok. The only thing that's worst here is waiting time at the drive through. I've been here 3 times and every single time it took no less than 15 minutes at least. First time 15 to ordering and 10mins to get my food. Second time I gave up after waited for 20 and not even close to order any food. And third time waited for 10 mins to order and another 15 minutes.
