Our belief is that whether you are…read morejust starting out w/ your new pet, or you've had her for a number of years, the training & mentoring available from Corrina is invaluable. We just recently got a new dog (Bean, a Tibetan Terrier Poodle), and we were a bit apprehensive. This is our family's first dog, and we wanted to "do it right." Having Corrina assist us w/ advice and training has created what we feel the "optimal situation" -- meaning a well-trained dog, and some (semi)-knowledgable owners! Specifically, the training regimen that Corrina uses is "positive reinforcement" and consistency. It works! Our 7 month old puppy is 100% house-broken, responds to commands, and has become an awesome member of our family. Corrina can also help w/ nutrition, medical referrals, daycare referrals, and will entertain requests for "sleep-over camp" -- or "board & train" as she calls them. The true test is that BEAN goes nuttty every time she sees Corrina. Highly recommend this pet trainer/mentor/jedi if you've got a 4-legged friend!

This was becoming a huge challenge (and pain) in our daily walks. Getting his attention was a non starter, it was at that point I decided to seek out some individualized training (the thought of having him in a group class was laughable). I came across Karma Dog Training and put in my information for a consultation. Jeffrey got back to me later that day and we talked about my goals and expectations. Mainly, trying to establish control over this behemoth and finding games to keep his mind occupied while im out of the house. He said he would bring it up at the staff meeting the next morning to determine who would be the best fit. I got a callback from Pilla the next day. She specializes in behavior modification and is the proud owner of a great dane as well as a shelter dog. We started off slow, establishing that the overarching goal is being able to get his attention is where the training flows from. She then wanted to observe him in the house with my other dog as well as during feeding time. She made some observations (like my 1st dog guarding me like a resource against the newcomer) while at the same time making suggestions that would make my life with him easier. She then starting showing me easy to utilize signals to get his attention, we spent the day learning variations of this. After the end of the first lesson, I was able to get his attention on a daily basis. We have a lot of work to do still, but we made an impressive amount of progress, enough to get me to buy a 6 lesson pack. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus, the rest of our lessons had to be postponed after lesson 2. But Pilla has kept in contact with me over the weeks to make sure I'm repeating the fundamentals with my dog. Since the lessons build off of the success of the previous ones. Cant wait to see how my dog develops when the lessons resume!

I tried every online tutorial and blog, working for months on my own trying to gradually desensitize my dog to being alone. After months of little to no progress, I was starting to worry I'd have a dog with life long panic attacks who I could never leave alone. I tried several private trainers, who more or less parroted the same things I was reading online and had already tried on my own. Anytime I left the house I either had to take my pup with me or pay someone from rover if I couldn't find an available friend to watch her. I had several months off before starting a new job, and I treated training my dog like a full time job yet still wasn't making progress. Sammye's reverse board and train changed everything. After a few weeks of reverse board and train days (The trainer comes to your house for several hours to work on a problem in the dogs home environment), I now have a dog who I can leave at home without a second thought. No crying, no whining, and certainly no more panic attacks! Sammye was always very respectful of my home and I always felt comfortable leaving her with my pup and a house key. As a bonus, my pup was always exhausted after a full day of working with Sammye, which meant I got to enjoy a tired out, snuggly pup when I got home. Sammye was incredibly patient with her, and used positive reinforcement methods that aligned with my own philosophy (I can't say the same of the other trainers I tried). Sammye was so professional and clearly very knowledgeable in her field, and I cannot recommend her enough. If I could give her 10 stars I would. As my pup grows more I'm sure we will run into other problems, and I fully intend on reaching out to Sammye when the time comes. Thank you Sammye for all your hard work!

You'll get plenty of support you need along the way as long as you'll ask for it. He'll also provide a ton of materials (videos, books, articles) you need to familiarize yourself with to set you up for success. Me and my dogs are working on solving the fence fighting issue, and so far one of them is actually responsive to my efforts. When I reached out to Michael I didn't think that much can be done, but now I see a light at the end of a very, very long tunnel :). All our sessions have been online so far, as few days before our first scheduled meeting the stay at home order was placed. Online conference worked just as well for us, and we didn't have to delay the training any longer. A recent addition- online "support group" where his customers can share ideas and chat is a great idea too! Overall, I couldn't be happier with the decision to work with Michael.

Playtime was not fun for us because he would get too worked up and end up with what I called a "zoomy meltdown", which involved a lot of jumping and nipping. Thanks to the training, we have an energetic sweet boy instead of a lot of stress and worry.

I wanted a personal protection dog that's not only obedient, but good with kids and family. A trained dog that can go anywhere with me. Wether it's a car ride, hiking, swimming or maybe go to the mall. I wanted a dog that can do many tricks and impress my friends and family while protecting us anywhere we go. I started researching online and discovered that such a dog can cost anywhere from $50k to a $120k (not kidding). Not willing to spend this kind of money, I decided to go a different route. I started my search for a good working lines German shepherd dog breeder and found one locally. I got my pup around 8 weeks old and wanted to find a good dog trainer right away. After countless days of speaking to different trainers, I came across Nick through Facebook and decided to give him a try. From the moment I spoke to Nick, I knew that he was a great fit for Apollo. He explained to me that this is a project dog and cannot be completed overnight and will require different courses throughout my puppy's development which I happily agreed to. I sent Apollo in for the very first time at 3 months old for his first 2 weeks program. It made a huge difference. I couldn't believe that it was the same dog. Apollo was crate trained, obedient and was able to learn more than 7 commands in German. Apollo is 7 months old now and I just dropped him off to Nick for another 2 weeks. I can't wait to see what my pup can learn this time! It's really hard to find a dog trainer that can handle Apollo's level of energy. I will not let anyone touch Apollo but Nick.

One of the worst financial decisions I've made in my life. I came in for a consultation for one…read moredog. The trainer offered me a "discount" if I enrolled both of my dogs in a two week boarding/training program. $4,000. I was told I would get updates with videos and I had to keep calling/emailing for those. I went to visit halfway in the program via appointment made and still had to wait 25 minutes to see them. When I came to pick them up, one of the trainers was yelling at several dogs and talking under her breath about other owners. The day I picked up my dogs, the trainer must have been in a bad mood and not interested in showing me what they "learned". I noticed they didn't have food and they said they tried to call me. No texts, no voicemails, no emails. I emailed the office after I left and was offered an opportunity to come back to learn how to work with them more. Though that session was more helpful, they did an absolute terrible job from start to finish. They even couldn't spell my dogs names right. My dogs cannot walk on a leash without me having to use their collar every second. They still have anxiety going through doors and waiting. I wouldn't dare bring my dogs back for their "immersion" with other dogs. they told me an excuse after expressing dissatisfaction: they would have done better if they had gone separately. Yet I incentivized to enroll them together ?? Terrible service and business. These people don't know what their doing. I should have disputed the transaction.
