I recently moved back home with my mom, grandparents, and their 2 dogs. So while Bane wasn't "bad", we felt that he could use a little training so he's just more obedient around my grandparents and the other 2 dogs. So my mom and I started doing research on the best dog trainers in our area. We found one that , according to reviews, and his 13k followers on Instagram, ended up being the best fit for what we were looking for. We met the "trainer" at his house the day we dropped Bane off and got to know him. I regret to say that I didn't see any red flags and felt we could trust him. We were told Bane would be there for 2 weeks and was going to be staying inside the house with his family during non training hours and at night. We were shown his many acres of land with obvious training posts and everything seemed like we expected. A week into training we got a text from the "trainer" that Bane didn't eat one night and he asked if he could go buy some wet dog food to mix with his dry food. I agreed that was okay and sent him the brand I wanted him to use. The next morning we got a text that said Bane ate like a champ and was doing fine now. He then asked to keep Bane a little longer because he wasn't picking up on some of the training. I will admit, at this point, my gut was telling me something wasn't right but after spending $1800 for training I wanted him to get everything he needed out of it. So I agreed he could stay longer. On February 22, I stepped away from work after receiving texts and calls from my mom that Bane was headed to the vet with the "trainer" because he had diarrhea. I immediately started heading to my boy, praying along the way that everything was okay. When I arrived at the vet my mom, Bane, and the "trainer" were already in the room. When I opened the door I first saw my mom... her eyes were red and she was crying. The next place my eyes went to was my dog... and looking at the condition he was in I couldn't really process what I was seeing. (Using some choice words) I immediately told the "trainer" that it was probably best if he left before things escalated. I was shaking and sick to my stomach that I not only trusted this person to take care of my dog but that I didn't listen to my gut and didn't get my baby sooner. The vet eventually came in and said based on the sores on his feet, and the redness of his elbows that it was a sign he was bored laying on concrete for hours that he licked his paws raw. His nails on his front paws were broken off, probably from scratching trying to get out of he kennel. He had cage feet because the kennel he was in was too small for him to stretch out. And worst of all he was extremely emaciated because he hadn't eaten in at least a week if not more. Bane was 100 pounds when I dropped him off. On February 22, he was 81. That doesn't happen overnight. Upon leaving the vet, I immediately went to the police station hoping to file a report but they said I couldn't. I left any other communication with the "trainer" as far as getting money back up to my mom because I had nothing to say to him. There is no excuse to treat a dog like this. And I didn't want to give him the opportunity to try and defend himself. However, even with the few texts my mom sent following leaving the vet he has yet to even apologize. But continues posting other dogs going home happy and healthy on his Instagram. I'm posting this for anyone in my area looking for a dog trainer to STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN. Obviously not every dog has had the experience Bane had and that begs the question of "why?". Why was my dog singled out to receive this treatment? I wasn't ready to post anything until I knew Bane was going to be okay. After a steroid shot, antibiotics, sore ointment, diarrhea medication, and plain food diet (chicken, rice, cottage cheese) Bane is finally getting back to himself. It's amazing what happens when you feed a dog....

Paid for the boarding training program $2700. He had him for 5 weeks. He went in weighing 80lbs and came out weighing 66lbs, had urine burn on his ear, and he smelled really bad. The owner recommended we add fat to his diet because he couldn't keep weight on him, but I did not have to add fat to his diet and now he is 90lbs. i can only guess he was underfed and the vet was appalled. I would never recommend anyone take your animal to unstoppable K9's. You can respond how you want but nothing you say will change my experience. I have thought over this review a year before writing this because I didn't want to start conflict, but people should really know so it doesn't happen to their animals. And no I didn't go for follow up lessons, who would want to after having your animal returned like this.take down your FB.. that's fine. I posted the pictures here

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time. I have recommended Unstoppable k9s to several of my friends since our puppy imprinting class in August. My 5 month old Whippet puppy, Jett, was very stubborn and not house broken at all. The training she received demonstrated an extraordinary difference in behavior. She was able to do several commands including sit, down, place, heel and walk with a loose leash. Also, she was no longer biting fingers, shoes or picking up leaves etc off the ground on walks. Potty training and kennel training were worked on as well. (She still struggles in these areas) Jett's training coincided with Hurricane Harvey. The trainers at Unstoppable K9s were very professional handling the event and kept me informed of their safety. They were also flexible with her boarding as I was stuck out of town during the storm when her boot camp ended. She did drink the standing flood water and was a little ill upon returning however Jett seeks out any puddle in her normal everyday life. (Aah) All my visits during the training were very informative. Due to the storm I wasn't able to visit Jett until the day her training camp was over. Gabriel observed Jetts interactions with me and offered to keep her a few more days to polish her skills. Upon graduation, an extensive "human training" session is taught to provide you with the skills to keep Jett trained for life. I found this to be extremely helpful and wish I could do a better job working with Jett daily. It is truly amazing to see Unstoppable K9s family dogs and know what level your dog could one day achieve with continued work and dedication. It's easy to see the passion the trainers possess and the dogs enjoy the training/ play time at their home. I look forward to boarding Jett with Unstoppable in the future and open to doing additional training classes to advance her trick skill bag.

Words cannot fully describe how happy and satisfied I am with the training given to my little Pikachu! I got him back on Monday and I must say I am totally and completely impressed. I was a little worried about having him in my apartment because I expected having to worry about complaints of him barking at every sudden movement he heard. But that's one thing he doesn't do! He actually goes to investigate first but quickly realizes it's nothing and comes back. He's so sweet, loving but most of all obedient! He does well with other dogs which is a great plus! I don't have to worry about him going insane when walking him. It's funny how other dogs will go crazy but mine is so calm about it and listens to my commands and doesn't get out of control. I can't thank you enough!! Y'all rock! By the way!! Thanks for the Christmas photo! He is absolutely precious!!

Very Expensive!!! My dog was at this place for about six months, to be trained. After all this months and almost $8,000.00 my dog only knows how to sit. This company is a fraud. Front desk girls are so rude. This place is all about the money.

BEWARE***Kennel Cough Alert*** 12/10/2024 I dropped my dog off for the first time at a boarding facility here. I felt confident after speaking with the lady that works there that this would be a decent place for my furbaby. I did not have a great experience with the man that works there and to find out, he's the "General Manager". I dropped my, almost 2 y.o., dog off here from 11/30 - 12/8 as we were going on a cruise. Upon pick-up on 12/8 around 11:45am, I asked the GM how was Kingsley's stay, and he replied "good". I expected to hear more than just good as an update, but ok. As the GM brings out my baby, he is coughing and honking. I asked the GM about it and he "promised" that Kingsley wasn't sick but was pulling on his harness (not collar). I told him that in all the year(s) that I've had him, he's never made those sounds pulling on a leash. I asked him if he was sure and he stated the same thing. When I got home, Kingsley continued to cough, honk, sneeze, and try to clear his throat. Around 4pm, I called back to inform them that he's still making these sounds and there's no harness or anything on him. The GM said how it was impossible to be Kennel Cough, how they had a slow week, how there wasn't many dogs, etc. The thing is, Kingsley is unaltered, so he couldn't have the play time with other dogs anyway so it doesn't make sense. Kingsley also had soft stool with blood. I asked him if he had noticed or if any staff had noticed and he said no. This leads me to believe that they are not keeping a true watchful eye on the dogs to any degree. The GM says that him nor any of the staff heard Kingsley coughing or noticed blood in his stool. Kingsley was with them for 9 or so days and he did not arrive like that. I've never had any illnesses with him up until this point which I expressed to the GM. My rhetorical question to him was so this is Kingsley's 1st time coughing at my noon pick-up and bloody stool by 4pm and it's sudden onset?! That's ridiculous. The GM denied it and said how we couldn't prove anything without a vet's opinion as he is not one. He said after taking Kingsley to a vet, then we could have "the" conversation. On 12/9, I took Kingsley to urgent care and he, in fact, has Kennel Cough. They loved on him and prescribed him medication. I relayed the GM's messages to them to check for their medical opinion and they made it clear that it's impossible that his very first time showing signs of Kennel Cough and bloody stool was when I picked him up. I called Paws and Friends today, 12/10/24 around 5:30 pm, and confirmed the Kennel Cough to the GM. Did he apologize? No! Did he seem caring? No! His response was that Kennel Cough is not 100% preventable. I could understand that to a certain degree. My issue with him is the denial, suspected dishonesty, and the lack of accountability and customer service. I asked him if there would be any reimbursement for his medical care or even a portion of his stay, the GM said no. I feel that like paying for Kingley's vet care at the bare minimum could have righted this wrong. Quite actually, I would have been the upmost satisfied with a more transparent answer and wellness update upon pickup akin to "Hey, I'm not sure if Kingsley is ill, but we noticed this and that and we'd advise he'd be seen for these symptoms because ( ) isn't 100% preventable. But no, I received an Oh, he's just pulling on his leash, I promise he isn't sick. Oh, he just coughed once, that's not indicative of Kennel Cough. The service and treatment my family received is unacceptable and I cannot recommend Paws and Friends to anyone with pets. Also, I asked the GM if there was anyone that I could speak to besides him, a District Manager, the owner, anyone above him. Guess what, he's the end-all-be-all. In his words, the owner isn't really involved in the business. For boarding, I spent shy of $300 and for vet care, I spent about $280. **Message shortened for update space**

My dogs are accustomed to being around, just our family and don't always be friend new people readily. They immediately took to the owner, Brian. Our dogs are on a diet where they have a mixture of dry and wet food that require refrigeration or freezing. That was no problem at all for the owner to accommodate. The fellas looked well cared for when my son picked them up! My son forgot to check for the dogs blankets when he picked them up and Brian kindly drove them down to the city where we live so that the dogs would have them. Before she went, I'd worked with her on sit, down, take it, leave it, and some spins with decent success. Brian took what she had and built on it, adding heel, come when called, turn, and stay. He returned a noticeably different dog. When we hit some bumps shortly after, he came back out and spent a solid hour with me going over what was actually happening...not just commands and corrections, but why she was behaving the way she was and what she needed from me to feel secure. (Spoiler: she needed me to be more confident and consistent.) He has a way of cutting straight to what matters without overcomplicating it, and more than once he said exactly the right thing at exactly the right moment. What struck me most across both experiences was how much genuine wisdom he brings to his work. He's clearly someone who has learned his craft through deep experience and observation, and it shows in every interaction with the dog and with the owner. On top of all of that, his pricing was incredibly reasonable; boarding and training combined for what many trainers charge for training alone. We felt genuinely taken care of. Kind, patient, perceptive, and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend.

I specifically asked to keep the long hair on my dog's back, which we had been growing out for 6 months. But instead, they shaved it completely. Even worse, they left mats behind the ears, under the chin, and on the belly. When I kindly asked them to remove the mats, the receptionist responded loudly that it would "change the dog's haircut." Seriously? I believe removing mats should be standard grooming procedure -- and if there's an issue, the professional thing to do would be to call the owner or explain. Instead, they just left them and said it would "ruin the style." Meanwhile, the haircut was already nothing like what I requested. Now I have to take my pup to another groomer to fix what they ignored -- and even they were surprised mats were left behind. Sorry, but this is not how responsible pet care should be handled. I'm really disappointed.
